DC in his post match interview certainly didn’t deny the Hussey rumour. Obviously nothing is done until it’s announced officially. He has indicated we are in the market for up to 4 more players. Definitely can’t say we’re not giving it a go.

Based on the half hour or so today if they are as good as Harratt looks I will be more than happy.

So looks like he’s on his way out then. I’d be relatively pleased if we did get him but considering he’s played in the north most of his career, I’d be surprised if he moved all the way down to us.

He was injured today. Or should that be 'injured'...

Mansfield being linked to Lucas Akins and Brayford again, I think they are out of contract in the summer so maybe we’ll get one of them this time.

So that’s John Marquis, Lucas Akins and Brayford linked so far. Marquis just seems financially out of reach and the other two we never seem to get over the line.
Hope you get Brayford - more chance of us getting O'Keeffe.

If its a loan deal for the rest of the season he might be more amenable. Whi wouldn't want to spend Spring on the Costa Del Devon?

I’m 99% certain O’Keefe is going either way, Brayford would probably be a replacement for O’Toole if he doesn’t sign a new contract.

Mansfield need to sort out the situation where Oli Hawkins is still playing at CB, we need him upfront for the rest of the season ideally.

Zanzala's off to Exeter. Cooper confirmed it. Replacement striker coming in on Monday.

Wonder what percentage of his wages they're paying? Best case scenario is he starts scoring against some of our rivals and we get a fee for him or a rejuvenated striker in the summer. Can't see him doing much though, personally.

Was that in his post match interview? Anyone got a link?

Also, can he play as a central striker or is he more of a wide forward?

Michael Duff has said we've accepted a 5 figure bid, but we want him to stay. Ball's completely in Chris Hussey's court.

Not after a midfielder are you? rumour today we have accepted a bid for Liam Kinsella he was benched after starting the last 3 games and playing well bit strange.Popular player here it would not go down well if he was allowed to leave even more so if it was DC after him lol

We are after 4 or 5 players still apparently which is a bit more than I expected as could see 6-7 overall in which is a big change, can’t see us prioritising central midfield as we have Conlon, Pett, Garrity pretty much nailed on and Jake Taylor, Burgess and Walker in reserve so imagine if Taylor goes we’d go for a young loanee (we are apparently after a lad from Aberdeen)

I can’t see it personally unless someone like Jake Taylor or Brad Walker were to move on. Of those I’d say Taylor would be the more possible as his agent is the Vale summariser on Radio Stoke and is constantly dropping passive aggressive comments about him not playing. Surely Pomlett wouldn’t sanction doing any transfer business with us though?

Does seem at Walsall a lot of the excitement had seen after you beat us has very much gone away now. Doesn’t seem that Taylor is being put in the best position to succeed by Pomlett etc which I think was DC’s issue there.

I suspect as Legge wasn’t in the match day squad he might well be moving on, some of his Tweeting on covid and the vaccine haven’t helped his cause I think and DC has said before vaccination status may well play a role in our recruitment.

Yeah Legge and Rodney not in the squad may suggest both are off. Rumours on Rodney going the other day.

Legge though could be isolating as he would have to if a close contact with anyone.

As seen with Sutton the gap between the leagues isn’t that wide so it’s worrying he hadn’t stepped up but by far his best season was under Challinor so there is hope with that.

I’m hoping it’s a loan deal.
There is a gap, it's not massive but if/when you come up you will notice the standard is better.

That said with your money and squad if you do come up you should be threatening the top 7

Not excited at all about this Carver (of the Marcus variety, not the Cumbrian idiot). Everybody saying he's mince despite a purple patch this season.

Asking a lot of a journeyman coming from semi pro football to lead the line in the football league

The standard is definitely higher. The key difference is mistakes at the back are punished by quality strikers, and don't fall to the feet of someone like Shamir Mullings who scoops the ball over the bar from 6 yards out. The money being splashed down there and some of the players that have ended up there will make it seem like there's no difference.

From the Ale and the Vale pod they’ve said in Legges case it was more a fitness thing as to why he didn’t play.

They did indicate that there may be something to Rodney going elsewhere. I’m presuming on loan but not sure where as it won’t be a higher league so would guess lower half club of L2 possibly?

Also seems Sprosons mouth has not gone unnoticed at the club in regard to Jake Taylor. Best thing he can do is ditch him as his agent. Sprosons real issue is we don’t just automatically use him for our recruitment any more. Think it was last season on commentary when he was trying to explain how one of his other clients Adam Crookes was the fastest player at the club, lost all right to be taken seriously from then on.

Teams are tactically much more disciplined here, fitness levels are higher and as you say more quality in both boxes.

The reason someone like Ryan Johnson who is a decent conference defender but struggles here is he can't read the game and forward players have more nous so he will get caught out far too often even if like down there, he still wins his aerial battles and is still a threat from set plays.

Momentum, bring an unknown quantity and money plays a huge part in any promoted side in any league so if you have that you should be fine.

Our flying RB Kaine Kessler-Hayden has been recalled from his loan spell by Villa. Disappointing before 2 tough league games.

Zanzala is a good signing for Exeter.

Don’t know why Barrow didn’t see the best of him, but if Exeter can get the player we started to see last season then he’ll be a success.

We will apparently sign Palace midfielder Scott Banks on loan when he's recovered from injury.

He might be good, he might be shit. I know what I'm putting my money on.

Luke Charman from Darlington rumoured for us as Beesley replacement. Seems to know where the goal is, and also seems to know how to annoy referees.

Bradford also rumoured to be interested, which is concerning if they really only sign crap players...

He'll sign for you, we're too tight to pay the fee. And then we'll be told we never wanted him anyway as we sign Carlisle's fifth choice striker on loan on deadline day.
