Apparently we won't make any signings just for the sake of it. Struggling to see where we could improve the side. Defence is solid but could do with cover at LB. Midfield is ok but we have about 7 Central midfielders playing for 3 places and 4 strikers fighting to 1 position.

Maybe another winger as Lambe and Thomas are both hit and miss, One game brilliant, Next 5 average. Blair will be like a new signing once he cements himself in the side though so I can't see him bringing anyone in there.

Looking increasingly likely that Sheehan will be signing permanently next month. :)

How has Blair done?

Very good mate. Not as strong going forward but has been excellent defensively and filled in brilliantly for Benning. I'd like us to be able to keep him but not sure if it's possible. Is Moinz playing Sheehan at Left back yet? If not I've got no idea why we've still got Adams!

No, Sheehan is playing at centre back. We've been playing centre backs there, although Rob Milsom was very good there on his full debut the other day. Whether he makes it his own or not will probably decide whether we want Adams back, although Moniz has never seemed like a big fan of him.

The sensible thing would probably be to have Adams and Bennett back now they've found form with other League Two club, but there's no second guessing Moniz.

We have Grays striker Dumebi Dumaka on trial. Had trials with West Ham, Ipswich and Fleetwood. Fleetwood wanted him but couldn't come to an agreement with Grays. 19 goals in 23 games so far this season.

http://www.graysathletic.co.uk/news/dumebi-dumaka--player-update-1540753.html

Grays manager Mark Bentley is also a coach in our youth setup. Apparently recommended Dumaka to Hendon, but we declined to pursue interest. Heard a couple of people say he's a big talent however.

I've not heard a thing from our club.

As our top striker and (by far) the best defenders are loanees that will soon be back at their parent clubs I'm beginning to get worry lines. And no, we don't have anything like the money to sign them.

Someone, somewhere give me the botox of a few rumours about good players coming our way.

I can't give you any rumours in for Crawley, but I know Edwards has been attracting League One interest. Whether they follow up on it is another matter.

This season would instantly become a success if we offload that shite prick anywhere, let alone to another team in League 2 - thus ruining their season in the process.

A fucking tragic footballer.

Kieffer Moore scored in a trial game for us tonight. Yeovil cast-offs are definitely the way forward, especially ones who are a slower version of Ollie Palmer.

Been training with us for the past month. Can't say I'm particularly keen on him if I'm honest.

We've released winger Kevin Osei following the conclusion of his 6 month contract.

Made a bright start but just hasn't been able to find a place in the squad since. He's an out-and-out winger or forward and we just haven't had any call for that kind of player.

Apparently Wycombe are close to agreeing a permanent deal with QPR for Michael Harriman, just as Luton are too busy sorting out their manager. That would be a coup for them.

Just building on the above... Osei was one of five players whose contracts ended in January, the club are in talks with the other five. Curle says that 'some' of them have been offered contracts until the end of the season, and some 'beyond'. They are;

Derek Asamoah
Joe Thompson
Angelo Balanta
David Atkinson

I'm assuming that this means 2 of them have been offered contracts beyond the end of this season. I'm guessing that Atkinson, having more than proven his worth is being offered a contract that goes into next season. Asamoah has always been offered short term contracts due to his age, but he shows no signs of slowing down and perhaps he is the other to be offered a longer term contract as Thompson and Balanta have been on the fringes of the squad... of course I could be wrong.

Well I'd offer Asamoah an 18 month deal. He's proved his worth and like you say his age isn't an issue. If I didn't know his age and got told he was 20, I'd believe it.

When I told the people around me he was 33/34 when we played you, they were in shock!!

Asamoah is becoming a club hero in my eyes, especially after the Anfield goal. Goes under the radar most of the time but to be performing like he does at his age is frankly ridiculous, he'd be in good shape if he was mid-20s let alone mid-30s. I think he's more than earned a longer deal at this stage.

He certainly has a knack for scoring the big goals.

So it looks very likely that gaffney is going to rovers and if I'm honest I ain't to happy about it, the bloke has been injured since he came(as well as being chadwicked) played the odd cameo for us and looked lively, we get dezza in and ship him out on loan, now if this was just to get fit then all would be good but it's sounding very much like that dezza doesn't rate him!!

There's got to be more into this, perhaps off the field is where the problem is for dezza as I can't see much wrong when gaffney is on it, I do hope dezza knows what he's doing as I've got a feeling this may came back and give us a huge bite.

Devon White anyone!!!!!!!

I agree, there must be an off the field problem with Gaffney otherwise why the hell are we strengthening a play off rival.

I trust Derry but I do wonder if this one will come back to bite us in the arse come the end of the season. If he is allowing Gaffney to extend the loan, get a recall in the deal but I'm sure he will have Williamson or someone else lined up. My fear is if Corr get's crocked we don't have another striker of his calibre to hold the ball up or bully defenders.

This window is make or break for us.

We're in for Conor Townsend (left back) currently on loan to Grimsby from Hull City. Carlisle and Scunthorpe are also rumoured to be interested.

We've had him before a couple of times so he may prefer us if that's true.

I liked Townsend, he was a good player when he came here on loan from Hull. I was surprised he didn't get a move to a league club, so I'd be reasonably happy if we were to get him.

Would he start for us? I'm not sure, Grainger had the position nailed down until he was used as a left winger recently.

Grimsby fans are saying he would prefer to stay with them or a team local to Hull (Scunthorpe).

Mickey Demetriou is expected to go back to Shrewsbury after Saturday and Greg Taylor is apparently out for the season so we don't have a left back after Saturday. A bit far from home but Cambridge isn't a bad place to live and he will be first choice. Interesting one.
