Bass has experience at this level, he replaced Richard O’Donnell here two years ago, RO’D a consistent 6 or 7/10 every week Bass was 10/10 one week followed by 2/10 the next. His debut for example at Walsall we thought we’d signed a worldie, a few weeks later he’s chasing a Swindon player going nowhere away from goal, taking him out, and giving away a penalty in the last minute to lose the game. There never seemed to be much in between.

A league where George Miller and Devante Rodney are getting double figures, Akil Wright being a much sought after centre back and we're being told Mullin will get less than 15.

What a time to be alive!
Have you seen Akil Wrght playing centre back recently? Absolute monster. Will gently place Paul Mullin in his pocket and keep him there ;)

Similar to what we have already with Tzanev except Bass sounds like he has higher highs, so an upgrade of sorts.

Saw him in the playoffs and he still had the 50p head he's always had.

It's about time Stockport kept Mullin quiet though, man usually runs riot against them.

Stockport County.
Wrexham trying to give us grief. Proper pillow fists that lot. They're landing shots but they just do not hurt at all.

Lots of rumours going around that were set to sign Mickey Demetriou, after he rejected a new deal at Newport. Certainly ticks alot of boxes. He's experienced and doesn't tend to miss many games which is good.

Oteh is out of contract. We have offered a deal but no news on him signing it. He was a real hero for us at the end of the season. The amount of running back and forth he should have been labelled a box to box midfielder. He is not a starting striker in our side and I reckon that or a promise to play up front is probably why he didnt sign

Telford is reckoned to be on £4k a week. Of the top of my head he scored 9 goals from open play last season.

I honestly think wagmi have run out of money for us. Hence the better paid players are disappearing.

Apologies for commenting on your club, but it's more interesting than Bradford who have made minor changes.
Telford had a good goal rate near the end of the season, although that's a small sample size. I think Lindsey plans to use tactics that will make the most of him, which given his salary (which may not be 4k basic, but by the time you add bonuses) is a pretty obvious thing to do. Though not to Kevin Betsy
You have to think either Betsy didn't want Telford, or he's an absolute idiot. It seems pretty clear that it's WAGMI that made that decision, but they are always adamant that everything that went wrong was someone else's fault, even if that someone else wasn't there at the time it happened.
I don't think it's so much that they've run out of money though they did set a wage budget a year ago which was twice as big as it should have been. (It is of course the fault of the guy who spent the money, not the people who set the budget and gave it to someone with no understanding of L2 finance).
Anyway, I think they're trying to live within their means. They are cutting it close if you see their performance against East Grinsted as indicative of their present quality.
I fancy Orsi working well with Telford as provider, though don't hold me to that. It will be huge if Ben Gladwin is fit for the start of the season (although it doesn't look like he will be).
If Crawley don't sign anybody new by the time i have to predict, then sure, they're rock solid at 24, but there's some room for optimism they can improve the squad.

Stockport fans, what role is Nick Powell going to play for you, do you think? Midfielder, striker?

... He types, looking up at his framed picture of Akil Wright through tear-filled eyes.

Wagmi set a budget then let it be overspent.

Telford will score goals in the right system, ask Newport fans, but sticking him up front in his own was never going to work.

Betsy was a control freak, you could hear him asking for ten passes across the back and so on, great coach though.

Lindsey said he wants 3-4 more in before the start of the season. I think we need them.

Wagmi strike me as unbusinesslike. Overspending one place and underspending elsewhere. Eg, fortune on loan keeper when we had a really good keeper anyway. Four players no one was allowed to pick (we still have 1) then bringing in players from other clubs as replacements

I have very little expectations for this season but the players we have should be able to escape relegation if wagmi don't scupper it again.

Ideally an attacking number eight, I think? We persistently play a middle three, and Collar and Croasdale have the other two spots wrapped up and would flourish with a quality link-up player to the forwards, the role Sarcevic should be serving but never got going in last season.

Would be a strong signing if true. Tough, durable, can pop up with a goal as well. Everything they needed to replace McDonald. I'd argue it's an upgrade. Hope this is true, Pete O'Rourke doesn't usually get these calls wrong.

Minor changes - we’ve only made three youth players pro, what you on about?

Is SIX signings and a new formation not good enough for ya, eh, eh?

Get da fuk outta here

Sounds like Northampton are in for Riley Harbottle, (guessing there will be competition) assume it will be on loan but you never know. Impressed at Mansfield?

Jumped the gun a bit. Hasn't been finalised yet.

Still time for Stockport to come and bully us out of the deal.
They're all spent up for the summer after signing Powell.

All that money per week on one player is a risk, he needs to perform.
