How quick is he? We play a back three so we'd be much more interested in someone who can do the RWB role
He’s quick and we started the season playing with wing-backs.

Suggestion from one of the ITKs on Tranmere forum that we’ll be selling up to 5 more players, so looks like he’ll be off somewhere.

Seems the perfect fit for us and would makes sense to sell him to us rather than lose him for nothing in the summer.

My initial reaction was that it would be a mistake to let him go to a potential promotion rival. Having heard what’s now being suggested in terms of numbers of players we’re trying to move on, not sure that TRFC can be serious contenders for that, so sell him to whoever will pay a decent fee. If that’s Stockport then sounds like he’d be a decent fit for you.

Jamille Matt on his way to either us or Walsall apparently.

Sounds like we’re getting Vernam here on loan until the end of the season, happy days.
Yep, seems that way. Some talk that it's gonna be a perm deal and not a loan despite this article:

Need to find that targetman/#9 now. Khan, McAtee and Vernam off someone like Taylor (or Taylor when he's back) is a very solid frontline. Scanz, Wearne and Kiernan (possibly) as backup. Happy with that.

I put a pound on Gillingham to get promoted yesterday because I couldn't find next season's odds. 250/1. Almost certainly won't happen but I'd have been kicking myself if it did and I didn't put that pound on.

Tim Dieng is a great signing for us. Should do the business in L2 and he looks a big unit. We currently lack a bit if height.

Exeter fans in the main seem sorry to lose him.

I would've taken Dieng back here. He's got everything our midfield doesn't have - height, aggression and goals.

No disrespect to Gills but I imagine they're paying him quite well as I'm sure he'll have had offers from clubs higher up the division.

I would hope we're paying him quite well, he's a good player.

Realistically our club shouldn't be where we are in the league table, so a signing like this is about right for us - top end League Two/lower end League One. Hopefully Galinson has come in with enough time to get us through the end of this season with our EFL record still intact, and we'll challenge again next season like we normally do in this league.

Wonder how much Gills paid for Dieng? A few people seem to think it was low 6 figures, which, if true, is good business for a 30 year old.

He’s a very good player though and will do well there. Should score his fair share too and is handy in the air in both boxes.

The only figure I've seen mentioned was 50k, but no-one really knows for sure.

some good signings being made so far, considering Clough keeps going on about how tough this transfer window is and we will probably have to wait untill the last week.

I’m not sure what’s going off, a genuine lack of funds avaliable (maybe waiting for Danny Johnson to be sold) or we have a few targets in mind and if it’s not them it’s no one.

Lee Angol to Sutton. We paid a fee which is rare. Presumably peanuts. Assume this is when Bradford fans say he’s useless.

Very capable at this level if you can keep him fit.

Didn’t suit our formation, but put him alongside a target man and he’ll get you goals.

Wait, we payed a fee for a player??? A very rare occurrence. Fingers crossed that the Sutton strikers curse doesn’t befall him

Angol is a good player but keeping him fit is the big problem. Played as a striker his back to goal work is very good and he chipped in with 7 goals last year which is good going considering he missed half of the season injured.

Don’t think any City fan would say that, he’s got ability but you only have to ask any of his other clubs he’s made of glass unfortunately. He’s tried not to get injured this season by simply not running at 100% anymore and it’s showing

Stockport County.
New Gills owner spending the money he received from holding his wife hostage as per the video he shared over Christmas.

Fair play to him.

Is it me or has this been a very active window so far? Moreso than usual for the second week anyway?

I’d agree, a lot of early business.

I wouldn’t have kept Angol in the summer as I wrote on here at the time based entirely on his fitness record, the fact we gave him two years with the option of a third was mad, as has been proven by him moving on within a few months of that contract.
A decent L2 player, very talented, an ego which both works with the type of player he is but doesn’t at the same time after he’s tried and failed once more to do some trick and has lost the ball for the tenth time. Will chip in with goals and fairly decent in the air. The inescapable downside are his hamstrings, or what’s left of them, he won’t play twenty games a season. Always put in 100%, hope he does well down there.
