Putting aside Quigley’s injury issues and Challinor’s harsh treatment ahead of him towards the end of the season I think Wootton will fit our style more.

Despite his height Quigley doesn’t score many headed goals whereas that is one of Wootton’s strengths and we cross for England under DC.

Kyle’s better with his feet/chest than in the air, doesn’t seem like he should be with his height but he’s not great at getting on the end of crosses really, has a tendency to miss some real sitters with his head.

If he’s playing with someone who’s quick and has good movement in behind I think he could be a really good target man a level up.

I saw quite a few great headers when I watched his goal compilation. He’s definitely much stronger than Quigley in that regard.

As good as Paddy Madden is he hasn’t got pace and loves to come short so that’s why I’m really not convinced he’s a good pick up for us.

Oh, he can definitely score headers, but does miss a lot as well. I think I’d view him as a good signing as a forward but not a goalscorer - I think his goals record here is as much just because he plays upfront for a side that creates loads of chances as anything else and that may slow down a fair bit in a higher league, but his all-round game is good enough to be a useful player.

He would be a great signing and a real statement.

Im not sure if I would believe all the Youtube fella has to say though, he said in his last video we had made 8 signings & so far hes not predicted one! Still, its only some harmless fun throughout pre-season.

Someone mentioned Billy Waters as a possible for Barrow - we had him a couple of years ago and he was one of those loanees who start OK but soon lose interest.

scored 18 league goals last season under our now manager Pete Wild at Halifax in NL - only 1 less league goal than Kyle Wootton who most people think will do well if he ends up at Stockport

Norwood has been n Vegas for last few weeks, and going off his instagram story he only got back to London yesterday. So he definitely hasnt been viewing houses near Walsall.

Wouldn't he have someone to do that for him potentially?

So when he stuck a free kick into the top bin against us in the first game of the season it didn't impress you?
I wasn’t at that game but he’s a CB so talking more about his defending. After I’d made this comment there were some Daggers fans I think on the other forum who said he’s average apart from his set piece delivery.

Also, having watched it back right now the free-kick you talk of was nowhere near the top corner and it should have really been saved.

Archibald joins Orient on a permanent from ourselves!
If he can continue the good form he had with us last season we've got a decent player with us. 8 goals and 10 assists he got. Can play as a left forward or as a left wing back.

Wellens always said he wanted to keep most of this squad together, so get Tom James, Ruel Sotiriou and now Theo Archibald signed up is big news for us.

Adam Thompson has also signed a new 2 year deal with us, happy with that as he can play at RB or CB and Wellens got him playing well at the end of the season.

No rumours on who else we're targeting further at the moment, but it will likely be 2 central midfielders and possibly a striker.

Nixon's just put another cryptic (on his patreon) rumour - Carlisle to sign big Czech... I'm guessing that keeper that one of the other EFL2 teams released?

Hang on what’s Tomas Holy up to these days?

Liverpool have a Czech keeper who was on loan at Notts County last season called Jaros.

He played really well against us and there are rumours we’re interested in him.

Permenant deal for undisclosed fee, finally a signing with no links to Cardiff City, also i see he started his career with Tranmere.
Think he impressed in the team of kids we played at Maidstone before the NL play-offs, but then there were difficulties sorting out a contract and he left the end of next season, so hard to judge. He hasn’t had much game time at subsequent clubs.

Tomas Holy was on loan to us so we didn't release him Ipswich did. Absolute giant (6ft8in I think he was) and his kicks can literally clear the length of the pitch by a distance. Wasn't especially great though. Seemed prone to some bad errors and because of his size if someone can get a shot on to either corner of the goal he can't get down quick enough to save them.

I usually referred to him as “holy shit” as that’s how i reacted when a 6’8’keeper ends up shorter than Dave Worrall at 5’5 coming to get a corner which Colchester head over him from point blank into the net!

At one point he let in something like 80% of the shots he faced that were on target in his first 4 or 5 games. As mentioned any shot low he struggled to get down to.

He was an odd one. They weren’t always glaring keeper errors but ones you felt he could do better there.

Drysdale was on loan at Ross County last season and managed by Malky Mackay who Rowberry coached under briefly at Cardiff, so I'm guessing they have stayed in touch. We were also "linked" with other Ross players a couple of weeks ago but that has gone a bit quiet.
