Not the greatest vote of confidence for Danny Johnson, just a six month loan.

He was never going to make it here, but he could make it a club like walsall, wish him all the best.

I imagine he could score quite a few goals.

Suggestion we have signed Brighton youth team captain Marc Leonard on loan. Hes highly rated of course. Played against us in the papa johns last season but as no one watches that no idea how he got on.

Also a suggestion that Carney Chukwuemeka could leave Villa to go to either Barcelona or AC Milan. Apparently due to EPPP we would get 20% of any fee if he gets sold abroad before the age of 23 (could be a few mill for us). So massively hoping they pay up now instead of trying to get him for a tribunal fee next season.
A player we were linked with last week. Seems like he’s highly thought of at BHA.

We’ll sign someone one day!

I hope you all take at least 1000 away to Doncaster, to pay for their players they're bringing in.
We can afford and without our owner putting his hand in his pocket, worry about your own sorry ass club as you know feck all about mine

Betsy has said he wants to get the signing of Giovanni McGregor over the line. He scored yesterday v Aldershot.

To be honest I know very little about him except he played for Dulwich Hamlet and Crystal Palace u23.

Versatile player, can play anywhere centrally in midfield, be it holding or attacking. Can also do box-to-box reasonably well too. Good on the ball but personally I feel goes missing when his side are losing. He isn't the man to drag a side to a gutsy victory, but will probably look fantastic when you're 3-0 up with 10 minutes left.

Striker Aaron Drinan has signed a one year extension to his contract with us:

On paper last summer I thought he was a terrible signing, but he's had a run of games here and got 16 goals in all comps last season.

Still has to improve his game in certai areas, but he leads the line well.

We've also apparently finally signing a striker, just waiting to find out if it is Charlie Kelman from QPR.

Been told that Charlie Kelman has signed for us on loan from QPR - not sure how long. Will likely be announced Wednesday onwards.

Weird one, I presume it’s a hope he does well and try and get more money for him in January, but he would only have 6 months left on his contract then unless we have a optional extension.

Clough said there is a view to make it permanent in his post match interview on Saturday.

Looks like Sam Minihan and Elliott Newby could be on their way this week.

Joe Kizzi from Sutton is someone we’re interested in to bolster the ranks on the right side of defence.

I always thought Kizzi was a decent player in the National League days, even when he was apart of the Bromley Thugs XI

Our new technical director was talking on a phone in on BBC Wiltshire last night. A few interesting things noted.

* our budget last season was second lowest in the division
* our budget this season is upper mid table
* once our internal debt has been paid off we will be looking to increase the budget - debt was reduced from circa 4.5 million to 1.5 last season.
* his teams to watch this season are Salford, Mansfield, Crawley, Northampton, Bradford and Stockport
* We had agreed terms with Sol Bamba to become player coach but family issues in Portugal meant that couldn't happen.
* we were incredibly close to signing Will Grigg and a mystery midfielder (not sure why he would mention Grigg by name and not the other player) both who joined a league 1 club.
One thing I don’t get when people come out with stuff like this is how do they know what every other clubs budget is, to then state where theirs is in comparison?

I believe that it's common knowledge between each of the club owners? I suspect they have to announce it somewhere, but it's a good question and certainly not one that I know the answer to.

Whilst I'm in this thread - few murmurings about interest in Harry McKirdy from clubs - Pompey and Charlton. (inevitably as his best mate Jack Payne has gone there)

Obviously a total headwreck of a man but can't complain at 25 goals last season although his penalty taking requires work! The problem would be replacing him so close to the start of the season. Out of contract at the end of the season so suspect we won't get a huge fee up front, but is likely to be heavily based around future performance.

I’m pretty sure clubs get a table only revealing their own position budget wise - used to be the case I believe anyway? (Not 100% sure)

Yeah that’s my understanding too, the clubs aren’t named, just a list of divisional budgets and where your own sits.

Yeah didn’t know much about him but doing my research this morning I like that we’re being linked.

Strong, athletic, versatile, decent on the ball and a goal scoring threat from set pieces.

Question is can we agree a fee with Sutton and persuade him to come here and fight for a place rather than be a guaranteed starter.

And of course leaving a proven squad.

I very much doubt you could agree a fee. He’s on contract for a while, and an integral part of plans.

With the players who’ve left us who we didn’t release it was because they didn’t want to renew their contract due to an offer from a higher level club (Bouzanis to Reading), personal circumstances (Bennett to Barrow) or a half decent offer from a club in a higher division (Ajiboye to Peterborough). So unless Stockport are extremely happy to open their cheque book it doesn’t look likely to me.

We’ve not spent anything on fees this summer but I’m sure we’d be willing to as he’s our first choice target in that area apparently.

How much would it take?

Bennett's out for injured for 8-10 weeks now too.

I was surprised he signed a new deal when he was scoring goals. Maybe you took him out on the mother of all lashes with a new contract in hand...

Your players are going down like flies & a ball hasn’t been kicked yet.
I hope we don't get any injuries tonight against the Mackems, they stuck the boot into the Roma players at the weekend.

I suspect that Harry was grateful that Swindon gave him a chance, (although in an interview about signing for Swindon he did say it was more the fact that we were in a terrible state and desperate for players rather than him being particularly in demand!) and probably felt he owed it to the club to sign a new deal. Unfortunately it was only a year extension and if he hits the ground running this season will probably be off elsewhere. It's still quite a risk for a team to sign him given last season was the best and only very good season of his career.

I think we only have 2 injured now - Rooney, Brown and Brough are back, Foley got a knock Tuesday, but played Saturday - so it's only Bennet and Solomon Nwabuokei (about 2 weeks from being fit) who are out.

Charlie Kelman now confirmed on a season long loan.

Typical that he is banned for Saturday - A game we really needed a striker for due to injuries FFS

A significant amount. That’s factoring in if we’d want to sell let alone to a team in the same division
