Mike Jones is a very good signing for us, that will do for the midfield, now we must complete the other positions that need to be sorted.

Thanks for the above feedback, sounds like another solid signing.

Like Carver says, I think that'll complete our midfield. A couple of fans are complaining we're signing too many midfielders, but surely 5 central players is a reasonable amount.

Chris Porter rumoured to be signing. Most likely as a back up to Barry Corr. A bit of a journeyman. Any good Col U fans?

Some people complain about anything!

Crawley want Rhys Murphy back permanent. League 2 is his level.

We're flogging one of our defenders for free, quite possibly to someone in this division. I hope it's George Ray or Harry Davis. It won't be Guthrie as we've just given him a new deal but if it's Nugent I'll be apoplectic with rage.

Ben Davies is definitely leaving us, in our local snooze today. Grimsby the favourites.

Why, he isn't that much better than Davis and Ray? He couldn't even get into the team towards the end of the season. Whilst I'd be disappointed to still have Ray and Davis, offloading Nugent is not one I'd lose any sleep over.

He's not been terrible but let's be fair he deserves a second chance at the lower level, rather than a fourth and sixth chance for the other two injury prone cloggers. I don't think he's Beckenbauer and I think he needs to become more disciplined but I do think Nugent can improve. At least end us of the seemingly never-ending defensive continuity of Davis and Ray in that back-line.

Besides when Nugent played with Ajayi he looked decent for League One level, I wonder if we'll bring him back next season...

Grimsby sign another of our former players bringing in Sean McAllister.

McAllister hasn't played first team football for about a year so he will be a little rusty but he was our player of the season a couple of years ago in L2, he should do well at Grimsby if they play to his strengths. He's a great lad too so good to see him get a club.

We've signed Gary Miller versatile right back. Sounds a solid signing. Another of those who has played for Adams in Scotland.

Oh no Matt Tootle's been released from Shrewsbury. Can't wait to hear Crewe fans demanding change beg for us to sign him back despite him not actually being very good.

What's he even done in the last few years apart from play reserve football and try and force through a move anyway?

EDIT: He's now signed for Notts County, phew.

Matt Tootle signs for Notts County. A good RB for this level when (mentally and physically) fit, but he's been dogged by issues with both in the last 2 years and has a lot of baggage at the moment. Really not sure how things will work out for him at County.

What constitutes baggage?

Genuine fitness problems, has hardly played in the last two years, confidence issues, a huge row with Steve Davis in 2014-15 (because he was promised a big money move by Dario that failed to materialise) and then a whole season of drama at Shrewsbury which I won't repeat on here as I don't know the full story but from the sounds of it you have to feel very sorry for the guy given what went on.

I do think League Two is his level, a lot of our fans overestimated him because he was passionate and good going forward but only Ollie Turton backs off more than Tootle does.

Bit concerned about his absence, but on the plus side he is a similarish player to Nolan who has won promotion from this division twice previously. Will need to work hard this summer and get lots of friendly minutes in, though.

We've signed Michael Smith for an undisclosed from Swindon.

Slightly underwhelmed by this, but his form did start to improve towards the end of his loan spell last season, as he begun to get himself match fit.

Scored a bagful of goals for Swindon a few seasons back, so must be a striker in him somewhere.

Mansfield sign Pat Hoban... oh dear
He's good enough for a team maybe challenging for play-offs in the conference... i don't think he will play much for you
