Not a Morecambe fan but I see they have cancelled his contract today and released a statement about late payment of player and staff wages, which have now been paid, so looks like perhaps some money issues at Morecambe perhaps. Either way looks likely he is on his way to you but not be able to play until January.

Yeah, doesn't look good at Morecambe. By the sounds of it, we've arranged something so everyone gets paid there this month and we get a player in return...but what about next month, then the one after that?

Another foreign takeover mess, hopefully it gets sorted quickly.

We've cancelled Izale McLeod's contract by mutual consent.

Chr1sties Child - what's going on?!
This has been posted by Seagie on my other forum source of news (http://www.theconferenceforum.co.uk/thread/53116#article1035654)

A good summary of what is supposedly going on was posted on our forum last night:

"There's such a thing as an 'escrow' account. Let's say a deal was done but, given there was still due diligence to be done, then the shares swap hands but the money is held in a third-party escrow account controlled by solicitors who release the funds when every element is met.

Let's imagine a situation where a new owner uncovers a raft of problems and that the situation is much worse than they were told then they can withhold funds. If it is particularly bad they could just walk away from the deal and leave it to lawyers, accountants and insolvency practitioners to sort out the mess."

I guess they'll be hand to mouth until this is sorted. There may have been a lot of skeletons in the cupboard or just enough for the new owners to screw the last bit of value out of the deal - local opinion suggests the former.

Collins is fucking awful. Got to laugh at the Benedicic signing, though. Our recruitment is just absolutely batshit.
Collins has been excellent since he joined the Os, would have been man of the match on Saturday if not for Simpson's brace.

Been pleasantly surprised by him, but that's a hilarious over-exaggeration. He's been decent, and he was about our 7th best player at Colchester. Wouldn't have given it to Simmo either btw.

Conor Henderson played in our fa cup match at the gas on Tuesday and now the manager is saying he has given him a "nice" problem.

Looks as though we may be keeping him.:ffs:

If anyone wants a striker, I've heard that Jordan Bowery will be leaving us in January. He has scored once for us and has six assists, but overall he has been really, really poor for us. Worse than Ollie Palmer (Which takes some serious doing).

Becchetti has apparently banished him from the squad for being shit and he will leave in January.

He's another victim of our current collapse, he did a decent job for Oxford in the second half of last season.

Of course this could all change in January, but right now he is out of favour.

Lads... I'm dying :bg:

We actually got money for Bondz N'Gala! :£ Eastleigh have paid actual real money for him:crazy:

I quite liked him as a person from his interviews and passion on the pitch. But he was a pure liability most games. Wish him well but we've done very well for money to change hands there.

To watch a Bondz N'gala and Reda Johnson centre back pairing for Eastleigh would be worth the admission fee alone!

Christ yeah. The Eastleigh fans are so positive/deluded about it all. They're now clamouring for them to get Akinde off us too :dk: absolute madness

Anyway wish him all the best. Good in the Conference by he's not much more than big slow lump of muscle who takes no touches before holding it up field.

Bondz is a perfectly adequate Conference defender.
Not up to L2 standard but he will do just fine at Eastleigh, as he did for us in the Conference.

Didn't say he wasn't/isn't - at just very strange for a club to pay money for him.

Probably just for fitness until 1st Jan. Someone in the FL will take a punt on him.

Cheltenham fans, Danny Whitehead?

Your end are suggesting you'll cut his loan short in January and will sign for us on loan.

If Bogle is worth £1m then Akinde is definitely worth atleast that too, which is nice to know.

A lot of figures have been thrown about, it's hard to say how much Bogle is worth. I can't see us accepting any less than £1m though regardless of his worth. I think we'll keep him for the time being, getting Bignot in who knows the lad inside and out was important. I won't be surprised if he goes in January but I'm personally expecting him to stay tied up with an extended contract.
