Which basically means nobody knows where he’s going but it’s gonna be somewhere in League Two.

We’re after three CB’s but surprisingly haven’t been linked with him or any really.

Can only hope it’s true, would strengthen our spine and wouldn’t be arsed when the inevitable happens and Watt and Paudie leave.

yep - we've been linked to Maher and Tom Bradbury both who were at Halifax and also Kyle Ferguson who was at Alty. Northampton have been linked to at least 2 of them aswell - so it's link any avaiable centre half to every team season again.

Going to call it now, I think Wootton will be a FLOP

It's possible. I think he'll be a good option off the bench/rotation actually. We're only just getting started from what I've been told.

Out of contract Halifax player signs for Barrow in the biggest news of the summer.

Seems to know where the net is, which is an upgrade on our current crop already.
He started the season on fire in front of goal but from autumn onwards his record was decent but not amazing.

The problem he and Halifax had against us when they played us on the final day was we penned them in and they had no out ball whatsoever as he’s so tiny and lacks any kind of physical presence up against tall and burly CBs.

I’m guessing this happened to them often and that’s why they’re away record was so bad.

If he’s going to be your first choice striker and you’re going to be relying on him heavily I think he and the team might struggle but probably a decent signing as a squad option.

He’s already talking about his partnership with Paddy. The club have obviously told him they see him starting the season up top with Madden.

We probably sold him it. If he can oust a fully fit Quigley, he'll be one of the signings of the summer.

I doubt we told Ben Barclay he'd finish the season on loan at Yeovil Town. If he's not good enough, he won't get picked. From what I've been told our front two will be two from four, Madden/Norwood/Wooton/Quigley.

You have to earn your place here.

We’re not talking about where Wootton will finish the season in the pecking order but where he will start. Barclay came with the promise he would start the season in the team and he did we didn’t sign him and promise him a place and then sign someone else a few weeks later.

I don’t want Norwood he’s too similar to Paddy.

Tranmere have signed Reece McAlear from Norwich. A young exciting midfielder apparently.

Going off highlights and the thoughts of Inverness fans, he could be one to watch this lad. Very exciting like you say.

Stick your flag to the mast Lew.

What’s he have to do or not do to be considered a flop?
Depends what you want from him, if he’s a starter I think you’ll expect 15 minimum from him? I’m going for him scoring under 10 goals. I’m not on the wind up, just genuinely don’t rate him from what I’ve seen.

What happens if Madden gets injured?
I want another striker just someone with some pace. Norwood would cost a bomb in wages, want to start and not offer us anything different or be a an ideal partner for our current strikers.

He’s a good player and it would be a ‘marquee’ signing but he’s not a good fit for us.

I’m warm on him rather than hot.

I’ll never judge a targetman on just goals and Notts fans say his hold up play, passing and his defending from corners is all really good. I’d expect double figures goal wise as well so we’ll have to see.

I know it's very early days, but I've got a good feeling about the Orient next season.

We've managed to re-sign / retain all of our best players from last season, so we're looking solid in terms on continuity.

We also looked a good side under Wellens towards the end of last season - throw a full pre-season in there, more time to embed the philosophy with the same players, and it all looks pretty positive.

Not to mention we have the best right back in the league in Tom James, our back 5 is excellent for this level, and some very handy attacking options in Paul Smyth, Ruel Sotiriou, Aaron Drinan, etc.

By no means are we going to HMS the league, but I think we'll be eyeing up a top-7 finish, not ruling out top-3 either.

Not touching a single drop of Kool Aid until we sign at least one quality central midfielder. Absolutely no-one remotely good enough to play alongside Clay.
