Brendan Kiernan has signed for Grimsby on loan from us until the new year.

He’s a very average league two player & a great bloke to have in your squad. He just don’t fit the system Flynn wants to play.

He’s also a great bloke in the community, he’s done a lot for mental health charities around the area.

Here’s a nice little article from the BBC.

I wish him all the best.

That will sit really really well with our owners, and player character seems to be a key criterion in our recruitment strategy.

Nah, We were in talks with Hartlypaul for weeks.
He turned us down until we went back with an improved offer.
He was at our last game of the season (home) thats how long it was going on for.
My man in the know has just text to say we're in talks with someone who'll be a 'marquee' signing if we get it over the line.
Will announced with the unveiling of the new away shirt/open event, at the weekend.
No name unfortunately.

Suggestions we are back in for now in for Tyler Magloire, not sure if its a loan or permanent. He did ok here but we have quite a bit of defensive cover already so not really sure hes needed. If we are going to play 3 CB's then I guess we need 5 in the squad.

But we have 3 other young CB's already. Would rather us go for a more experienced option tbh. Still, hopefully he can build on his decent enough time here last season.

There are some rumours that Wrexham are trying to chuck a lot of money to get Guthrie, which would be pretty upsetting to lose all of the big three defensive components from last year, especially two of them to teams around and below us.

Yes,I'm prepared to be underwhelmed.
Actually, what was Harris like for Barrow.
started a couple of games in January then Amari-Hollowaty came in on loan and hardly got any time after that. Then got covid or some other illness that put him out for ages. Looked like in time he could be a good player as physically he was much stronger than the other loanee we had at the time - Jacob Wakeling who Swindon have signed. Maybe not ready for the EFL yet - a season in the NL would do him more good if he wasn't going to be a starter. So I'd say he has potential.

Think BBR Have taken up his 1 YR extension so could be a fee involved.

Been told that We are trying to tie down loan deals for QPR striker Charlie Kelman and West Ham youth player Jamal Baptiste.

Kelman will cover for injured duo Harry Smith and Aaron Drinan and with Dan Happe slowly getting his fitness up Baptiste will cover at centre half.

Baptiste was a triallist for us in our first pre-season game I think.

We had Kerman last season for a while.
A lot of our fans weren’t very keen but I liked him.
Doesn’t seem a natural finisher but works very hard and is obviously still learning.
I would have him back.

Agree with that ^, I'd have Kelman back as a forward option without a doubt. Don't think he's extraordinary by any means, but he regularly bust a gut for us when others perhaps didn't in the latter half of last season.

Been told that we are waiting patiently for every League 2 club to complete their business so we can then hoover up some of the players that no other club wants.

Hopefully we find a couple of gems.

You can understand why though - did you see our play-off semi at the Racecourse (4-5), our set piece defending was slightly less slapstick than theirs? They also somehow managed to concede 5 at home to last season's basket case team, Dover, although they won that 6-5 with an injury-time winner...

Crawley sign free agent Brandon Mason. Left sided full back / midfielder. Looked good in a friendly v QPR but didn't play at all last season at MK Don's and only 36 appearances for Coventry over three seasons previously.
