Rumours, based on not much, that Charlie Austin is returning after terminating his contract early with Brisbane Roar.

Lindsey would soon change him from a goal scorer to a non scorer who can make lots of simple, non threatening passes.

I have been told 4 will be leaving, club & players have come to an agreement to terminate contracts, with 7 players coming in.
One of them being Armstrong,as Harrogate are in the shit financially.
Hopefully it'll be Tumilty,Murray (without doubt one of the worst CB's we've had)Paterson & Hamilton.
Ridsdale was at the match Saturday.
When we played Harrogate last season -- Armstrong was the worst player I have ever seen. Looked like a sunday morning player. Overweight and unable to run.

Not that I have any reason to doubt you with your record but if we sign Armstrong I think I'd be fully erect for the rest of the year.
I know the Harrogate chairman is starting to moan about how much money he’s losing,so could be some truth in it.
I’d be surprised if it did come of though.

Loanee centre-back Duncan Idehen has returned to Bristol City

It was quickly clear we had no real need for him. He's a young academy defender and signed before we signed Paul Huntington, and though we have had some injury issues, we're well enough stocked on defenders that we've not had to resort to him.

Dale have signed Tommy Lloyd (free agent after leaving Gills).

Signed for a month - if he proves his fitness/ability he will presumably be offered an extension.

Bristol City Manager Nigel Pearson has confirmed that Ryley Towler won't be recalled in January. Pleased with that, he's been really good for most matches.

Danny Lloyd was excellent for us at NLN level, you'd have to ask the Gills or Tranmere lot in here how he's done as a League play though. Can only presume it's injury that has kept him without a club until now

Oops.

Tommy L seemed to get a few goals for County, albeit at a lower level.

Hope he can do the same for us. We're short in midfield - Diagouraga is good but fairly immobile, Liam Kelly is decent but lightweight (and doesn't have the ingrained nastiness of the equally vertically-challenged David Perkins from a few years ago), James Ball looks good in parts but goes missing for chunks of the game, Ethan Brierley is very promising but 18 years old, Conor Malley is also inexperienced.

He isn’t a central midfielder. He’s a winger/striker.

Wasn’t very good on his return. Since Salford his career seems to have gone off a cliff and now coming back from a long term injury as well I don’t see him making an impact.

I was stunned with Bristol City signed him, willing to be proved wrong but he’ll never make it as a pro based on what I saw of him

He was our best player last season.
Loved his directness and energy.
Unfortunately he picked up a bad one at Ipswich last season which was the end of his time here.
I was hoping that if he could prove his fitness we would have him back but I understand he is a northern lad anyway.

It's been announced that Mark Marshall will leave Crawley when his contract expires at the end of the month. Nothing to say where he is going.

Although age and injuries seem to have caught up a bit he is still a decent winger and can get in a good cross.

Where ever he ends up I wish him the best.

Danny Lloyd first came to Rovers' attention scoring a hattrick against us for Peterborough in a cup game, when there was some goading of home fans, who'd been giving him stick as a local lad. Hence his spell with us raised some eyebrows, though no real criticism of his effort and commitment. Expectations were raised on the basis of that cup game, but he isn't a striker, more of a wide player or no 10. He seemed to be in and out the side and although I think we'd offered him another deal at the end of the season, he opted to join the Gills instead.

A few rumours round these parts that Owen Moxon will be sold to Stockport in January for a five figure sum.

And apparently the Omari Patrick to Tranmere deal could be moving a step closer. Just a case of dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s.

One other line is apparently a deal is close to being agreed for Carver to be sold to Grimsby to be used as fishing bait.

Isn’t he injured at present? We are lacking pace in the team and he would benefit us in that regard.

Heard Nichols of Crawley is going to Colchester for £60k instead of going to Mansfield

Defensive mid? Would he be happy moving somewhere as backup, because there's no chance of replacing Croasdale yet

Nichols to Colchester is being reported by the real efl site. It also says that every Crawley player is now transfer listed.

The CTSA (supporters club) has written an open letter to the club asking/demanding a meeting to discuss the situation.

From my reading of it I would say the club has formalised what has always been the case by putting the players names on the Transfer Room. They've then made a pigs ear out of it by trying to deny it.

Nearly all league 2 players are for sale nearly all the time. Especially when you only get 2000 fans through the gate but it does suggest that the club are in financial difficulties.

Get beat off Hartlepool, get transfer listed. Sounds fair enough to me.

Box to box. He can defend because of his physical attributes, but his best qualities are attacking.

The cynics say he’s putting on the injury to try and force the move and to make sure he’s fresh for January.

Stockport County.
Not really sure we need a midfielder but good players are always welcome at the club.

I think we'll be active in January. We've trimmed the squad right down in preparation.

You say that but DC tried to move him to the bench already this season.

He was someone we were linked with in the summer as well.

If Croasdale picks up an injury then who’s our holding midfielder?

You can’t move Wright or Collar out of their positions they are excelling in and the Camps experiment didn’t really work.
