Cheers, chaps. Sounds promising.

So far this season we've had to made do, in the main, with right-back Bradley Wood in midfield who's done an admirable job to be fair, but we need a proper CM in there sooner rather than later. We've not really given Alex Woodyard a proper or consistent partner yet.

Fergie has been to see Woodyard and we've been keeping a scout on him, possible bid in January.

You're telling me, signing players on a free isn't how you launder money.

:gr: *cough* signing on fee *cough*

I have no idea what he's like so not against it at all - I wanted a new cm.

However it's nowhere near a priority position so I wait with excitement for the incoming right back and centre back then - our budget allows them right?!?

You need a right back? Alex McQueen's still without a club and I'm sure your owner can stretch to the compensation we'll get.

Makes sense. Lincoln fans have no idea why a FL side didn't take a chance on him in the summer, it's clear he's far too good for this level.

Doesn't fit in with us in the slightest. The opposite of how we've played up until his signing, which was built on high energy, high pressure and he's not that at all. Throwing him straight in the starting XI probably didn't help.

Someone you'd probably bring on away from home to defend a lead with 15 minutes to go, but he's no better than what we have really.

From my research Janse looks good, has something about him for sure.
I have to agee on that, would rather sign a player of his experience for a season than rely on an unproven youngster.

Some players from abroad turn out good bargains, some turn out shit.

We should keep tabs on all these ridiculous signings.

Erichot: positionally awful, a unit who doesn't attack the ball properly. Needs vast improvement. Shit signing.

Mezague: We signed a player who's injured until fucking January. Shit signing.

Other randoms: TBC

N'Nomo - first clip I saw of him he kicked the ball infront of himself, about 30 yards to use his blistering pace to run onto, getting in behind the defence. Only problem he kicked it out for a throw. In my mind he is currently a less shit (because it's impossible to be worse) Shaun Batt until proved otherwise.

Janse - From the videos I've of him at Ternano he looks a sound defender, quick to jump into attack and technically good. I have high hopes.

Benedičič - I will look him up at some point.

Mézague - can play centre back and defensive midfield. I am optimistic about him when's he's back from injury.

Erichot - A fine physical specimen with an outrageous leap. Shame he has literally 0 defensive awareness. From the games I've seen he offers nothing that Connor Essam didn't...

One thing I've noticed from this forum since our leap into League 2 is that it seems supporting Orient leaves some of you in a permament state of depression. :dk:

I think Orient fans get depressed because they watch an owner throwing large amounts of wedge around but it's large amounts of wedge at some odd players.

I think they depressed because they have an owner who is a total fucking retard who knows fuck all about football and couldn't give a flying fuck about their club.

Only guessing though.

Our owner in short is a complete twat as a human being, whilst I admire him for putting his money in and signing some good players this summer, he cannot generate any sort of team spirit amongst them or the club as a whole.

His people skills are shocking and he has no connection with the fans. In two years he has managed to fall out with several players: Darius Henderson, Jobi McAnuff, Alan Dunne, Sean Clohessy and Dean Cox to name a few.

Its only a matter of time before Hessenthaler is sacked and replaced by another unknown with little coaching experience.

Our European captures weren't up for the fight last year, which pursuaded our chairmen to go for Fullarball. God help Orient

Dean Cox has signed for Burgess Hill Town until January. The Hillians are a Ryman Premier league side and I believe Dean played there as a kid before joining the youth set up at Brighton.
Good for us as they like to try to play in the proper manner, good for him as it keeps his fitness levels up and good for the Hillians as they have a monster of a player for that level.
Now watch some thug try to break his legs.

I'm confused. I though that a player can only play for two different clubs in one season.

Has that regulation been kicked into touch?

He was there at the Solihull game, which luckily for us was one of his quieter games. A few others Club were there, including MK Dons.

From playing football manager I seem to recall you can't play for more than two teams in a calendar year...that may be complete hogwash though.

The FIFA rule is:

"Players may be registered for a maximum of three clubs during the period from 1 July until 30 June of the following year. During this period, the player is only eligible to play in Official Matches for two clubs."

In relation to loans, FIFA are not happy but EFL and FA have put "Emergency Loans" outside these rules and there have been a number of players appearing for 3 or more clubs.

There's no problem with the 3 registrations.

Since Cox hasn't played for Orient this season (actually he has ), appearing for only 2 clubs is not a problem. If he had, then his registration with Leatherhead (edit; Burgess Hill - bloody Bullard in the Tinpot Thread distracted me) would have to be accepted by the EFL as an emergency loan rather than the standard loan outside the EFL that it appears to be. EFL new rules are:

4.3
Types of Registration

4.3.1
The following types of registration are permitted by The League:

Full Contract - Regulation 61
Non-Contract - Regulations 57 and 58
Multiple Monthly - Regulation 60
Standard Loan - Regulation 53.1
International Loan - Regulation 54
Emergency Goalkeeper Loan - Regulation 55
Academies - Regulation 59
Scholarship Scheme - Regulation 59

4.3.2
The documents of registration and of transfer of registration of a Player must be in the forms prescribed and issued by The League and not otherwise.
