Two League 2 clubs have had bids accepted for Olaofe at Millwall. Rumours he was at our game yesterday. We wanted him in the summer but Millwall couldn't get a replacement in time.

He was good for Sutton in the NL, I remember him. How did he get on last season in L2? I know there's a couple of Sutton posters on here. Can't remember their names to tag them.

I’m praying to God, Zeus and Craig Dundas that Tanto is coming home. He’s mates with most of our squad and he’s a London lad.

Injuries hampered him last season but despite injuries, joining us late and us being a general strikers graveyard he still scored 8 which put him as our joint top scorer.

Wherever he goes he should be decent at this level

Millwall have apparently accepted two bids for a permanant deal from two League 2 sides. I think it's us and Gillingham so if you can match the fee, you could get him. Don't know how much.

Gillingham would allow him to stay South but if it was based purely on football, he'd come here. Heavily rumoured he was at our game yesterday.

Yeah, one of several rumours we’ve heard doing the rounds today, I think he knows Harris and they have the Millwall link, so could just be balls of course.

Keeper from Palace and that Nichols guy from Crawley are the other two names. Keeper on loan, fees for the others.

This is a local journalist at our end that knows his stuff.

I’ve been told that two League 2 clubs have made offers for Ryan Bowman and I can’t see us rejecting it in all honesty. He wasn’t too bad last year but this year for whatever reason, he’s just not up to League 1 standard. Will definitely be a very good striker down here though.

Any clubs willing to pay a nominal fee on a striker?
Us if we lose DJ.

Adding JK’s comment yesterday to that tweet from Sam it’s basically a deal done but we can’t say yet is the vibe.
I was told yesterday we had one ready to basically announce on January 1st. If Olaofe is at the game yesterday, you'd imagine him.

But maybe Gillingham are a late bidder, they were only taken over the other day.

We could do with a striker since Edmondson could miss most of the season. Bowman is a local lad who came through our youth system and Simmo will know him from his first spell in charge. Doubt we'll afford him if it comes to that but he may be on our radar if he's available. We'd probably only be realistic contenders if it were a loan.

Worrall is a class act and would be gutted to see him go, he’s been decent enough at league one level despite playing RWB when he’s really a winger and obviously a key part last season in our promotion including a couple of great deliveries for two of our goals in the final.

He’s been with us through the dark times and if he leaves he goes with my best wishes, he’s from Manchester and if the club are looking at Knoyle i guess from the perspective of age it makes sense.

Stockport seem to be linked or signing someone of us most windows though, such as the barmy Smith rumours in the summer!

Stockport dropping the P's once again. Always get their business done early this lot, an agent's wet dream.

Meanwhile in Gillingham we’ve cottoned on and are about to start selling dreams…

He'll have played against DC in the season you and Sutton went up (year before last) so I presume DC will have his views.

I disagree he'll disrupt any rhythm. We've only got Madden and Wootton as strikers and we play both up there, we need more depth and competition. I think we need pace up there and from what I remember Olaofe certainly has that.
Reminds me a Lge2 Stirling, Stop start type.
A good defender should really be able to sus him out.

Good player at this level. Has had his injury issues, will watch his development with interest. Good pace, eye for goal but could probably be a touch more clinical. Decent age to get in. No way we’ll be paying the required cash unfortunately.

When you’ve got a few gaping holes in your squad, a DOF and the window is shut for four months I’d be annoyed if we didn’t have things in the pipeline when it opened again.

No idea where its come from but someone on our forum seems to think we want Sterry from you Flynn has already said he wants another wing back know nothing about him is that his position? Ignore that he plays for Hartlepool getting mixed up.

Highly doubt that's on the cards. He's very much a northern lad and has MH issues which keep him close to his roots. He's recently stated he loves playing here but he is out of contract in June. With Singh at the helm you never know but I doubt he'd be looking at Walsall to be honest, if he's open to a move

On Menayese, do you think you lot might recall him in Jan? Would love him to sign permanent here.

Olaofe is a player who's caused us problems in the past. If I had an aging slow attack like Stockport do and some cash to fling about I'd definitely be looking to get him in.

I would be astounded if Sterry were to leave in January, that’s how unlikely I think his departure would be at this moment in time, he loves being back in the North East, a more likely departure for him would be in the summer but I could be way off.

He’s into the last six months of his contract, to be fair I don’t believe we’ve seen the best of him, great going forward but dog shite at defending. Pretty much marmite amongst the fan base

Sounds like most modern full backs at this level.

And in general probably!

Look at the praise and criticism someone like Alexander Arnold gets at Liverpool .

Do think they are told/taught to be attack minded first then worry about defending later .

No chance.
He knocked back Notts Co,as he didn’t want to live so far away from the North East,so Walsall is a non starter.
If he did leave Pools,he’d probably sign for Darlo to stay up here.

There was Sunderland interest too before he signed on again for us, maybe a leap too far now they're pushing for the Championship playoffs.

Is anyone surprised? There can't of been many, if any, who thought these WAGMI chumps were in it for Crawley's best interests.
