To be honest, I ignorantly assumed you were still little old Barnet with no money. I mean the Hive is fine, 2 lovely stands, 2 pop ups, but I assumed the land was cheap and you got a good deal selling Underhill. How come Barnet suddenly have a bit of a wad to flash about?

Also, we could definitely afford Akinde, but I just know if we did sign him his form would plummet. We're great at doing that to proven goalscorers.

I don't think anyone in this league could afford him, and he's an absolute gem for Barnet. Will be surprised to see him still there in January.

Ether way regarding our squad, it's poor and badly put together. The midfield is especially weak, evans should be resolving this at the very earliest before anything else - with a decent goalkeeper - shearer would be a good keeper if he could kick and command his box.

Joel Byrom from Northampton appears to be the first midfield signing - good for them in their promotion season last year. I think most of the work will go on in the summer - just avoiding the relegation scrap will do me.

As mentioned he has talent, not as much as people make out, but his fitness levels are horrendous. Back to the Conference North/South I think.

Can never understand players at our level that have fitness issues. As a footballer you're living out a dream many would love to have an attempt at - failing it due to fitness is a real shame for a myriad of reasons. Also this is the last realistic league where you can earn a decent enough wage.

It's a shame it appears evans doesn't seem to want to give him a go until the end of the season to see if he can work his magic - but it looks like he's had more footballing lives than a cat to date

Left back/midfield, he's frustrating can have good good game but plenty of nightmares. Problem with Cedric is he can't do the one thing a defender is supposed to do, nice bloke but not sorry he's leaving
