Confirmed now, loan till the end of the season.
Highly rated by the one sensible Hartlepool Mag that I know. Would have liked a permanent signing in midfield, but the two lads we've got on loan should be enough to see us through the season. Then the real hard work will start.

Ideally would still like a left sided attacker, someone to provide balance if Molyneux plays on right, though we can probably manage. And a goalkeeper.

Joe White is a Carlisle lad so was wondering if we were interested, but midfield is the one area of the pitch where we’re pretty well stacked.

Although even if we were in for him, the fact another EFL club were as well immediately ends our chances given that we’re 92nd choice for players.

The Newcastle lads i work with are expecting big things from him.
We've got some very highly rated loan players with us now, who need to start every week,or clubs will stop sending players here.
I'm a lot more optimistic about the season compared to last week.

I'm also feeling better about it all, he's clearly beefing the team up with signings all clearing 6foot, most well above, wonder if we'll see any more outgoings, you'd imagine Fletcher and White are coming here with the expectation of starting games.

Scunthorpe now taking their league status seriously. Might be too little too late but at least they are trying. In fact every club seems to be… with one notable exception. Why am I not surprised?

don't worry - you'll sign Jacob Blyth just before the window closes...

He’s way too good for league 2. The loss of Cooper & Twine in January last season were key factors in County fading badly from top of the league last year ( as well as playing on a turnip patch).
Confirmed! Looking a very good window for us.

Sam Ashford leaves Crawley on a free transfer to try his luck in Scotland with Ayr Utd.

I though he wasn't a bad player but never really got a run in the side to really show if he was any good.

Cryptic Cooper saying we've got another 'big' signing coming in on Monday.

Good player? Big as in a fat bastard? Big cock? New manager?

From what DC has said after the game we are looking at bringing in a right-back on Monday. Does then give us the option of going to a back four which might be the way to go for us as we approach the back end of the season.

Where does Cooper play James? Is he a ball playing centre back or can he play Right back? Just trying to work out where we would utilise him.
He’s a ball playing centre back. Played mainly on the right of a back three for us last season if I recall correctly. Not a right back or a wing back. Ticks all the boxes for attributes needed in a centre half plus composed on the ball & v good at bringing the ball out of the defence. So yeah he’s pretty good!

Seems like we’ve agreed a loan for a striker who’s already been on loan at a league 2 club earlier this season. And by Taylor’s comments, it was a loan that didn’t work out, so not too optimistic.

With a quick bit of research it could be one of Kieran Phillips or Timmy Abraham but probably someone else!

Yeah that name has been mentioned too. I assume from his record at Carlisle he wasn’t up to much?

We were linked with Young and Barry but have only signed Barry. I suspect as we've also brought in Josh Davison we don't need anymore forward players.

Garner has said we are definitely bringing in one and maybe 2. Won't be going over 5 loanees so suspect it'll be a right back. Be very happy if Kessler-Hayden comes back but suspect he may go higher up the pyramid.

Few younger players will probably go out on loan.

Brandon Cooper signing for you has ruined my weekend completely.

Apparently we’re expecting 2 or 3 more additions with Pitman told he’s free to go.

Rumours are Danny Lloyd is coming in. Anyone know what he’s like?

Good attitude, works hard, not afraid to get stuck in, but just isn’t quite ready for League 2. Never looked like scoring. Maybe playing with better players would help him.

That Alan Nixon has linked us with Harrison Biggins of Fleetwood, he's played 20 odd games for them this season, can't see us being in for him and it's another centre mid, got them coming out of our ears.

played on loan with us for the 1st half of last season, scored twice - got a lot of stick off some of the fans online - which was largely undeserved.

Biggins was made a scapegoat for an underperforming David Dunn team. I thought he was decent in spells.

Wonder what Pitman will do next? Non-league?
I reckon he could probably get a deal at someone like Stevenage tbh.

He definitely still has the skill for the division but he just isn’t fit enough. It kinda made sense when he was so overweight coming to us, but that hasn’t really improved in his time here and Barton is all about high energy closing down.

I saw on our forum recently that ‘we must remember hes 33, not 37’ - and that really summed it up for me.

Clarke is in excellent condition despite playing 10 games in the last 2 years, has played about 4 games for us and nearly got as many goals. If only we could keep him fit, he’d be some asset at this level, even at his age

A little over 24 hours for us to plug the gaping hole in our team.

This is the worst strike force I’ve ever seen at this club, and if we don’t act now to strengthen it, i don’t see how we stay up.

The owners would risk our league status just to save a few quid in the short term. If they do they 100% deserve relegation and all the abuse they’ll get for it.

Ta. Sounds like he has something about him, but I’d be worried if we’re basically taking a punt on a young player. We need someone who can come in and improve our first team but at least Nombe is likely to be back in time for the weekend which will help massively.

Millen suggested last night you'd had a number of knock-backs over the last week, surely you must be scratting round for players that were somewhat down the list now?
