Danny Johnson is in Scotland for our training camp, I’m really surprised he’s not been signed by a fellow L2 side yet - maybe suggest we are after a fee.

Do Hartlepool have any decent right backs? We need one and we already have about 10 players who car share from the North East so relocating is no issue.

If that’s Cooke good luck to the lad, not a bad player just never had a chance once Walker came in of getting into the starting 11.
yep - announced as him now - i'm guessing that news isn't the news Seston was hinting at.

Only partly we do need a right back and have about 10 players from the North East we’ll have to hire a coach if we get anymore. Alex Gilliead can drive it, it’ll be the most product he delivers all season.
You’ll need a good chunk of Dosh to get ours.

Described as an attacking midfielder but seen on his Wiki he doesn’t get many goals, what sort of player should we expect?

Callum Cooke signed for Hartlepool. Good signing that, Pools.

Assists his fair share, but really needs to find his shooting boots. If he does, he could very quickly become a real asset for you. For me, that’s the only thing missing from his game at this level.

He was on a bit £££ here. So I’m guessing Hartlepool are the new Northampton then, yeah?

Great signing for Hartlepool. Cooke is a very technically gifted footballer who can play any role in central midfield and creativity wise is excellent. Only downside to his game is his shooting is terrible and that's when he opts to shoot rather than pass, which isn't often enough for some of the positions he finds himself in.

I’m a massive fan of Cooke and Hartlepool fans should be over the moon with signing him. Number one he keeps the ball, he keeps you in possession, he can spot a pass, he’ll drop and link (fairly certain he assisted Foulds’ goal last March) and on that he will get assists. No he doesn’t score enough but he retains possession in that final third which is vital for anyone. I’ve already said I was gutted it didn’t work out here but both Adams and Hughes left him out last season so I understood the reason for him going but for me he’s a top 7 or so player easily.

Yeah he’s an attacking mid who doesn’t score enough but chips in with a good amount of assists as long as your attackers aren’t donkeys and retains the ball well, not very quick though so think he’s better in a possession based team than counter attacking.

Cooke would have had a ridiculous amount of assists, but unfortunately he had Theo Robinson in front of him for some of the season. Will absolutely run himself into the ground too - gives everything in every game. I think his release is the only thing I've disagreed with Hughes on. I'd have kept him but perhaps his wages didn't match the squad role he'd be taking up this coming season. And as mentioned above, we have Walker there who's pretty much better in every aspect.

Think he will be Hartlepool's best signing and fully expect him to be near the top of the assist table.

We have signed Ross Doohan from Celtic on a two year contract, with an option of a third year. Pleased with that as I thought he looked promising when on loan last season.

Hopefully the Patrick rumour is true.

Well we currently only have Marcus Carver signed on who’s an out and out striker. So wouldn’t expect too many assists just yet haha
