Mansfield fans, what’s Riley Harbottle like? I hear we’re keen to get him on loan.

Jennings is a desperate signing. He wasn't up to it at National League level 2 seasons back.
I am not sure that is true. He was the best player on the pitch when we played Hartlepool a few months ago, and did pretty well in a very poor side up there. I think he has got plenty to offer as a squad player at this level.

We are shopping at Tesco rather than Harrods, so yes, it would be surprising if you did not finish above us for the first time in thirty six years.

Regan Hendry is a very good signing for us. A key player in the Forest Green side that walked the league a couple of seasons ago.

I think Jennings is a good player to have about the place, clearly idolised at Tranmere, very good footballing brain, had a few good games for us and gives his all every game but his body just doesn't have it anymore, I'd of been really disappointed if he was in our starting XI in the National League next season.

What’s going on with Scunny’s ground? I know they were locked out of it a few weeks ago but any progress on a new one (or anywhere to actually play)?
Just read on The Fishy that apparently their owner has been on the Scunny Facebook page (his official soundboard of choice) saying that they're 100% starting the season at Glanford Park but could all be bollocks of course.

A good developing defender, but he does make a mistake occasionally, one game I think he made two mistakes which both resulted in goals and got dragged off at half time.

Overall he was good last season and contributed with goals too I think most stags fans be happy if he came back.

Back up to who? We haven't got a goalkeeper worth the name at teh moment!
We’ve still got plenty of time to add a first choice goalkeeper and I’d expect us to be looking at the loan market again like we did for Cumming, but if we aren’t using Sandford then we need to bring 2 in this window and one of them will have to be a back up.

Cheers.

Sounds like he has potential and we probably need more depth in that position so he could be a good option to have in the squad without being a guaranteed starter.

Where is Cumming by the way?
He was brilliant for us.

Back to Chelsea now, I’d imagine this time around he’ll be off to a championship club. He’s shown his quality at the right end of league one a couple of seasons ago and last season was both the fans and players POTY.

Echo what the other posters have said. Jennings will be used off the bench (hopefully) and will be a better option than some of the dross we had last season.

Hendry is the one i'm excited about. Technically brilliant, and if we can get him playing higher up the pitch, he's an asset.

We’ve got a friendly at their place in July apparently

Bomber Harris quotes on a potential Alfie May bid:

'Watch this space, we are looking at attacking options and he's a centre forward I like a lot'.
'there's no smoke without fire'

We’ve signed Jamie Proctor from Vale as our main striker. Only a couple of goals last season but usually been good against us.

I thought he may retire to be honest, main issue is keeping him fit, but when he is at League Two level he is an excellent striker, if he is your main striker though it may be an issue in terms of availability.

Top bloke and wish him all the best.

In all honesty I don’t think Proctor has got a great deal left. Excellent professional and there’s no doubting he and James Wilson forged a decent strike partnership a couple of years back but I think injury has taken its toll on Proctor. Even when he came back last season it was painful trying to see him move around the pitch.

He sounds like a straight replacement for Rodrigues in our ‘mercurial number ten’ role.

For the 3rd time! The guy's 100% done deal signed for us more than anyone now. I'll believe it when it's on the official Twitter.
I don’t go on the fishy but people on Twitter saying it’s someone on there who is always spot on that has said it.

Yep Surrey97. He's been a bit off the boil this window to be fair. He is maintaining that Bennett is still very much ON too though, so hopefully he's right about that.

To be fair, Apparently we have had a few transfers collapse according to sources. However, As far I am aware the Bennett deal is still on and it is his agent holding the deal up.
