Any flags of him you can burn?

I don't think burning effigies when a black player leaves is great optics.

Timi has come on leaps and bounds but compete with Johnson, Ryan Johnson? Fucking hell Timi is twice the defender he'll ever be :fl:

He's not left footed and isn't great on the ball either..

Can't see it as Challinor didn't seem to rate him but nothing would surprise me
Hopefully he’s seen the error of his ways.

I’m not at all convinced with Ryan Johnson at league level and would love to add Odusina’s pace to our backline.

Our fans wildly overate Johnson and seemingly so does DC. Top half NL defender at best.

His pace is his biggest asset, he can make a balls up in defence but has lightning quick pace to get back and rectify it himself.

He's certainly left and I think today proves it, we've signed two CB's and already have Neill Byrne here.

I was being polite to Johnson to be fair!

He looked good for the first half of his games but got found out pretty quickly towards the end, it is why we are desperate for a LCB as he’s basically the only left CB we have in the squad unless you want to count Kitching now he can’t play wingback after breaking his back!

Should probably read the post above that he isn’t left footed!

Hope Timi signs for yous, He,s a good lad.
Served us well but DC was reluctant to play him, should be interesting.
But don,t play him with Palmer.

He had limited opportunities at Vale but looked absolutely dreadful when he did play. Poor positionally, poor passer and capable of a huge ricket or two. Having said that, in his last appearance which I think was against Hartlepool he had a decent game.

Johnson was ok in a back 5,flat back four,an absolute liability.

I’m not too bothered about Timi.
He looks good because he’s fast & makes last minute challenges, but thats usually because he’s made a mistake.
His pace masks his overall poor defending & passing ability.
Byrne has been a much better defender.

Honestly think this lends weight to the opposite. Smacks of when we signed Darius Henderson on 7k a week in League One. Very much doubt this signing is remotely sustainable or sensible.
I know what you mean here.

Wagmi are saying that if their plans work they will not only have enough money to sustain this level but will have enough money for a dash at the championship!

There are people involved who are "allegedly" known as bumpers (not the ones up front though). Bumpers find ways to bump the value of a company they own then sell quick. I must state that there has not been any suggestion of dodgy dealing on anyones part and it is a perfectly legal business tactic if done within the law.

Like you when it happened with Orient there is not a lot the fans can do except to hope it works.

Stockport County.
I'd much rather this Horsfall than the Hartlepool defender. I think we need a bit more experience at the back and he's obviously got it being in a team of the year at a club who missed out on automatics by a whisker. The lad from Hartlepool sounds more of a potential, which is what I think we have with Joe Lewis from Torquay.

Few murmurs that we’ve beat Bradford to Odusina. Must have used all their wage budget on Richie Smallwood.

Doubt it myself, but left footed CB to replace/compete with Johnson is what we need. Definitely means Barclay is out of the club.
We signed a new CB at the start of the week and are up to 5 and we only play a back 4, think we’d moved on from him a few weeks ago probably because there would be a tribunal/development fee involved and we were stung terribly last time we had to go through that.

Same.

Had Odusina been left-footed then would have been happy to add both but as he’s not, Horsfall and a left footer with pace please.

Personally think Timi is class, yeah he has big mistakes in him but what defender doesn’t at this level. He’s only young, strong, fast, can read the game well, loves getting stuck in, and is only going to improve in the years to come.

Will be gutted if (when) he leaves, which everyone is expecting, even more so if he ends up at money bags Stockport who are handing out ‘dreams’.

Timi came on leaps and bounds under Graeme Lee and said he was enjoying playing under him. Timi has got virtually everything in his locker, he is a really good tackler, very fast, good in the air but it's the mental side that can let him down. Lacks a bit of concentration and can be sloppy on the ball. That said he hardly put a foot wrong when Lee was boss. He also allows you to push up and play a higher line which is something that might interest Challinor.

Yeah when we had him in the NL he was definitely one I had down as someone to upgrade if we went up. Don't think he's league standard.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Dennis hasn’t had 15-20 goals in him for 5 years

True but is that down to the player or clubs he played for.

We had Ian Stevens for a few years at Carlisle after he banged goals for fun at Shrewsbury, he was an excellent striker and frankly easily could have been a 20 goal plus a season striker but he didn’t get as many goals because he was in constantly absolutely rotten football sides and had to work on scraps most of the time…..the fans knew what he could do and never pressured him over it.

He was always dangerous, knew where to run and what to do just we spent so long on the back foot it never got to the levels for him.

I’d argue when he’s had the right set-up he can get 15-20 goals, he doesn’t without it, he still for Carlisle in games I seen caused problems but has to focus on so many other areas goals were not there.

If Simpson can ease that burden, get creativity about box for him it could work out better for him…….his past says there are goals in there he has reached 20 plus goals at 4-5 clubs it hasn’t been just a random one off.

Looks like we have Harvey Lintott on trial, young lad released by Gillingham. Im sure he will be one of many triallists, as all clubs tend to have at this time of year. Barely featured for you but any thoughts Gills fans?

That Telford signing is, well, just plain odd. He's evidently got the pick of league 2 and a handful of league 1 sides and he ends up going to Crawley Town, who have the appeal of walking shoeless through stinging nettles.

It's like giving a 10 year old child a £200 budget and saying - pick anything you like from this littlewoods catalogue. And them choosing a potato peeler.
