Noticed JMD has gone to Yeovil. That's another EFL spell that hasn't worked out for him and I'm assuming it's for the same reasons it hasn't gone to plan anywhere else.
Always quite liked JMD here but in my opinion league 2 is his top level. He got up and down the line for us and took a decent dead ball but there are plenty just as good if not better.

Highest playing level for a person from Crawley I believe which is shocking.

Well Curle has said we're not signing Hallam Hope and he had no intention of it. That's good in a way but begs the question what he was doing at Oldham v Torquay. If that's the market we're in then God help us

He could have been watching the Torquay centre forward who was on loan with us from Stoke last season.
6 Goals in 22 games for 3rd bottom Torquay, scraping the barrel as usual.

Our usually unreliable forum transfer experts reckon we could be in for Stockport's Elliott Newby given he's been brought back from loan with a view to a permanent sale.

Speculation but it seems we may be in for a clear out of the never plays in January...if we can find someone to take them. Some of them are just not up to standard as shown by the times we've been unable to fill the bench and they still don't get a look in.
Knowing us, we will get Smith from Orient and not be able to play him. Previously did this with Dean Cox.

Obviously Wild will know him from the loan spell at Halifax last season; Newby also did a fine job coming into our side at the end of last season and helping see us over the finish line, playing at RWB after Southam-Hales got injured. He's primarily a winger though and that's where he been instrumental for Altrincham over the past month or so, mate of mine is an Alty fan and says their season has been completely turned around and Newby was involved in almost every goal they've scored. Clearly they're gutted at this recall

Stockport County.
Be a good move for Newby. He doesn't really fit our system but I liked him. Some similarities to Whitfield tbf, maybe not as high a ceiling as him final ball wise but I'd like him to prove me wrong. I think he'll do well there under that bottling Yonner Wild.

I notice in response to that he does the classic Keith Curle thing of asking himself a question then answering it.

Another ex Pools player,Brad Walker, linked with us.
Just confirm our relegation now please.

Could possibly see us letting him go, barely been seen since Derby away. Don’t know what he was like at Hartlepool before but he’s a pretty good player now though more in a midfield three so he doesn’t have to run much. The other one who may end up leaving presumably to L2 is Charsley as he can’t get a look in.

Brad Walker is the epitome of wasted talent, was too interested in being a footballer off the field than on it, the last thing we need in this team is another lazy bastard.

Yeah we need runners in there not Billy big knacker wasters like him

There's more legs on fish than the three we have in that midfield

Charlie Austin has apparently had some lucrative short term offers but I'm led to believe we will be signing him on an 18 month contract when the window swings open. Hopefully be a fillip needed for the second half of the season.

Sandro didn’t sound like he was on the radar - but who knows when it comes to transfer shenanigans. Does this mean Jephcott’s loan will be terminated.

Mikey O'Neill has a loan arranged according to Ryan Lowe. Supposedly he was close to joining Grimsby in the summer but we pulled the plug, so I imagine it will be with a club in this league.

Anyone in the market for an attacking midfielder?

I'm led to believe it won't. Not sure how Wakeling, Austin and Jephcott will work together but we'll see in the new year maybe!

Why? He has been decent for us and a big part of our promotion side last season, wins tackles, great range of passing. Use him as a midfielder and he will improve you.

Cos he's a bone idle wastrel, plays like both his legs are in a cast, he'd make our pedestrian midfield geriatric.

Not from what we have seen so maybe he has matured since leaving Hartlepool? Put it this way we were cruising to automatic promotion, 7 wins and a draw in 8 after beating you guys good Friday... but he got injured in that game... we then lost 4 in the next 5 before getting our shit together from the play off 2nd leg. Had he not got injured we'd have probably gone straight up.
