Our squad isn't that big tbh, people count certain players just to prove a point. The 3 young lads aren't first team players, Wroe/Hayhurst/Daniels are all as good as dead to us and Edwards/Pilkington are coaching staff given squad numbers cod they're going to play for the reserves when needed. We were never going to have a 23 man squad and run a reserve side.

Our actual squad is 29 big I think. That's including McKenzie who has got a long-term injury and I expect completely out of the picture anyway, Murray who is still recovering...and a bunch of players who are clearly only here for us to have a look at whilst they play in the reserve side for a bit like Valencic, Atkinson, Campbell etc...

I don't think there's anything we've done too wrong, there's a couple of layers that seem like bizarre signings now like Scot Bennett but
For everyone else there's clearly a plan and only 13 players are contracted beyond next summer of

Also worth remembering we aren't doing loans this season. I'd imagine once you factor them in, half the clubs in L1/L2 use about 40 players a season, whereas our 29 might last us the entire season.

Very surprised Ryan has got a league club, I wouldn't even have him in our team.

We've decided not to offer Calvin Zola anything after his trial period.

Mustapha Tiryaki and Olly Lee both remain at the club for the time being, Still said he'd wait and see with both. He also said he wasn't actively looking to add to the squad a couple of seconds later, so I'm not sure what that means. The Lee one sounds like we are keeping him fit and in the shop window as a favour as much as anything.
