Kemar Roofe went for £3 million.

Yes he's better than both Bogle and Akinde combined, but if those 2 carry on their form, someone could offer silly money

Not a chance is Akinde or Bogle worth 7 figures. Take those tinted glasses off mate.

Relegation alone costs more than £1million in total, so losing him is worth that on top of the lost potential he could bring us.

His ability might not be worth it, but the potential loss without him/gain with him makes him incredibly valuable to Barnet. Same for Bogle at Grimsby.

Akinde is worth what we say he is worth, and largely based upon is value to our club. If others don't agree then it's simple. Don't try to buy him.

To us, he is certainly worth a million.

Are you saying you're a one man team? I get your point but people don't buy/sell on something that may happen in 6 months time. I'm sure Barnet have a figure in mind but remember if a big league one club come knocking you have to think about the players career too.

It has to be the best deal for everyone but if Akinde went for £1m I would eat my hat.

Vardy went for 7 figures with no league goalscoring record. Yes they may not be as good as Vardy but clubs pay silly money for strikers especially ones that score goals. I'd be disappointed if we sold for less than 7 figures if Bogle keeps scoring based on past transfers for similar players/records

Don't get your hopes up. No way will Fenty turn down 500k+, in my opinion. An offer of that size will come down to him and not Bignot too.

We've signed 2 full backs.

Kevin Wright, ex Chelsea.
And Alex McQueen who was with us last season but turned down a new deal in the summer.

Don't know a lot about Wright but I do like McQueen.

I'm pretty happy with these signings, both just one-month contracts but they've both been training with the club and playing in friendlies for a while now, and Curle knows McQueen well so I imagine he feels he's seen enough to warrant a longer contract assuming they can perform in a competitive game.

Both young players, I don't know much about Wright, but he has a good pedigree having come through Chelsea's youth system and earned a professional contract there, he's a young full-back so probably fast.

I think while we have a good spine of experienced and consistent players, we could just do with having some more precocious young players who have talent and no qualms about using it. It's something extra we can use in games where we're well in control and talented players like McQueen can shine.

On McQueen I was happy to see how honest he was as well about having taken some bad advice in the summer.

Being part of a NL team isn't necessarily an indicator of a good player or not either. We got (in the end) £2.1m (rising to £2.3m if Burnley stay up) for Andre with no goalscoring record in the FL either.

Remember the Alan Connell not for sale saga?

David Atkinson reportedly off to Hartlepool in January. PoolieTom Pooliepride Pooliekev Chief Rocka Glasshalffullpools

He's currently out on loan at Blyth. Far too good for Blyth's level but presumably there for game time ahead of his January move.

If it's not just rumour that is, maybe just speculation that if we've signed McQueen and Atkinson hasn't featured he must be on his way out and Hartlepool is closest to his home/

A lot of our fans really like him, and he has a tremendous tackle (very important 'a' in that sentence).

I think, like a lot of similar players, he's been a victim of his own versatility. You're competing for a place at centre-back and then because you're the best player to fill in at right back or midfield while someone else is injured. You get some good game-time in this position but as soon as that player returns you're out of the squad and meanwhile other players have played themselves more into contention in your natural position.

Also you forgot Sestonpoolie and Soup Ladle (fucking hell, there's a lot of Poolies on here)

Our supporters will be absolutely thrilled by this news. He was one of an endless list of Boro players we got on loan last year. He played exactly 0 minutes for us. I believe he came third in our player of the year vote.

Is he any good? Sure we signed him as a centre mid, but he has played in defence for you hasn't he? To be fair, he can't be any worse than some of the current 21 centre halves we have on the books.

Must have been the year before that because he played for us throughout last season and spend the second half of the 2014/15 season with us, all-in-all he's been with us since I think before the start of 2015.

He's good I think, what a lot of fans have pointed out is that he's under 6 foot, which is always a difficulty for a centre-back. When he joined us on loan I think we understood his natural position was in centre-back but then played him at right-back that season... but that was when we were desperate for anyone who could help keep us up.

Last season he was given the number 6 shirt and played as the right hand centre-back of mysterious Curle's 3-5-2, then filling in at right-back and also as a defensive midfielder. He looks competent in any position but I can barely even remember him as a centre-back any more, and not at all as a one of a pair of centre-backs. What I do remember is that he is both strong in the tackle and very precise. This season he was given the number 2 shirt and I think at one point Curle was thinking he would be right-back ahead of Tom Miller, but Miller has been starting. He picked up a knock this season that prevented him going on loan earlier, and think he may also have missed part of last season.

There has been loads of Boro kids on loan and every other one seems to be an Atkinson ....we had an Atkinson last year for two months , he just sat on the bench .....that said , can't be any worse than what we have so send him ASAP

He's an excellent defender, brilliant at timing a tackle and reads the game superbly.

Unfortunately what goes against him is he's too slow to play as a full back, and too short to play as a centre back.
With his ability, he'd be playing in the championship as a centre back if he was 6 foot plus.

I think it is the same Atkinson Mr Glasshalffull. You're probably right shoddy, I think it could've been the start of the 2014 season, went to Carlisle a few months later, could be wrong mind, he didn't exactly stick in the memory.

I would assume if we are signing him, it would be as a right back as everyone who plays there for us seems to get injured so we need plenty of cover. Playing Toto Nsiala, who is the absolute epitome of a player who could only ever play at centre back, at right back on Saturday highlights this! If he is injury prone he will slot into that position no problem.

Sounds like he has promise from what you say, but a couple of attributes that limit him. Although he wouldn't be plying his trade in League 2 if he didn't have any. That said, I have a Blyth supporting friend who said he wasn't up to much on Saturday. No better than Cartwright who he replaced. Didn't get forward at all, but defended okay. They did play with 10 men for an hour, though.

Fantastic news for us Wycombe fans Scott Kashket has signed a contract extension to the summer of 2019,9 goals in 9 games and scoring every 50 minutes on average he's been a real find :bravo:Leyton Orient fans must be mad as hell as we got him for nothing after they dumped him, still as i said before they've got Ollie Palmer

I would be kind of amazed if we went and signed another young done nowt defender, Toto/Bates/Jones/Harrison/Pollock/Donnelly/Wise/Assenso that's 8 centre rarfs right there, I actually forgot the last two existed.

We had Will Hoskins and Jermaine Grandison playing on trial for the U23s last night, can't say I know too much about either though. Seem to recall Grandison being fairly rated at Shrewsbury once upon a time?

At this point there must be more chance of me having a harem of Victoria's Secret models than Will Hoskins passing a medical at a professional football club. In terms of anatomical stability, the normal human is a skyscraper and he's something that Konnie Huq made in 10 minutes on TV with some lollipop sticks and a couple of cereal boxes.

When our left back at the time, Gregor Robertson, got injured at the back end of 2014/15 we ended up playing Toto at right back (with Magnay switching to left back) for both playoff semis. Toto was surprisingly decent there, actually! Although, I seem to recall he was at fault for the only goal we conceded in the tie.

Big moves in the January transfer market at Orient. I understand that we're looking to offload Simpson because he can control the ball and therefore doesn't fit in the side. Atangana also on his way because he tries too hard. Becchetti will also wait until Liam Kelly gets back from injury before banishing him to train with the youth team and, eventually, pay up his contract for no apparent reason.

We will be replacing them with some more injured Belgian second division players whom Ryman Rob Gagliardi has watched 14 seconds of on YouTube. Word on the street is that we're also closing in on re-signing Sonny Pike after his McDonalds advert appeared on a Channel 5 clip show.

Players we've been linked with, one or two spotted watching games/at the ground.

Dexter Blackstock
Lee Frecklington
Luke Murphy
Farred Rawson

And one others have mentioned but I've heard nothing concrete about is making a bid to Chesterfield about Ched Evans....

some good names mentioned and we have money to burn, but ill believe things when i see it.

You'd have to seriously question some of those players' desire for the game if they dropped down to League 2 for money.

Some are still in their best years, can easily play league 1 or higher. Only pure greed would see them drop to this level.

Some very good players listed. As you say linked, so whether there's any truth in them is another matter. We're going to be linked with every man and his dog whilst Steve Evans is in charge.

As for we've got money to burn isn't true. SE has a budget and if you listen to his recent interviews he mentions the fact that it's not a bottomless pit (or words to that effect) and not to waste JR's money.

Still, exciting times ahead for stags fans.
