With the como trip I didn't expect any deals to be done, hopefully at least a couple through the door early this week

Tbh I thought he'd move to L1. If he's coming back to L2 we should be absolutely in for him. Though having said that we look to be moving to a 3-5-2 so unsure how he'd really fit now.

I'd be livid if Banks came back to L2 and it wasn't to us. 250k is loose change to Rupp and we could sell him for five times that in 18 months.

It would be a travesty from our point should he move to another L2 side. He’s L1 standard now, will only improve and a future Championship midfielder, any fee paid now would only be an investment as there’s no way his value will go down.

I just cannot see Banks dropping to league 2 permanently, he's too good and should be aiming for another loan higher up the chain for now in my opinion

He’s a winger but has a lot of technical ability, I don’t think him playing as an attacking midfielder would be out of his comfort zone especially at this level.

Our owner won’t make that sort of investment which is a crying shame.

Unfortunately I think Rupp has been put off by Rahic spending similar amounts on crap like McCarten and Reeves.

We had him on loan as a kid from Liverpool, classic midfielder who was alright at everything but didn’t really stand out at anything. Seems to have made a decent career for himself since though.

I think Rupp wouldn’t think twice about throwing £250k on the table, it’ll come down to Sparks - and I can’t see Sparks paying decent fees for players again until we’re back in L1.

He occasionally played a second striker role so I reckon he could do it l. Very technical and can manipulate the ball well so has the ability to.

As above with the other City fans, I'd be fuming if he dropped back to L2 and it wasn't with us. Genuinely fuming.

As I say most were under Rahic, who liked to keep his spending hidden. Mainly nominal fees since.

But yes there isn’t a need to spend money on transfer fees as this level, wages are much more of a factor.

Banks would be an exceptional signing for anyone in this league, and like others, I thought he'd go to League One. A shame we can't get anywhere near a £250k transfer fee.
