Matthew Olasunde looks like being Hutton’s replacement.

Son of Cod GTFCfish Gladders any other Grimsby bods' what's the status on Luke Waterfall, heard today we're interested in a loan move? Load of shite? doable?
Doesn’t seem quite good enough in League 2 but he was fantastic in the National League so if true then I would expect it would be a good move for both parties.

100% doable and out of contract. He can still do a job in L2 if only used in the right matches. Still gets his head onto absolutely everything, would be a good signing if used in the right defence.
Giz a loan of Holohan whilst your at it :2thumb:
I wouldn't say that is totally unrealistic. Not really been in the side that much under lately. I think Artell is making his mind up on Gav still. Might be a goer in the summer. Would be a cracking NL signing.

Middlesbrough interested in our 19 year old centreback Harrison Minturn who we gave a 3 year contract and has been drafted into the first team this year. He's a confident lad who is good at bringing the ball out of defence but is still very raw. For a Championship side to be looking at him shows there is something about him they can work with. Good money and a sell on potentially could work for both parties.

Looks like Conteh is off for a club record fee to Bristol Rovers.

Really good business for us given he’s only been here 6 months and it felt obvious that we’d sell him for massive profit at some point from the minute he signed, didn’t expect that to be so soon but yet another player sold for big money. Pollock, Grist, McAtee and now Conteh have all netted us well in excess of £1m in the past 18 months or so, can’t complain at that

Assuming you mean a Bristol Rovers record fee and not our selling record? Because that's escalated if it's the latter!

Yup, when we signed him all the signs pointed to him being a big prospect and would eventually be sold for a profit.

Shame it's only taken 6 months, not really seen us, but I keep seeing him top of the stats for number of tackles made in lge 2, so shows how important he is in midfield for us, we haven't had a decent defensive mid since Hessenthaler left.

Yeah, it's his combativeness and calmness on the ball that are the draws. Can win the ball off anyone in the division and will provide an outlet to his team mates and move the ball on with a touch or two all match when he's purring. The things people have been critical of him are things that can be coached but he's got the things that can't be coached so it's no surprise he's already attracting interest.

I'd be amazed if we were the only team in for him if there is a release clause. Just waiting for the usual scatterguns Bolton/Derby/Charlton/Portsmouth to swoop in

It’s not just his tackles he is so composed on the ball, he is playing way below his level here so no surprise to see him going although I didn’t think it would be this early.

Jaden Warner signed on loan from Norwich for the season. Six foot four centre back.

He stood out in both games against us and as just about the best player I've seen this season.

A rumour we have bid for Stephen Humphrys from Wigan.

He looked quality when we played them in the Cup so would be happy if we could get this done.

A lot of people on Twitter moaning about having a release clause for Conteh but to get a player like that here it probably took that release clause to actually get him to sign.

That'd make me really gutted that we missed out on Armstrong.
