Adams is confirmed as gone. Got yourself a very good leage 2 player. Didn't really chip in with many goals but laid on so many goals. Crosses well with either foot and seems like a good character in the changing room. Good signing for Carlisle.

Nicky Adams confirmed signed for Carlisle. Wants to be closer to his family up North apparently.

Pleased with that signing.

You should be! His delivery from wide areas is top notch, but what struck me most was his work rate. The bloke never stops chasing and harrying defenders. Also think we can replace him, too good for League 2, average in League 1.

That is an impressive signing for Carlisle, always impressed me for Bury years ago and he looked good at Sixfields.

We've also signed 23ye old midfielder Joe McKee from Greenock Morton.

Know nothing about him but hopefully he's good.

Matty Blair signs for Doncaster, He's lightening quick but thats about it, He's had a few decent games with us but wish him the best because he's a top guy

Yep, He was finally starting to show us what he could do after a long time out with an injury he got about 3 weeks after signing for us. I'm sure Murray will be disappointed but he's not irreplaceable by any means. Good luck to the lad though, He will be a miss around the dressing room that is for sure. What a character!

It's a shame the first bit of transfer news out of the club is losing one of our players to a divisional rival.

I like Blair, lightening fast and exciting but little end product.

Not irreplaceable but would have liked to keep him.

Aye Taff is a left foot player. He's looking to move closer to home so it would seem the right move to go to Posh.

Also, is he out of contract this summer? Fry has confirmed the guy who is signing is a free agent this summer?

Did we offer him reduced terms, I thought we had the option to extend automatically.

Decent player anyway, some fans are not too bothered but I wanted to keep him.

Paddy McCourt has left Luton by mutual consent 12 months early. Apparently (though not officially confirmed - just the standard "personal circumstances" line officially) his wife is very ill with cancer so he wants to move home to Northern Ireland to be with his family.

Terrible for him and we can only wish his family the best if this is true.

Seems incredibly cynical to think of it in these terms under the circumstances, but from a footballing POV he isn't a huge loss for us (at least most of the time - on his rare days he is unplayable) and it probably removes a not insignificant wage from our budget.

Can easily step up to League One, in my opinion.

Good in the air, decent on the ball and good turn of pace. Positioning wise sometimes get caught out, but what lower league centre back doesn't?

I think he is decent and nothing more.

I thought he seemed a good lad, but if we've paid for him when he was injured for so long I see that as slightly poor form on his side.

Am not sure what our aspirations for next season are, but being realistic - if we are aiming for the play-offs we might well need someone of better quality.

I'm very "meh" about him going - I genuinely think we can bring in better.

Very happy with our business today, nice to see Curle addressing our lack of creativity in midfield quickly.

Jon Nolan on his way to Chesterfield.

What a bitter bitter blow that is.

Ffs, bad move all round that, imo. Was superb for us since he signed, but that was arguably the best period of his career so far. Definitely talented, but he's stepping up to League One too quickly. He was the one CM in our squad I wanted to keep.
I'm gutted he has gone but without him i don't think we would now be a League 2 team infact i'm sure of it, so i say good luck to him at Chesterfield and hope it works out for him and thank you for making us a League team again.
Also surprised and gutted about Clay, on the way to Southport last year we stopped at services and Clay and a few others were there waiting to be picked up and a nicer more down to earth guy you could not wish to meet, i was really hoping he would he offered a deal but sadly not.

Remember watching your play off semi final 2nd leg last season and Banton caused all sorts of problems when he played for Plymouth, seems to have talent so it's a shame he's a waster.
He does himself no favours with his big bollocks attitude and he thinks he should be playing for Barcelona when if he's lucky he'll end up at Braintree, at best.

To be fair it's the right decision, if they don't accept the new offer why would we want to initiate an extension on a player who doesn't want to be here.

Hmmm, well I suppose we'll see how he does. Already two new midfielders in.... christ I just know we're going to look excellent everywhere other than defence due to this defencephobic shithouse of a manager.

Certainly not as exciting as the purchase of Rowe and I'm not sure he'll be guaranteed a place in the starting X1 (Copps, Middleton, Rowe, McCullough, Evina Keegan, possibly Chaplow - looking bloated) but it's good to see work is getting done early.

Looks like he's our man then.

I presume he's pretty good? I don't know much about him to be honest.

Potential to be decent in league one?
Apparently we're interested in your left back Kgosi Ntlhe as well. He's been a bit of a crock these last two years!

Amen to that. He certainly came into this own in the second half of the season and definitely played his part in a number of positive performances.

From a summer of supposedly "not many changes", we've suddenly only got 10 senior pros on our books (plus 2 offers outstanding) and the development/first year pros. 14 players have left/are leaving the club. We probably need to make seven(?) signings at least.

He's got one thing none of the others have - pace.

Yeah I've heard that from a few Mansfield mates. That said our midfield looks very strong now which is obviously excellent but need to sort out the defence.

I'm very happy with our business so far presuming McSheffery's also coming in but slightly nervous that Ferguson will not bring in a good left back and right back especially. I don't trust him, hope I'm wrong as us and the owners providing these funds deserve results next season.

Surprised at the Blair news. He's been at Mansfield 18 months, got quickly injured, spent 75% of his time here injured or recuperating and then......gone.

Oh well. Hasn't set the place alight and replaceable.

I still don't trust him either, I know we have offered the Mansfield Centre Half a contract but looks as if we will lose out on him. Given that he seems to at last realise a need.

Drummy coached him as a 17 year old. Maybe he thinks he can get the best out of him. Maybe as he's only signed for a year he's not that confident!

He's fucking rubbish.

The worst thing about him is that he has the label of being really talented with a terrible attitude but he came to Notts and, in my opinion, actually looked bothered and worked harder than I expected...he was just bad at football.
