If Croasdale picks up an injury then who’s our holding midfielder?

You can’t move Wright or Collar out of their positions they are excelling in and the Camps experiment didn’t really work.
Apologies Just read above he’s box to box so god knows. I’d suggest that’s the last thing we need.

We've signed Irish centre half Ciaran Kelly from Bohemians on a 2.5 year deal.

6'3 so should be good aerially which is our defence's biggest weakness.

Would imagine that means either Critchlow is being recalled or one of Odusina or Songo'o is leaving but I'd prefer to keep them all.

According to Oldham fans we're in for Hallam Hope. Buckets and bargain immediately spring to mind.

Defensive mid? Would he be happy moving somewhere as backup, because there's no chance of replacing Croasdale yet

Moxon is the best midfielder in L2 and he will cost you a whopping £10,000.
That will be enough to keep our club afloat for another season.

We’ve signed Josh Harrop ex of United and PNE on a short team deal after he’d been training with us for a few weeks. Played 95 times for PNE but left at the end of last season, and has had a few injury problems. Definitely a good signing on paper but needs to stay fit.

KC usually takes this player, As highlighted by Carlisle fans a few weeks ago.

Curle was at the game Sunday, would be a very mediocre signing for me, upgrade on what we currently have which really isn’t saying much.

Guy has no interest in football, actually thought he might retire. I expect his career to go the same way as Marcus Maddison. Fitness wasn't really an issue bar one lengthy ligament injury.

Instead of signing mediocre forwards who don't score we might as well just play Joe Grey who I reckon could be decent foil for Umerah. If not why aren't we loaning him out to NL or NLN for regular games. Bizarre handling of a good prospect for me.

Said it at the start of the season, needs be out on loan, Spenny, Blyth, Shields, give him a proper full season, 20 mins off the bench is no good here.

I thought so as well, you give the lad a 3 year deal then let him rot without at least a reserve team. Another in a long line of poor decisions by the 'stakeholders' of the club.

No need to loan him out,he should be in the first team more regularly.
He's shown more than once,if you give him a run in the team,he'll get goals.

I think Grey is a great prospect, but the kid has two goals to his name and looking at his stats he's played a lot more minutes than I thought he had.

I'm expecting some movement in our squad next month, here's the low down:

Harry Smith - Contract up at the end of the season, cut short his loan spell at Exeter due to homesickness and not been able to play since. Has his uses, but doesn't fit Wellens style of play as he doesn't have pace and workrate of Charlie Kelman, Ruel Sotiriou and Aaron Drinan. He will almost certainly be moved on - Gillingham a very likely destination as he lives in Kent.

Conor Wood - Not featured all season with Wellens bringing in Rob Hunt instead who is a far better and more reliable player. Wood apparently sitting on a decent contract too which is why he's not moved anywhere despite being surplus to requirements all season, out of contract at the end of the season to so will be interesting to see if he moves on or his happy to sit around and pick up his money and not play at all for a whole season.

Jayden Wareham - Youngster on loan from Chelsea, Striker. Not consistently featured, but had the odd start and cameo off the bench. Scored twice in PJT. Will likely go back to Chelsea and end up somewhere else in this league.

Anthony Georgiou - Signed on a year long contract, a very low risk signing but injuries have hampered his playing time. Went on loan to Yeovil and played a few games but has now come back. Can see him being moved on.

Ethan Coleman - On loan at Bromley and likely to stay there tbh.

Idris El Mizouni - On a season long loan from Ipswich, a few noises suggesting Ipswich at looking to recall him to help ease their midfield injuries. Could happen, but would certainly hamper his progress, as he will likely play every game here as opposed to a being a bit part at Ipswich. On a long term deal at Ipswich too, I think they'd be better off letting him stay here.

I think we might bring in a striker and maybe another midfielder if we do sign any players.

Rumour has it we still want Smith here done deal last time until Exeter came in late.

If Harry Smith has played for Exeter and Orient this season will he be able to play for another team?

I'm not a great follower of the regs but something about only two clubs a season rings a bell.

Casey

It might be two clubs during a transfer window

I think its calender year rather than season! So of course come Jan he can then move elsewhere.

Strange because Harris said he had agreed terms here until Exeter came in at the 11th hour.
Who knows?

Being a betting man, I think he will move to Gills - regardless of them being bottom of the league. He's struggled being away from London/Kent without his family a few times now and even cut short half a season loan with Exeter in the League above just so he could come back and live at home. No coincidence he had the best scoring run of his career last season when he was playing regularly and living with his family too.

But, we shall see in a few weeks. I've heard nothing so far, but I think he will be moved on.

Definitely per season not calendar year. We had a similar situation a couple of years ago with both Doyle and Jerry Yates.

We've signed Phil Bardsley, apparently.

Him and Dale Stephens been training with us for a few months now after being released by Burnley. Stephens always just to re-gain fitness but Bardsley has been on the cards for a bit to come in and play.

Imagine Bardsley has probably made his money and just wants to get out of the house whilst his wife is filming on Housewives of Cheshire. And now he has probably decided he wants to get out of the house most Saturday's too.

2 clubs in 1 season. Simple as that.
Not quite I don't think, I believe it's two Clubs in professional leagues i.e. PL to to NL. He could in theory play at NLN/NLS level and below.

Sorry. I haven’t read the entire thread on this. I presumed Harry Smith had played for both Orient and Exeter already this season. I have no idea how the rule affects non league players.

Rumours, based on not much, that Charlie Austin is returning after terminating his contract early with Brisbane Roar.

Lindsey would soon change him from a goal scorer to a non scorer who can make lots of simple, non threatening passes.
Bugger me! Being suggested this is actually a done deal for January.

Believe it when I see it!
