We will apparently sign Palace midfielder Scott Banks on loan when he's recovered from injury.

He might be good, he might be shit. I know what I'm putting my money on.

Cheap and injured. Signing all but confirmed then.

There is a gap, it's not massive but if/when you come up you will notice the standard is better.

That said with your money and squad if you do come up you should be threatening the top 7
Every team we have played have played football, apart from the couple of hoofball games we played.
In the NL its about 6 or 7.
Thankfully the best thing for me is there's hardly any 'sportsmanship' which stinks the NL out.

I can’t see it personally unless someone like Jake Taylor or Brad Walker were to move on. Of those I’d say Taylor would be the more possible as his agent is the Vale summariser on Radio Stoke and is constantly dropping passive aggressive comments about him not playing. Surely Pomlett wouldn’t sanction doing any transfer business with us though?

Does seem at Walsall a lot of the excitement had seen after you beat us has very much gone away now. Doesn’t seem that Taylor is being put in the best position to succeed by Pomlett etc which I think was DC’s issue there.

I suspect as Legge wasn’t in the match day squad he might well be moving on, some of his Tweeting on covid and the vaccine haven’t helped his cause I think and DC has said before vaccination status may well play a role in our recruitment.
Fans are starting to turn on pomlett now mate sick of his bullshite and flanel

Luke Charman from Darlington rumoured for us as Beesley replacement. Seems to know where the goal is, and also seems to know how to annoy referees.

Bradford also rumoured to be interested, which is concerning if they really only sign crap players...
As i've said before Charman has it within him to be a gem of a signing. Strong, quick, really skilful, and good in the air. If I was Hartlepool, i'd have tried for him before Carver any day of the week. As for the sending's off, i'd ignore the latest one against Spennymoor which was possibly the biggest joke i've ever seen - a clear push to the chest to escape a WWE Chokehold interpreted as an elbow to the face, despite video evidence proving no such thing happened. The other, if I recall, was a mistimed tackle, which also could have as easily been a yellow. Won't be bullied, which is a good thing, but far from being a dirty player. Hopefully having a couple of clubs after him will get us a better fee.

Kenny Jackett has confirmed that Theo Archibald is staying with us for the rest of the season the deadline for Lincoln to recall him has now passed, but is currently out with an injury for 2 weeks.

There are players out there who refs hate. When they're your player it sucks. When they're the opposition's player it's good fun.

We've had a few at Crawley over the years. Breathe on the opposition and the ref reaches for a red...meantime the thug centre back commits assault!

If the refs have taken against him then maybe avoid?

Can't see why refs would have taken against him. He's not someone who is in their ear all the time, moaning about every decision, nor is he constantly fouling defenders. The first sending off, could see why it was given, and equally why he could have got a yellow. The second, he was the victim of an appalling decision from a dreadful referee, not helped by an oscar winning performance by the opposition centre half.

Looks like Hussey is set to complete his move to Vale despite Cheltenham wanting him to stay but accepting the bid.

Rumours Crawley after one of our centre backs (assume Legge as from that end of the woods maybe)

It'd have to be Legge you'd think. Can't even think of another CB we have that we would entertain letting go.

See Rochdale have confirmed they have sold Jake Beesley to Blackpool. Hopefully for them they've got a good deal for him but I'm very glad we won't have to see him again this season. He was brilliant against us.

I was looking at the bottom of a bottle of red wine when I wrote this.

I didn't make it clear that I've never seen the guy play. I was just trying (badly) to make the point that some players are sent off for every little thing they do wrong while others get away with murder.

Note to self. Stick to beer.

Not after a midfielder are you? rumour today we have accepted a bid for Liam Kinsella he was benched after starting the last 3 games and playing well bit strange.Popular player here it would not go down well if he was allowed to leave even more so if it was DC after him lol
We're after a midfielder.

What sort of midfielder is he?

We’re one of several clubs interested in a loan move for Aberdeen midfielder/full back Dean Campbell according to a pretty reliable local journo.

Yep alongside ourselves and Bolton, think Pete O'Rourke tweeted it a few days ago so clearly got legs in it. Quite why we'd be looking at a midfielder I'm not sure though as it's probably the most well stocked area of our squad.
