Certainly don’t agree with how Wellens treated him and if he’d played we might have survived however he just wasn’t good enough certainly not a double figure goal scorer
Yeah I don't think there's enough in his game to be a L1 standard player but here and the NL he'd do a good job. Clubs just have to learn to stop banging it long to him as a lone forward and he is a 10/15 goal striker in this division.

Also, are Carlisle gonna be offering proper contracts now the holy one has signed up for three years?
I think so, but it’s more to do with Holdsworth not being at the club than Simpson signing a 3 year deal.

The contract offers should now be more in line with the real world rather than David Holdsworth’s fantasy world.

he can step up - he's better with a more experienced talker next to him though.
Will he settle as a player brought in for cover??
Right sided he would be competing with Gethin Jones who has been great in a three at the back.
Santos would guide him through.....Right age and Evatt knows him maybe a goer

What's gone wrong with Bogle?

I've seen him play four(?) times and every time he looked a monster at this level and yet here are two of his clubs fans offering away like he was really poor.

Casey
Started off pretty well when it looked like he could be bothered.
And like others said,he needs a strike partner, but his effort on the pitch lately has been zero.
For a big bloke,he gets knocked off the ball too easy.

If we lose him I'd much rather him go to Bolton, a step up, rather than losing someone to Stockport, yet again.

We’re being linked with left back Liam Gordon who’s been released by Bolton. Not heard of the lad but Bolton fans on Twitter seem to think it’s a decent signing at this level.

They also thought that everyone in their squad was the best player ever in League 2.

He’s okay, decent at National League by all accounts and did okay when called upon in L2. He’s a very likeable lad but seems to lack confidence in his own ability. Has the pace and dribbling ability to go past opponents but rarely does - he’s more inclined to pass it backwards.

Turns 23 in a few days time so still young and plenty of time to develop, but can’t see him ever turning into a starting quality L2 player. Okay as a backup/rotation option though.

sounds about right as we already have a starter at LB contracted for next season.

He's got all the physical attributes to be a modern day wing back/full back but tends to lack a bit of confidence when on the ball & his crossing is very inconsistent although he started to show more belief in himself nearer to the end of his spell with us. Mainly a left sided player but did well filling in for us at right back cutting inside when we had a lot of injuries albeit it was against teams like Doncaster/Crewe who were the struggling teams but he did very well. He started in our 5-2 win at Ipswich but against them stronger sides coming up against a rapid winger like a Wes Burns he did struggle a bit, the decent teams targeted his side & highlighted him as our weak link. I think he'd be very good option for anybody at L2 level as he's definetely learnt during his spell at us from when we first signed him & he's a rather unlucky to be let fo by us at the end of the day it just comes down to he needs to play more than he did here.

I'd like us to improve on Ridehalgh personally but it's not a priority position really.
Yeah someone with more pace would be ideal, obviously with quality on the ball as well. After ending 14th I don’t think any position in the team should be a guarantee for those already here. We aren’t talking about upgrading the likes of Wells, Jones, Davies and Meredith here!

Released Coventry defender Josh Pask, who was on loan at Newport, linked. Also rumours from the Newport end that we have enquired about taking Finn Azaz on loan, which I very much doubt will happen as he is surely League One bound.

I’d love us to get Azaz in on loan and we may have a small chance now we’re up, but he’ll have plenty of suitors.

Azaz is heading for the championship next season! he's too good for L1 and much too good for L2.

Re Armstrong to Walsall - I'm pretty sure when he played well against County Flynn said he had been interested.
