Belizehatter is still upset because we got Matt Tubbs for less money than they offered and as for James Dance I think we saved you there (he did score the winner against Wimbledon but that's all).

Sure we invested but we didn't have the biggest budget that season or any other season and anytime a club came in and offered money for our players we sold them. Hence we almost blew our promotion to league 1 as we sold our strike force with nobody to replace them.

False economy was more my point, not jealousy over this or that. I understand that super rich guys want a play thing from time to time and sometimes a Club benefits greatly, but usually its just in the short term. When they get bored and bugger off please don't then bleat about the reality of the situation. In time the likelihood is you're probably heading backwards but maybe the residual affect of the good times has you ending higher up the food chain than the starting point. Remember where you were and enjoy the memory of your ride. You even sounded like you expected some sympathy.
