Reporters asked afterwards and Matt Etherington replied he is fine and has been brilliant since I arrived but the decision was "taken out of my hands".

Either he has said something against the owners or he is being sold....or both.

Apparently we've made an enquiry to Lincoln about Tom Hopper and additionally a bit of an ITK Town fan on The Fishy reckons Scott Pollock at Boston is on our radar.

I had exactly the same thought so Googled him and was amazed to discover he is 28 years old. I'd advise not Googling him as it appears that he was actually 23 when he was at Harrogate and looked about 42 years old and it's all just a bit of a headfuck trying to make head nor tail of it.

I don't think we'll offer him a new deal in the summer, perhaps a reduced deal, but I'd be a little surprised if we sold him in January unless it's a decent offer. Well, not just a decent offer but we need to replace him - we only have two senior strikers in the squad and he's one of them so unless we sign two, I don't think we'd let him go tbh.

He's the last of the pre-Covid contracts as well so I'm guessing it'll be a decent wage he's on and for that wage, we'd need a bit more availability from, too. After being an ever-present two seasons ago and fit as a fiddle, he's reverted to picking up injuries again in the last two seasons (admittedly picking up a stress fracture of the shin in a tackle can't be helped).

We’ve tried him at right back when our on loan not very good one got sent off, he actually had his best game for us there. I don’t think we’ve tried him up front as such but if we have I definitely didn’t notice, so that should tell you something

Far better player than Tom Denton. Looks ancient, but only 28. I couldn't believe that either. If you've had Theo Robinson up front this season, I wouldn't scoff at Beck to be honest. In reality, I'm sure Curle was looking at Dodds. Right Back on loan from Boro. Too good for our level, but whether a relegation battle in a crap team is what he needs at this stage in his development is debatable.

One of them being Armstrong,as Harrogate are in the shit financially.
Hopefully it'll be Tumilty,Murray (without doubt one of the worst CB's we've had)Paterson & Hamilton.
