I still can't get my head around how they were allowed to start a fresh in another town miles away from their roots. They should have had to restart from the very bottom like teams such as AFC Wimbledon and Bradford Park Avenue.

What next, Reynolds moving Wrexham to LA, mind you, that would be a good away day for fans
I absolutely hate MK with every fibre of my being for obvious reasons but I'm getting bored with it.

He’s not the best right back in the league so he won’t be starting in front of Halliday, would expect to see him rcb if we continue with a back 5, pleased though as he’s better than what we had in Oyegoke.

Think you’ll be surprised if he gets a chance and stays fit. Don’t play him at CB though, definitely a full back.

Looks like we're signing Aaron Jarvis from Torquay.

Not saying Gary Johnson may be short on contacts, but the first signing being a striker from National League South doesn't scream playoffpush. With that being said, it won't take much for him to be better than most of our strikeforce last season.

He had a decent season in their relegation two seasons ago and I was surprised he stayed there. From what I saw of him he's OK, didn't do much at Scunthorpe last time he was in L2 but then again who did?

By my reckoning he'll come in as third choice at best behind Street and Taylor.

He and Keena will then be different forwards to bring on as the circumstances dictate.

Hang on, have I accidentally clicked onto page 1 of this thread? Or is Gary Johnson actually back in charge of Cheltenham?

Not to early to get on the beers in celebration is it? Thank fuck that's one down. Loft and Jones next hopefully.

Yeah I was surprised we offered him a new deal, unless it was a trigger in his contract like with Benning last summer but although I did like him, he just doesn't score goals and that wage is better spent, mad to think we let Wilson go and offered Uche a deal!

Been said before but shifting a few of the losers of last season on is every bit as vital as any incomings. Uche was just a terrible panic signing by a DOF who was completely out of his depth in L1. That miss against Cambridge if there was something on the line there.. Or indeed when he was through on goal at Northampton and completely butchered it as only he could.

The Burton cup miss was bad as well, open goal, 4 yards out and put it across the goal!

It means now we have scope for 2-3 strikers to come in assuming Loft stays he is not a bad option to hold the ball and see games out late on as a 3rd-4th choice, and if Dipepa is still here which looks unlikely then hopefully get 2 goal scorers in to compliment them and we will be sorted there.

We do massively need to get rid of a couple of the defenders to bring some improvements there.

CJ a decent signing for bradford in honesty, if he can stay clear of injuries he’s a solid player and certainly good enough for a side chasing playoffs etc.

A decent progressional as well

Worst player I have ever seen in a Scunthorpe shirt. Worse than Lee Ridley and Mark Sertori

We should be going for top 3 but this club has zero ambition. CJ is a poor signing.

Somethings happening tomorrow morning, no idea if it's a signing, another kit reveal or something else. Either way it's going to be an interesting event surrounded by the usual clientele Gillingham High Street attracts on your average weekday morning.

Opening a market stall with last seasons stock at discount prices

(maybe)

I have always found the sub brands of Giorgio sub par to be honest. Emporio is a bit hit and miss. EA7 is particularly chavvy.

We never offered him a deal?

The retained list just said we were in discussions with him, the same with Wynne (who I still think doesn't exist). Maybe he had some sort of trigger in his deal but Moore made it clear he wasn't part of his plans and that he was free to go elsewhere.

That was what I assumed, some kind of trigger like we had with Benning.

Hopefully gives us chance to get in a decent striker.

See Aden Baldwin has landed at Bradford, straight centre back swap.

One of the most infuriating Notts players I've ever seen. He's great on the ball, quick, decent in the air and has the attention span of a goldfish. I'd be amazed if there was anyone in English football who made as many bizarre errors leading to goals as he did last season. It's like you've got a Championship player two-thirds of the time and someone who's never seen a football before the rest.

It said he was released on our list, but believe we did offer him something but with the understanding he was going to have to be taken out of the firing line for a bit and earn his place back, but he wanted guaranteed minutes. Hope he does well, the ability is there and he'll always be remembered here for his play-off goals last season. Playing somewhere less likely to indulge his desire to try and play like prime Franz Beckenbauer might help him.

A strange situation where we’ve effectively swapped players but you’d argue both players were better suited to their original clubs, still he won’t be asked to play out of the back at all costs with us so hopefully that’ll cut out a lot of the mistakes.

Sounds like a confidence/concentration thing. Clearly has the ability but makes unnecessary errors.

Hopefully being surrounded by a new, and arguably more experienced squad, he will cut these silly mistakes out.

He's so hard to know what to do with because the mistakes tend to come playing out from the back, but playing out from the back is also why he sometimes looks so good. He's a centre back without any real outstanding defensive attributes other than his pace, but who is also capable of dribbling past half the opposition team, I don't know how he's ended up playing that position really.

It's probably for the best but I'll miss him, not often you get a box office centre back in League Two, or really any level. He's like a lower league David Luiz.

It's definitely not confidence, if anything the opposite, he's quite happy to try and nutmeg someone in his own box. Concentration would be the obvious, he's not too bad at defending his own box, but often looks like he's started daydreaming if he hasn't had anything to do for a couple of minutes.
