From Croydon originally which might well put you in the driving seat. Especially if Watford are wanting to keep him close.
they loaned him to York last season - so distance didn't matter then. We had a loanee from Chelsea last season too.

Maybe there wasn't anywhere closer that wanted him though. You're right, it might not be a factor but it could well be if he wants to live at home, which he could feasibly do and play at MK Dons.

Did any of the Notts/Wrexham fans see Shaq Forde last season? 9 goals in 20 for York on loan from Watford, being linked with us. Presumably we're looking at a loan there.

Halifax's Jesse Debrah also linked, didn't play either game against us in 21/22 but Maher and Green have turned out to be decent pickups from them so hopefully he'll follow that trend if it comes off.

Scored against us on the last day I think, although that was a bit of a meaningless kick about. I think he started really well and was banging them in for a few games then really tailed off towards the end of the season.

I've only seen it from one random twitter account so I have no idea how reliable, but even then as it stands I'm not sure we need another striker (if he is one) unless we sell/loan out one of the ones we already have.

If he's more of a winger... then maybe that's more likely.

Yeah his 9 skewed a bit by a hattrick early doors but his single goals were quite consistently spaced...

The account has 35 followers and has only sprung into life during the half-term holidays. I wouldn’t put much faith in that rumour.

Yeah of course, I tend to believe about 3 or 4 different sources from outside the club at best.

But it’s also a rumour no matter how made up and after signing Gilbey yesterday I’ve caught the bug and want more!

Our local paper is reporting that Lindsey does not expect to do any early business as we have to ship players out first.

As always it's the good ones you find it easy to transfer out.

George Broadbent signed from Sheffield United, box to box midfielder on a 2 year deal and that’s the sum of all I know about him

Good player, very energetic and technically very sound. Expected to see him in the league this season so no surprise someone has taken a punt.

Bugiel is done deal and announced
Reasonable signing. Great work ethic. Probably lacks the quality in the final third to get too excited about. Maybe what he gives to the team can improve one. Presume he got a very good deal as was looking further west and League One.

I love Omar, and always will. Watching him go to Wimbledon is like watching an ex you care deeply about shack up with the strange neighbour with a fake tan who smells faintly of cat wee.
Looking on the bright side you can always pop down the road to watch him at plough lane. You'll be most welcome !! Hopefully he'll do ok for us.

Not confirmed yet but word is Ben Foster has signed a 1 year deal. Got to be the oldest player in the league if true surely?

Jake Young - just another player at this level with bags of potential.

Not sure whether he’s a bad apple, whether Hughes and Jake just don’t see eye-to-eye or whether he’s just not up to standard, but seems strange offering him a 3 year deal, scores 4 in 12 then gets put in the bin.

He didn’t do anything on-loan at Barrow, but I can see him doing well elsewhere.

Shame about Young, I think he's definitely got something and can't help but think if we persisted with him over shite like Nevers, Eisa, Costelloe etc then he may have developed this season.

Rarely actually played for us.

We signed him as a bit of a raw project punt from somewhere obscure. Looked raw but lively in a pre season game I watched. He was unlucky in the sense he was always a step below where the club were so ended up loaned out and then Halifax got him permanently. He's done well for them. Scored a good last minute goal vs Altrincham in an FA Trophy semi final. Lively, tricky, winger type where final ball could be questioned etc is what I believe.
