Rumour going around that we're in talks with Jack Diamond.

We had him on loan from January onwards.

Clearly a talent, but his head still wasn’t right understandably.

I wouldn’t mind us taking another look at him as no way we saw the best of him.

I suggest you look up how FFP works and then you can see why Salford don't just simply blow everyone away with a billionaire owner, with your dump of a ground and facilities I'm surprised you even have a turnover.

You seem a bit envious mate.

That 'dump of a ground' is currently getting renovated and we have a new state of the art training facility being constructed right now at a cost of £4 million.
And of course our emaculate pitch was awarded as the best in L1 this season, a level far far above your horror show pitch which looked like something awful from the 70s.

So tinpot.

I really couldn't give a toss to be honest, good luck to any club with shiny new owners. We've been there and done that with all the excitement then it usually falls flat on its arse with owners who know little of the English game. I'd much rather Wrexham's owners as the revenue they can generate will make a real difference.

As for our pitch, go look at the last game of the season in 23 against Orient and 22 against, erm Carlisle and you'll see it is usually perfect. It was a once off because an idiot ref made us play in near floods on two separate occasions. It won't happen again.

They really do, that was because they came up from Non league which doesn't have the same caps. https://www.efl.com/governance/financial-regulation/

SCMP is easily navigated. You can spend 55% of income on wages, club owners can inflate income easily or do it with equity. championship is a different ball game, the link you sent if you actually read it will explain a bit mate.

Salford were offering six figure signing on fees a couple of years back. In non-league it’s easier (and riskier) because the owner can just fund a club via loans.

If your pitch had modern drainage then it won't have flooded so bad to begin with.

Our new owners are the real deal as they are delivering on the promises they have made and they're moving our club forward into the modern era which is crucial right now for any club really.

What’s to stop us from becoming the next Brighton or Brentford?

You’re a fucking idiot man.

Because you support the same team as me I kind of feel guilty by association.

It’s kind of like when you have parents that just constantly embarrass you. You can’t help that you’re associated with them.

Funny that because I feel a bit embarrassed for you being the over the top negative person you are who disappears and doesn't support our club when the going gets tough, but as soon as the season is over and a positive vibe begins for next season you come back out of the woodwork, just as a fair weather fan does..

Well their first aim was to stay in League 1 and they didn’t deliver on that

It’s one thing having a bit of optimism, but your over the top expectations, bragging and general shit talking is only going to come back and bite you on the arse.

Yeah I didn't realise you had him until I just Googled him. What was not quite right with him then? I obviously know about his trial and all that but interested to hear how the outcome of that translated onto his performances on the pitch.

Nicky Cadden is rumoured to be on his way to us after being released by Barnsley.

I would be very delighted as he was great for Barnsley the previous year and for Forest Green before then.

Just what we need, L1 level players.

Well he hadn’t played for 18 months or whatever it was, so that no doubt played a part, but he just looked like a man who was carrying baggage, the weight of the world on his shoulders. He got some stick (chants) off Orient fans in his first or second game - he did an interview with Piers Morgan a couple of days later and mentioned this.
I just don’t think he was mentally right. He got found not guilty of rape then 2 weeks later was playing in League 1. To go from thinking you’re going to prison for something you didn't do to back being a professional footballer in such a short space of time is a big ask and bound to take its toll mentally. The summer will do him good, a stress free holiday, recharge, then preseason to get back into it properly. Dropping a division might be what he needs. I expect he’ll be a different player.

H/G I think most know Carver is purposely fishing on 95% on his posts.....quite often he throws some funny ones out there, no one and I mean no one takes him serious in anything....I think most would read more into your posts as a more sentient comment and representation than his......but he deserves his place here to be the “wtf” element that all forums should have. I wouldn’t be embarrassed, you’ve no reason :)

Cheers. Did he only get shit in that one game then, or was it more frequent? Seems like one of those things that will follow him round regardless of the outcome. I know some of our fans would probably be singing she said no or something if he came up against us.

Where have you dreamt this one up from?

Even your reliable 0 in 3 years twitter source hasn’t mentioned this.

I don’t know to be honest. I stopped going to away games in the second half of the season. I only know Orient fans were singing she said no from the Piers Morgan interview.

The Barnsley fans forum, who reckon he's likely coming up here and Devante Cole who they also released is heading off to Wrexham.

You mean the “Guess where the released players will end up” thread where Barnsley fans guess the next club for each released player?

Bradford fans, we're linked with Harry Chapman,
Good player in there somewhere. We never saw the best of him due to being played out of position and him picking up a few injuries, one of which happened at the end of last season when he was starting to hit a bit of form. Could be a great signing. Could.

Surprised was sure he was going to Hartlepool, feel a season in NL maybe needed. Got talent but got injured during his best spell for us and never got going again.

I was a big fan of Chapman. Unfortunately, in my opinion he was played out of position too much to cover injuries. Keep him out wide and you have a good player if he signs for you

PP binned Cole off after less than 6 months when we had him.
