Highly doubt that's on the cards. He's very much a northern lad and has MH issues which keep him close to his roots. He's recently stated he loves playing here but he is out of contract in June. With Singh at the helm you never know but I doubt he'd be looking at Walsall to be honest, if he's open to a move

On Menayese, do you think you lot might recall him in Jan? Would love him to sign permanent here.

Curle said there's no recall clause and he's here till the end of the season.

Forgive my ignorance, are these Crawley mob the same people who previously tried to buy another club? Was it Bradford maybe?

Lucky escape if so.

North East lad & the type of player Curle goes for, wonder if one is Pools & nominal is our middle name.
Geography obviously isn’t your strong point. He’s Carlisle born and bred. Don’t think he’d want to go to a team fighting for relegation but you never know. Not sure we’d be willing to pay a fee but would be ideal on loan.

Feel sorry for Crawley fans, clubs being run like a pantomime from the start of the takeover. Be lucky to survive.

Olaofe being offered big money by Gillingham. They are going for it. Be very surprised if they go down now.

I guess you don't buy the EFL's bottom club unless you're prepapred to do what it takes to keep them up.

Scoring goals is their only real issue; they've conceded fewer than Mansfield have, like HG was saying it's a simpler problem to fix than conceding too many would be. That said, looking at xG, they don't create many chances so whoever they sign has to offer more than just finishing and 6 goals at this stage of the season isn't an ordinary attacking problem, it's ridiculous, so if they don't manage to fix that then they're goners.

Clough has admitted we need a CB praise baby Jesus, 3 in potentially for us, it’s a very important window for us if we want to have a pop at 3rd place.

Few concerns over Lapslie going, currently in contract negotiations but current contract ends in the summer.

Can you bottom 4 or 6 types not spend any more money in January please. It's anti competition. Ta.

Think they might need a change of manager as well.

I don't know much about this Nicholls fella apart from just reading his wiki. Not a prolific scorer.

Cheers probably nothing in it then and yes we would listen to offers for Rollin Flynn doesnt seem to rate him at all.

Strange that, you must be well stocked for CBs then. He's not perfect, has the odd rick in him but pretty much got everything you need in a lower league centre half. Seems to enjoy it up here. We are much better when he's in the side.

As said. Tom Nichols to Gills.

He is a 1 in 4 or 5 striker but he can open up defences if you have a striker who can put them away. About second in assists in the league this season until he was dropped. That for a team that is struggling.

He rarely gets given fouls. It will get very annoying after a while.

He will also put the team before himself. Often playing in midfield when we are short and said to be a good influence around the dressing room.

Makes you wonder why we sold him.

There are a few speculations (or made up musings) on who we will get to replace him. I'm used to this. Whoever it is he will be trumpeted as the best thing since sliced bread and in reality will be a stale slice with a scrape of marge.

Our DOF who has effectively been in hiding since arriving except for making terrible decisions, needs to come out and explain the reasons behind this. If we had sold him to a league 1 club or even somewhere that was closer to his roots in the West Country it would make some sense.
From the reaction of other players on social media and from Tom himself since he was frozen out the squad, I don’t think he had any plans of leaving.
These owners need to fuck off, before we know it we’ll be in the Isthmian League.

You got lucky he was a 1 in 23 striker for us, albeit in L1

A Gills fan on Twitter reckons they are paying 200k fee and 5k a week. Crazy money for a guy who scored eight goals in this division last season and can’t get anywhere near the Millwall team.

They're not helped by having Mandron up front. He's a decent enough footballer and he really puts himself about, but he's never anywhere near the penalty area when you'd need him to be. It was the same when he played for us, but thankfully we had Szmodics who would always be running beyond him.

Yes they are mate.

They rocked up on local forums claiming they had more or less bought us, posted some interviews and did an online Q&A session with fans.

Our current owner was livid as there was nothing in it and threatened legal action before sending them packing before rocking up at poor Crawley.

Crazy guys who didn't do their homework and thought we owned Valley Parade.

Our owner hasn't been the best for us, but we dodged a bullet with these geeks

We had him up top on his own against you, I don’t think he made it in to your penalty area a single time.

Pleased with the Nichols signing, sounds like we’ve been after him for a couple of weeks. We do need someone to play off him though, maybe that’s Olaofe. We shall see.

According to our new chairman we are in for a handful of players and trying to get it done as quickly as possible.

Our owner has had a sit down with some fans tonight and apparently there is 2 or 3 signings already sorted for 1st Jan, with a handful of players on their way out as well, I imagine most the Scottish contingent

Wasn't the rumour your paying Wooton 5k a week?

Has he been up there alone much this season? Would go some way to explaining the record of six goals scored...
