These Zanzala rumours are ludicrous! I can only see him going on loan at a lower division/Scotland in the hope that he finds his feet again.

Signed some lad on loan from Huddersfield. Again no idea who he is but seems to have been banging them in at U23 level for how much that is worth.

Also been linked with a lad at Aberdeen called Dean Campbell alongside Bolton and FGR, not really sure why we’d be in the market for a midfielder to be honest and obviously Bolton would be the favourite there.

Could be another Alex Jones or could be useless but worth a punt.

Guesses the fact we've gone for two youngsters Wilson and Procs are at least close.

Signed defender Anthony Glennon on loan from Burnley, had a stint at Grimsby a couple of years ago. Any good GTFCfish?
He’s quality and probably the best LB we had at this level, it’s not the highest bar but he stood out a mile.

Fans of other clubs who had never seen him play disagreed as you can see on here, no doubt he’ll ruin a few of their Saturday afternoons between now and May

Wilson certainly is close if not back already, I think Proctor might be a little while yet. Lot to ask of some young players if they’re not though.

Also looks like Chris Hussey set to sign from Cheltenham. This is from their local reporter. I like it to be honest. Always impressed me before.

Chuffed with that one too.

Older than I would expect us to go for but has quality and good cover for Gibbons (unless he is off).

Guess this means Benning will be off.

Well if we genuinely have enquired, and Exeter are genuinely interested, then we have no chance.
He was brought up in Derby but after leaving them he's spent his career in the North West. If he still lives in Derby then location clearly isn't a factor in where he's prepared to go, possible though he lives somewhere in the North West having been at Accrington, Crewe, us and now Barrow.

Not necessarily, it could be the case with Worrall they are being cautious so Gibbo will move to the right and they can alternate in and out in what is quite a demanding role and then Benning and Hussey to do the same on the left. Adds some welcome experience and quality to us though regardless.

Hopefully the case, plus is we change formation you can end up pushing Woz back as a wide forward.

I think we could do worse than Zanzala. I’m the summer I was keen to go for someone like him as he seemed to have a good spell at Carlisle and he looks like a right old unit.

Not sure why his form at Barrow has stalled so much. Location wise, it’s also a big move to come all the way down south but perhaps a complete change would sort him out. And I can see him filling the role that Nombe plays so well, so this could have some substance.

He's not quite hit the standards of last season after stepping up to League 1 but he'll sure as hell still be one of the best left-backs in League 2. Really good signing for you.

Looks like we've paid a fee on this one.

I've always rated him (we've been on the end of his delivery a few times in fairness!)

Interesting to see what happens though as Gibbons playing left wing back has been absolute quality.

Every left-back in League 2 is the best left-back in League 2.
This is true. Our left back, Jake Caprice is the best left back in L2 and he’s really a right back, which makes him extra better.

If memory serves me right Cheltenham use a 3 centre-back system like we do. Has he ever filled in at LCB as that right now is a glaring vacancy for the next three games at least? Seems like it’s a good deal for all parties, you get some money for a player who L1 may be a bit beyond him at this point and we get a proven player at this level.

He has, though not that well.

He's just been caught out by the pace of League 1. His dead ball is still phenomenal. The most one-footed player I've ever seen, his right foot is barely worth standing on, but he's been so good for us.

Gutted to see him go, but I get why we're letting him.

Danny Whitehead and Danny Amos have left Vale.

Whitehead was a disaster last season, feel for Amos though liked what I saw in the Pizza Cup and seemed the right age to push on.

We also have Jack Sparkes, who is the best left back playing in midfield in the Conference

Surely someone is going to have a crack at signing Telford? I think maybe the most likely scenario is he hangs on til end of season, tries to get Newport promoted and then collects a nice fat signing on fee from a L1 side if it doesn't come off, with Newport constantly trying to offer him a new contract. Something like that

Crawley have signed 20yr old keeper, Seymour Taylor, from that hotspot of football; Burgess Hill Town.

I've seen him on live streams and he looks a decent prospect but I'm hoping Morris doesn't get injured.

Yeah our previous manager signed all your rejects. Joe Riley, Callum Guy, Danny Devine, Jordan Gibson, Omari Patrick. There’s probably more that I’ve forgot.

Patrick was good for us last season which got him the move up to League 1. Think he’s struggled to hold down a place at Burton so maybe League 2 is his level.

I remembered a 6th ex Bantam you have, Kelvin Mellor

Sounds like we’re about to sign Marcus Carver?

Really wouldn't expect him to make the step up - we had him on loan a number of years ago, and any time he's played us since he's been fairly quiet. Never been a high scorer before this season either.

Mansfield being linked to Lucas Akins and Brayford again, I think they are out of contract in the summer so maybe we’ll get one of them this time.

So that’s John Marquis, Lucas Akins and Brayford linked so far. Marquis just seems financially out of reach and the other two we never seem to get over the line.

Not in the match day squad today despite having no fit strikers.

Typical, he's just produced his best half of the season so far!

Sounds like we don't want him to go but given his age and what must be a reasonable offer we're letting him speak to Vale. Based on this first half though I'd quite like him to stay...

So looks like he’s on his way out then. I’d be relatively pleased if we did get him but considering he’s played in the north most of his career, I’d be surprised if he moved all the way down to us.
