We need more managerial references I think. Graham Kavanagh is still up for grabs if anyone wants to take on that mantle. Ian Atkins anyone? How about Aidan McCaffrey?

So I understand the Gregory bit. Why the 'hello'?
Surely Workington hero Bill Shankly, suave dresser Bob Stokoe and of course Michael Knighton offer more scope than boring waste of space Ian Atkins?

Are you a Carlisle fan in disguise or something? You always seem to know a lot of stuff about our club that any fan of any other club would not know or care of.

Look at who he supports on his profile for an indication of his knowledge of Cumbrian football generally.

We've asked Chelsea if we can extend Kiwomya's loan. Pretty crucial if we're to be above mid-table tbf.

December 2016: Still waiting to hear from Chelsea.

January 2017: Kiwomya's gone to MK Dons for the rest of the season, ffs.

Sorted.

Because that's a transcript of a conversation I had with him once. I said Hello Gregory. He ignored me, the prick.

Haha thats quite awesome you probably got more out of him than James Phillips ever did... on a related note, Arsene Wenger once stole my pen, and my Mum has danced with Lawrie MacMenemy and had a ten minute conversation with Martin Keown... In the last few months I've had a couple of short conversations with Jabo and one with Curle.

What is Curle like to talk to? Is he approachable?
He's pretty much like he is in interviews, supremely confident. I didn't approach him as such, it was when we were selling tickets out of the CBS in Fisher Street and I went to get my ticket for the FA Cup game in Blackpool, the club office was also operating out of there and Curle was with Mark Ellis presumably doing paperwork as he had just signed. Since the only people in there were me, the lady selling the ticket, Curle and Ellis, he just came along and asked if I was confident that we were gonna win.

What did you say back to him? Did you say anything like you thought that we were going to lose and he doesn't know what he's doing?

I can't remember what I said about the match honestly, we did briefly discuss the fact some Blackpool fans were hoping we wouldn't attend, Curle said he was hoping for as big a crowd as possible.

If were name dropping, before our game with Tranmere last year I saw this legend singing at Blundell Park:

Sanchez Watt and Connor Henderson training at Crawley.

Henderson lives in Crawley (apparently) and has not managed to find a club since Grimsby let him go (after we let him go) and Watt is also without a club after leaving Kerala Blasters. I think Colchester got some money for him but I wouldn't swear to that.

Barnet fans, journalists our end are suggesting that Champion was only allowed to cut his loan spell short here because he's going out on loan again.

Looks like we might be losing Paul Hurst to Shrewsbury... They've made an official approach.

When you say allowed, by whom?

I would have thought it would have suited both parties for him to return to us. You, because by all accounts he performed worse than a shy teenager with Miss World, and us because we need a tackling centre mid back following Togwell's lay off. But then I shouldn't be surprised at our choices on who we need and who is surplus to requirements.

The story from this end goes that we wanted to cut the loan short and then so did Champion when he was told he'd not be getting as much game time as he wanted, however, we'd committed to a 3 month deal and were contributing to his wages, so one of the Clubs would be out of pocket.

In the meantime, Champion/Barnet sorted out another loan deal for him, which meant we could cut the loan short, Champion gets the football he wants elsewhere and you still get part of his wages covered.

Then again, I don't know when Togwell got injured so maybe that changed.

We've signed Michael Collins on a deal till January to bolster our central midfield. Rated him 5-10 years ago, but not now. Seems passed his best and injury prone.

We have 7 central midfielders on our books, but:

Robbie Weir
Nigel Atangana
Liam Kelly - Injured till January
Sammy Moore - On loan at Dover till January
Zan Benedicic - On a deal till January - But clearly not rated
Michael Collins
Fred Moncur - Youngster, but always out on loan - Now on loan at Bishops Stortford.

Pompey have signed Jamal Lowe from Hampton and Richmond. He's scored 17 in 19 from the wing so far this season only 2 leagues below here, which is pretty decent. Was disappointed when we released him as a younger kid, he's really matured and is proving his worth. He'll be a very good signing in time.

Big difference in quality though in those two leagues. It's not like say, a player who's done well in League 2 going to the Championship (and even that can be a big step up, Kyle Dempsey who we sold to Huddersfield is now on loan in League 1)

Collins is fucking awful. Got to laugh at the Benedicic signing, though. Our recruitment is just absolutely batshit.

Definitely is, but even so he's been ridiculously standout down there. He's already lower L2/Higher Conf standard. Not far off being ready for Portsmouth.

See Nathan Jones has said he's keen to sign Alex Gilliead on a permanent deal. Be interesting to see the response from Newcastle, I can't really see them going for it though, I get the impression they see him as someone soon to break into the squad there.

Both have signed for Crawley on very short term deals. It appears as though we want to see them play in the EFL trophy game at Southampton before making our minds up.

Not sure where to put this but to keep Orient fans up to date re Dean Cox.

He scored two and made three goals in the fa trophy 1St qualifying round. Burgess Hill v Beaconsfield.

Frightening site for a full back at that level. Dean Cox on song.

Striker Uche Ikpeazu has signed a 2 year contract and youth team striker Matt Foy has been given a 3 year professional deal.

In other news, No-one knows when/if Barry Corr will be fit to play again and, possibly coincidentally, our "Head of Medical" has move on to pastures new.

Doubt there are any Morecambe fans on here but what is this Tom Barkhuizen like?

Would he have a hope in Hell in stepping up to the Championship, we keep getting linked to him.

Not a Morecambe fan but I see they have cancelled his contract today and released a statement about late payment of player and staff wages, which have now been paid, so looks like perhaps some money issues at Morecambe perhaps. Either way looks likely he is on his way to you but not be able to play until January.
