I think Dom Telford was a one season wonder & understandably chasing the big pay cheque.

We were never in for him after Flynn has stated he don’t rate him.

Hartlepool are going to be tough to predict.

I’ve not heard of any of these signings and have nothing to go on. They could all be well above L2 level, or they could be like some of the signings from Scotland we’ve had in recent years.

I'm just happy we're not signing players with a Boro link tbh.

Hartlepools new manager determined to settle the age old debate about just how shit the SPL is.

Bit like top end NL vs League 2 with us.

Maybe Crawley aren't the guaranteed basket case we all thought.

Honestly think this lends weight to the opposite. Smacks of when we signed Darius Henderson on 7k a week in League One. Very much doubt this signing is remotely sustainable or sensible.

I already pissed off Hartlepool fans by making a comparison to Halifax earlier this summer but I think they could be struggling based on what they’ve signed so far.

Think they’ll probably do okay but I want what Raj is smoking if these players are representative of a top 7 budget.

Don’t really know much about him as an owner other than his name being mud in Darlington, presume you trust whatever he says about stuff as far as you can throw him?

It’s not tanking, it did go down along with the rest of the overvalued Crypto rubbish though.

It’s not strange at all, clearly been offered a ton of money so it makes all the sense in the world, you’ll have to try and dream of another striker for Vale now mate.

From a financial aspect, you can't really blame him for taking the money. I think anybody would. From a career based aspect it's a really strange move. Perhaps he doesn't back himself to play higher. I would have quite liked him at the vale as he looked like he had that nuisance factor but the fact that we haven't bunged down tons of money for him suggests that the management team think they can get better value elsewhere. They've got a very good success rate so far, so I trust them.

Bitcoin has gone from record highs right down to virtually its lowest point...I'd call that tanking. I have a mate who invested in it a number of years ago who had built up a huge pot of money, only to see masses of it wiped out in the past 4 months....into 6 figures wiped out. It's not just bitcoin either. With these Crawley owners, they'll have lost millions. It's not a stable, regulated currency. This is going to go tits up...mark my words.

Agree, but then again Cooper brought in plenty of unheard of Scots players & they were a resounding success.
I just wish we had signed at least a couple of lads who you’d know would be solid league two players.

I'd say the majority of the fan base like him more than loathe him, he saved us from being some AFC schmuck team when no one else would, let's see where we land August 1st when the window shuts, for me we still need at least 6-8 more players through the door.

generally anyone we’ve had from scotland has turned out to be astronomically wank.

Signing 6, Jake Hastie winger from Rangers, potential to be a great signing.

Likewise.

We’ve brought one in this summer so hopefully he’ll buck that trend.

I personally can't stand the guy but then I know people who worked under him and there's a real nasty c*** side to him. He believes everyone is expendable, he's quite unlikeable, a Tory donor and does talk a lot of poo. You just have to watch his interviews, absolutely crawling with arrogance. I would prefer a more down to earth owner but as said above he did buy us, its just when the shit hits the fan is the question for me.

He's a bit like the Mike Ashley of L2.

Few murmurs that we’ve beat Bradford to Odusina. Must have used all their wage budget on Richie Smallwood.

Doubt it myself, but left footed CB to replace/compete with Johnson is what we need. Definitely means Barclay is out of the club.

He probably wants to start games. We've got Crichlow and Platt, so he'd be backup here.
