DC has confirmed we are set to make another free agent signing, reading between the lines I expect it to be Solanke from West Brom who’s been training with us since early pre season.

Defensive midfielder.

I think some are saying it could be the LB we had on trial Danny Amos who used to play for Donny.

That could make sense as if we are sticking primarily to 3 CB’s then Jones can go permanently to LCB and I think that works better as you need good ball players to make this work and Amos can work behind Benning.

Reckon that makes good sense to be honest. Jones into the back three as first choice LCB and Benning can now be first choice at LWB.

Can't have too many ex Hartlepool players. What's that now? Six plus DC?

Think that’s right - Amos, Cass, Jones, Johnson, Rodders, Walker.

Hartlepool are now our new Carlisle I guess. Probably be dragging Joe Allon back out of retirement at this rate.

Feel embarrassed to say it but Theo Robinson wasn't bad for us. Scored 7 in 16. Decent at bringing others into play with the ball played to feet.

Maybe we were the anomaly or my memory deceives me.
He's not the only striker you have got back to scoring goals

No idea mate tbh. Came in as assistant last season with no fans and left after 3 games this season - so kinda impossible to say I’m afraid

The only thing I can say about him was -- He seemed a decent bloke.

We need a centre back that can win the ball in the air. If we don't get that then we will struggle again.

Today proved how important Leggey is, without his dominance we will probably be ok against your footballing sides but teams with a big oaf up front are going to cause us problems until he’s back.

Jake Beesley may be tall, granted, but he was also bright enough to get on the end of two excellent crosses. Not his fault if your defenders had an off day.

Don't know whether "Big Leggy" would have rescued Vale in John Wayne style, or whether that is just a hazy fantasy of better times for your defence...

Legge is a monster whereas Smith and Martin as shown yesterday don’t have the physical dominance in the air, the second goal especially key in point. Legge wouldn’t have allowed that header, and that’s the issue. We will be ok without him against your FGR type sides but teams loading the box with a big man up front is a worry after yesterday as we didn’t sign the cover centre half we needed on deadline day.

Swindon fans - tell me about Zeki Fryers?

Do you see him as a CB, LB or LWB?

Crawley have signed free agent Alex Battle (he played yesterday). Forward with lots of fans liking him but not that disappointed to see him leave.

Rumour is we tried to sign another centre half before yesterday's game but couldn't get it through the fa quick enough. I'm guessing at Joe Lynch if the rumour is true.

We initially signed him as a LB, but he always looked his best as a left sided CB. Good leap, good with ball at his feet, good anticipation for interceptions. Wasn't the best at marking, but his recovery pace meant he often recovered from the error. Fitness big issue though, first issue had recurring niggling injuries so would come back, get in to form after a handful of games before getting injured again, and second season was absent for basically the whole season. On ability, good L2 CB, so hope he stays fit

Now confirmed that Joel Lynch has signed for Crawley. Just a four month deal though.

Uncompromising centre half who has been at the club since March but only as a recovering from injury thing.

The announcement video has a couple of cracking tackles, a nice pass and two superb goals! Here's hoping.

Fin Shrimpton has gone on loan from Scunny to Grantham. Surely this lad is at the wrong North/North East Lincs club as his parent club?
