Rumours in non-league circles that Bromley are going to sign Inih Effiong from Dagenham. Proper non-league signing that.

We're linked with a loan deal for Palace keeper Owen Goodman. Not convinced given that he conceded 5 goals to us when playing for Colchester last season. However if our goalkeeping coach Ashley Bayes works his magic he could come good.

We have no goalkeepers apart from one academy graduate. All the rest get poached due to the Bayes effect. Last one to be poached is playing in the Eufa U17s tournament registered to Manchester City who they bought for peanuts.

Wimbledon adopting the Bradford model of signing Stockport’s cast-offs ( but did they start it last season anyway)?

I don't want those flashbacks, thanks.

Hopefully if Bromley are interested that means he hasn't had any long term effects from when he collapsed last season though.

People like that are thick as sh*t. They don't have anything in their head to process thoughts-just blurt out whatever nonsense that occurs to them.

He has potential, but I think the feeling amongst our fans was pretty split about him to be honest - I was never a big fan. He would make some decent saves and had a few excellent games (Mansfield away live on Sky, for one), but on the whole he was far too error prone for me. From his very first games he had a tendency to parry shots back into the six yard box and got lucky numerous times when strikers would fail to make the most of rebounds. It never felt like the defence had much confidence in him to me and he made more complete howlers in a season than I think I can ever remember from a goalkeeper.

In the end he was dropped with a few games to go and I think he was fortunate to stay in the team anywhere near as long as that. I'm sure he will eventually go on to become a decent League One or Championship goalkeeper one day but I'd rather we had an older head in goal this year.

Club captain Luke Offord has announced he's leaving Crewe Alex after 17 years at the club. He'll be a good addition for any L1 club looking for a versatile CB/CM option who rarely gets injured. He'll be a big loss for us and hard to replace.

Edit: so of course he like Nevitt chases the money and stays in L2. Typical.

We made Offord the very best deal we could and he due to sign until yesterday but his agent has stepped in and picked up a nice big fee for himself. It happens, we move on.

Stockport County.
Rumours he's turned down Carlisle as well. That's another player that has turned down the Cumbrian outfit despite them offering huge money. I wonder if it's because they're a small club?

Not surprised at Offord leaving. Staggered that he went to MK Dons. He's comfortably good enough for League One. Money over ambition, same as Nevitt.

I’m not sure you’ll be freeing up as much as you think. I should imagine they will want some extra money thrown there way to leave as no club is matching the contracts you’ve given them.

Lapslie is not getting close to what he’s currently on, I highly doubt he’s going to happily take a massive pay cut.

We're announcing somebody in about 10 minutes time. No idea who yet but the first comments are about Armani Little
Looks like we are in for Armani Little, when ever we are about to sign a player our chairman follows them on twitter and he has just started following Little and Jack Nolan, maybe a coeincidence but i suspect not

That's a poor wind up.

We're clearly not a small club at this level. Averaged 8000 at home last season in L1 where we were terrible and we had the 6th highest average away attendance.

We are bigger than MK Dons who only averaged around 6000, so no it's not because we're a 'small club'.

Yep saw a screenshot of the top 10 single away followings in L1 last season. Carlisle the only side not in the promotion race to get on there and were on there twice. Two 4k+ attendances when you're watching dross week in week out is some going.

There wouldn't have even been a question of him staying in League Two if not for his injury (largely because we would have won the league), been incredible since his move to midfield.
