Ibou Touray from Salford signs for us on a 2 year deal. Was their club captain and a good left back for them. Looks like he's joining us to play left of a back three. Proper Chally ball this, he's re inventing the game as we know it.

Good signing that. Did dirty old town want to keep him, if so, well done for snatching him off them

They offered him a deal, I don't know the levels they went to because obviously he's been able to run down his contract. I get the impression Neville isn't happy, club legend has left, Touray and Salford announced it yesterday and not a peep from him at all.

Regarding Kevin McDonald: Exeter fans seem gutted he’s leaving. Apparently he’s faired quite well down there, but on the face of it, it’s another player whose 34 with injury problems.

Can only assume our so called big signings will come later in the window, because it’s all been a bit meh up to now.

Plenty of money in the bank to spend by the sounds of things, so I’ll reserve judgement for now.

Your big signing will end up being Josh Kay....

I think we've a signed squad of 17 out field players with one still to decide so we must be looking to sign a few this next fortnight in time for pre season training.

We’re being linked with NI international winger Conor McMenamin from Glentoran but there are several clubs looking at him. Could desperately do with a couple of proper wingers though, Agyei is another name but that’s just fans throwing his name in the mix I think.

Rumoured names from us are Declan John from Bolton and Dylan Mcgeouch from FGR.

Apparently we are looking at bringing in four players, a LWB, Centre forward, central midfield and a Left Sided centre back (who will replace Harry Lennon who left)

Huge pinch of salt for those names, they've really plugged up most leaks at the club nowadays.

Billy Chadwick from Hull apparently. Was on loan at Boston last season so a big step up to L2. We don't really need a striker so I'm not exactly sure what the plan is for him.

I did wonder if that was who you meant last week when you said a Hull striker who had been at Buxton, was wondering if Chinese whispers had turned Boston into Buxton as Chadwick seemed like a much more likely signing. We've been linked with Chadwick every window for about two or three seasons now it seems. He looks fairly handy from the last reel I saw, not that you can rely too much on that. Decent range of goals/finishing though. We've had mixed success with Hull academy players but the ones that have been good have been very very good.

Gone a bit quiet at Stags, I think it’s likely we missed out on our target for defence (maybe the guy at Stockport) and I’m gathering something is still holding up Christy Pym signing.

What happened was someone on our forum said a striker from Hull was signing who wasn't a big name and there were 2 or 3 realistic people. There is one who was on loan at Buxton aswell I think.

It wouldn't surprise me if we signed this guy, looked at him in Pre-Season and maybe loaned him to the NL. Maybe that is really playing his quality down but on paper the signing doesn't make sense.

Yeah could be worth a loan to Alty or someone like that for a few months, see if he can step up to NL. Agree that NLN/S to L2 is a big step. Did very well at Boston by all accounts and was well thought of at Hull when he was younger. Worth a punt I'd say, I wouldn't have minded us going for him.

Still interested to see what Luton do with McAtee. Always wanted him here ever since the 21-22 season, that Wrexham play off performance he was the best player on the pitch but no links with us. Luton being in the PL surely he won't be staying there, not even sure he'd have been staying there if they were Championship.

I love McAtee and he’s one of our most influential players of the past 10 years (and probably beyond) but Luton really did give us the deal of the fucking century with him last summer

Yeah was definitely a bit hit and miss regarding what Luton would do with him in the Championship, let alone the Prem. He'll almost certainly be getting loaned out again. Hopefully he gets himself a L1 club. However, as I said before, I don't think Stockport is a bad shout as I reckon he'd jump at the chance to be North West based. Needs to be in an attacking side and one that'll build around him. He'd fit Notts well too, in my opinion. Basically a ready made replacement for Rodrigues.

And yep, Wrexham in the playoffs was certainly his finest hour. Top tier performance that.

McAtee’s performance in that play off game was the best away player performance I’ve seen at the racecourse in 18 months. He was unplayable.

Latest transfer rumour our end is former FGR man Dylan McGeouch

Chadwick signed. He'll do pre-season with us where we'll then assess whether we'll keep him or loan him out for the coming season.

McGeouch would add quality to any midfield in this league, very good on the ball. A bit of a shame we did not sign him last summer but our midfield was too stacked.

One poster on our forum reckons we've booked a goalkeeper in for a medical tomorrow. I doubt it, but I wonder if Pym's delay at Mansfield is related? There are certainly other keepers around but as I've mentioned before here our recruitment seems to be based around experienced players and leaders to fill the gaps and Pym is certainly experienced at this level and higher.

Last we heard was something from Pym end was holding it up, some assumed it maybe down to the social media he post after Peterborough bottled it against Wednesday and he had a dig at Darren Ferguson.

For what it’s worth Pym was average for us last season but you can do much worse at this level.

I highly doubt it is, unless Pym is coming in to be a back up, as it sounds like that's what this player is.

As expected Josh Gordon rejects a new contract in favour of a move to Burton.

I know this belongs in the Sunday League forum but Cal Roberts has just signed for Scunthorpe, what in the name of Christ are they doing over there?
