Favourite Sarcevic memory was when he lost his head and got sent off at BP when Stockport were 1-0 up and about 20 matches unbeaten in the NL promotion season allowing us back in to win 2-1. Was a massive confidence booster in our playoff charge that win.

Will be interesting to see how Dirty Dave replaces these players at Stockport. Big challenge for him at a level he's not been at yet as a manager.

Likely to be massive deals for L2 these ones that have tempted Madden and Sarcevic to stay down at this level. Bradford firmly back in Going For It™ bracket now. Auto push for them I reckon.

It's our DOF's job to replace the players tbh. Challinor involved in the "final say" but recruitment as an umbrella is mainly down to Simon Wilson.

It was never a red that one at BP, I remember Hursty even said as much. Massive momentum swing in the game. Worked out well for us both in the end.

I thought your favourite Sarcevic memory at BP might have been when he opened the scoring in this seasons 3-1 County ROUT as we put the Blundell Park curse to bed thanks to Dave Artell and his mad passing out from the back.

It's about time we were allowed into this category. Hopefully it means the owner is been true to his work and finally investing rather than relying on sustainability nonsense which has seen us regularly outspent by clubs with less income. We should only be second to MK Dons in budget terms this season, no more crappy excuses from the club a business that doesn't invest regresses as we have done for 7 years.

More than happy to have assisted the Stockport promotion with a poor performance when we were 100% Artellball.

Don't remember that red being being up for debate previously, had it in my head that it was pretty cut and dry. You might be right though. Top tier bit of McAtee/Taylor link up that equalised in that one. Said it before this time last year, but you lot should be getting in touch with McAtee's agent in my opinion.

Mo Eisa, Michael Kelly, Dan Kemp, Warren O’Hora and Ethan Robson have all been released.

Dan Kemp will undoubtedly sign for Swindon Town and score a hat trick against us.

That's interesting what age was he released? We had him year before last, and whilst he wasn't a regular starter (he won't be now either) he showed very good technical ability, much higher than NL ball retention (think he had one of the highest pass completion figures in the league) and an ability to drive forward with the ball and hard to dislodge. There's a player there. Hard to know exactly what his best position actually is but we've brought him as a backup CDM for sure
Might be slightly off there actually. He left here, Cowley took him to Huddersfield for a year, they also released him and then signed for Arsenal so he'd have left us at around 18.

Except scoring that worldie at the Mill in 2022.

Stockport were in front after 53 minutes. Antoni Sarcevic received the ball 25 yards from goal, he took a touch and fired a fantastic shot into the top right corner of the net giving Pym no chance. It was a wonderful goal, though he wasn’t closed down.

Was referring to the season just gone, but that was a cracker in the top right hand corner, he was on the losing side then too.

Not a chance. Our only hope is if he signs for Bradford and he's sent to us on loan.

Would happily get the Young/Kemp band back together although we’d have about 25 CAM sort of players if we did. Charlie Wyke out with Cook and Gillead on what looks like Gilly’s stag do which I would also take all day long.

Yeah I liked McAtee. Ship may have sailed on that though think he's done well at Barnsley. Either back to them or Championship (maybe with Luton themselves) seems more likely.

Releasing upwards. Task failed successfully?

Yeah without that Sarcevic Red I reckon we were in for being hammered 3 or 4 nil that day and we really needed that win too.

Would be a quality signing if you can get his head back in the game so to speak after all that happened, big upgrade on Eisa and Vernam.
I'd imagine plenty are talking to Diamond. Vernam is streets ahead of Eisa to be fair to him. Trouble has been getting him on the pitch. Reckon he'll have a decent season next season personally.

What about us?

Our new fantastic owners have just invested £8 million into the club and have also stated that the playing budget this summer will be significantly big as we aim for a swift return back to L1.

We'll be considerably richer than you or any other club in this league next season as you don't have a pot to piss in.

I suggest you look up how FFP works and then you can see why Salford don't just simply blow everyone away with a billionaire owner, with your dump of a ground and facilities I'm surprised you even have a turnover.

Circa £5.5m the last time they were down here. They’re only £3.5m behind us.

I don’t think Simpson is telling the truth there.

Whether that’s to lower expectations of the likes of Carver or to lower demands of potential transfer targets/agents.

From what the owners have said I expect them to back the manager in the transfer market a bit more than “mid table”. We spent big, sorry I mean wasted a load of money in January and they’ve said the budget will be further increased.

But as クレイグ rightly says, when Abbott is head of recruitment it doesn’t matter whether we have a top budget or a conference north budget like 2 seasons ago.

Even if we could, we wouldn’t blow everyone out of the water. Our owners don’t strike me as idiots that just want to come in play it like it’s a game of FIFA career mode.
They’ll do it sensibly, not to the levels that clowns like carver expect.

Agree with 95 per cent of what Stocky says about Sarcevic put I would put a bigger question mark on his ability to stay fit.

Year on year he’s spent more time out injured and given his age that would be a worry. He’s always really rusty on his return as well.

You’re a fucking idiot man.

Because you support the same team as me I kind of feel guilty by association.

It’s kind of like when you have parents that just constantly embarrass you. You can’t help that you’re associated with them.

FFP does not exist at L1/2 level, and Salford did blow everyone out the water a few years back.
