Since Cox hasn't played for Orient this season, appearing for only 2 clubs is not a problem. If he had, then his registration with Leatherhead would have to be accepted by the EFL as an emergency loan rather than the standard loan outside the EFL that it appears to be. EFLnew rules are:

He has played for them. He even scored against Stevenage.

Emergency loans aren't allowed any more, except for Goalkeepers. That was a loophole that allowed players to play for multiple clubs (such as Ben Tomlinson loaned by us to Grimsby, Tranmere and Barrow last season).

Maybe it's two league clubs? Seeing as Cox can play for a non-league club right now, seems they have different transfer rulings anyway?

You're right. That's why I checked and showed the EFL registration options. Thought I remembered him playing but when I checked the O's 2016/17 stats on their website he's not included - I guess because he's no longer their player.

The Ryman League (and the rest of non-league) allow short term (28-93 days) loans in and I guess EFL don't worry about loans out. The key is they need to make an exception for players that are loaned into non-league - and FIFA need to put up with it again.

I assume/hope (or perhaps I don't) that Crawley have checked with EFL before he makes his debut at Leatherhead - otherwise he could only play for Leatherhead..............or perhaps be loaned back to Orient .

We've sent Russel Penn out for a month's loan at Gateshead.

A bit surprising really given we've a pretty small squad, Curle says he wants him to go get first team football. I can't say I've seen enough of Penn on matchdays to judge him, our midfield two of Jones and Joyce has become pretty set in stone and Penn and McKee would be seen as backup, though I think McKee is more an attacking player.

Thinking about it, this EFL exception to the FIFA rule about registration for <3 teams and playing for <2 teams over the 12 months July to June needs to be sorted or it might bite a number of us on the bum. I'm guessing it probably has been resolved but I'd want it in writing if Shaun Harvey has come anywhere near to the process..

A number of us are or will be loaning out players to non-league that we might like to get off the books completely in January with a move to a 3rd club, possibly in L2.

Thing is it's been in force for a number of years, but last season for example Orient had Gnanduillet who played for Chesterfield and Orient (contracted) and Stevenage (loan), so my presumption is loans don't count.

Presumably he signed for Stevenage outside the window on an emergency loan? Emergency loans were outside the scope of the three clubs. That was always a bone of contention for FIFA which is why it's stopped this season.

The most likely explanations are that the three club rule doesn't apply below a certain level, or that Crawley have screwed up.

He was there at the Solihull game, which luckily for us was one of his quieter games. A few others Club were there, including MK Dons.
He had a trial for us last summer and Ian Hendon decided not to offer him a contract with us in the end, wonder if it was a bad move in hindsight?!

Pretty sure it's this and I think anything below Conference North/South is okay. Someone in the NL forum will know for sure if you're bothered about asking though. Usually comes up a few times a season in the transfer threads.

Barnet fans, I'm not sure whether you'll be having Champion back in the next week or so. He's not named him, but the below quotes are clearly about him. Dropped at the weekend and back to winning ways for us (admittedly against far weaker opposition than the previous two).

"We were just looking to resolve the midfield situation. But with regards to recruitment and team selection, you don't always get it right as a manager. You just have to try and get it right more often than not and I think we've done that with the players we've brought in with people like Jonny Margetts, Alex Woodyard, Nathan Arnold, Sean Raggett and Sam Habergham. But you don't always get it right and when you don't, you've got to be man enough to accept responsibility and try and act on it."

That's really strange. He was absolutely brilliant for us in the conference

We have Alexander McQueen training with us.

He was with us last season, but turned down a new deal in the summer. Hasn't managed to find a better deal elsewhere so has came back with his tail between his legs.

I expect we will sign him and I'll be glad. Very raw but plenty of potential to be a good RB at this level.

Interesting development, I wonder with the new transfer rules how many other clubs have been going back to either players that they released, or who rejected contracts. We now have two players training with us one (Asamoah) who we released, and the other (McQueen) who rejected a contract, there's a chance we'll re-sign both.

I'm perfectly happy for Bullitt to come back myself but he'll get a lot of stick from the fans. I remember J.P. McGovern a few years ago not exactly being welcomed back after he had talks with Rotherham that went nowhere, I seem to remember someone went up to him and his family in a local restaurant and subjected him to a load of verbal abuse.

Probably not the correct place for this but it follows on from the story on this thread.

Dean Cox will make his debut for Burgess Hill today against Leatherhead. Leatherhead are managed by Jimmy Bullard of Hull City fame.

That means Leatherhead will be live on Sky before anyone in League Two is.

A poor man's Neil Ruddock that man is.

Latest article makes it sound a bit less likely that Asamoah will be returning, Curle mentioning that he has a lot of catching up to do fitness-wise "I think we've been fair to Derek, and if there's nothing here for Derek and he doesn’t do enough, then I've got to tell him."

Asamoah, McQueen and an un-named trailist who was released by Chelsea are due to start in a friendly at Burnley today.

We've also confirmed the identity of the former Chelsea trialist as Kevin Wright. Fairly predictable as he was described as a left-back and Wright was the only left-back released by Chelsea in the summer.

Have we not signed Matt Green yet Gregory? What can your source tell us?
Did you not read the news I posted on deadline day? It fell through at the last minute, something to do with the time stamp on the documents being after midnight (or 11 or whatever it was). The fee had been agreed, player had passed the medical, agreed terms etc.

It's one of those things, we might revisit it in January as it did leave us light on numbers up front, although not so much now we've signed Asamoah.

Ok, alright, I hear you Greg.

What shall I call you then?
My username will do. Just like I call you by yours, Carver.

But if you want to call me Greg you can, I just thought I'd mention that it isn't actually my name.

I never really thought to call you Greg or Gregory before, just because I presumed your name was a reference to Greg Abbott. But I may as well, feels awkward calling you by an exclamation... and HG just seems so 'meh'.

We need more managerial references I think. Graham Kavanagh is still up for grabs if anyone wants to take on that mantle. Ian Atkins anyone? How about Aidan McCaffrey?

So I understand the Gregory bit. Why the 'hello'?
