Official new from Andy Edwards - Jay Simpson has handed in a transfer request and is on the transfer list.

Unofficially - I've heard Luton have made an enquiry.
I'd like this to be true, but I doubt it is.

I don't think wages is an issue with any player at this level to be perfectly honest - we've just spent £20m+ this season on land for stadium projects. And we're still owed a minimum of £400,000 for Andre Gray, rising to £600,000 of Burnley stay up.

£40k for Sim Akinola is a fantastic piece of business.

Look, guys, he's not the end product. He's very raw and there's areas he can improve on. Saying that, he has genuine star quality about him, there's no doubt in my mind he has the potential to be an excellent player at this level, with respect surprised it's only Barnet he's ended up at. Very direct player, can take on his man and can make something happen. Problem is that there are other game where he's gone missing. Have to say I was very surprised he didn't move into the Football League in the summer. If he can find a level of consistency then that is an excellent signing. I would wager he will make Barnet a profit in transfer fees, big fan of his (seen him five times live, for the record).
Yup agree with this, the best opposition player I saw against us last season, very good signing for Barnet that.

Four signings have been confirmed for Mansfield over the past few days. We have signed Arquin the former Notts Co player, Joel Byrom from Northampton, then Jake Kean from I can't remember where and Ben Whiteman from Sheff Utd.

Are these likely to be of the quality that Evans promised to deliver?

Kean was highly rated a few years ago

Looking at his career for 25 years old he hasn't played many games

Wycombe have extend the loan of Chelsea keeper Jamal Blackman until the end of the season :bravo:Very pleased with this as he's a decent keeper keeping 12 clean sheets in 25 games and has saved us a lot of points late on in games with some outstanding saves. This means Scott Brown will go out on loan to Cheltenham with a recall clause should Blackman get injured. Probably good for Brown to get some game time instead of sitting on the bench as he'll always be number 2 as Blackman is a better keeper.

I'm very excited to see Akinola play. Not quite sure that we needed a winger (unless Gambin is off) but I know we've been after him for a while. I've not heard of the other two players but they seem to be highly rated - it shows our ambitions if we're spending £100k on a CB. Think all we need now is a DM and barring any exits, we'll have a fairly decent squad to push on for the rest of the season to try and nick that last playoff space.

Good bit of business that. We won for 4-1 on the day but could have been 10 were it not for Blackman. Great keeper.

Big signing for Wycombe that. We would have scored 3 or 4 if it wasn't for Blackman. Also takes an age to take a goal kick so another plus point for Wycombe.

Did not see this transfer activity coming. Akinola is a very good signing and one that will add immediately to what we have. £100k on a centre back is astonishing, even allowing for our increased transfer kitty, but if he is as good as the last defender that we paid that kind of money for, Greg Heald, also from Posh, then I'll be happy. The reports about the Cardiff lad seem positive too.

All we need now is to clear up who the manger will be. Notice that Sky Bet have pulled the next manager market and Bet Victor have gone 1/3 for Kenny Jackett. That would be a coup.

Conor Grant!!! Get in, obviously not worked for him at Ipswich but he was brilliant for us last season - the only shining light.

As for Evina.... byyeeee. Tragic that were still scraping Dickov's shite off the Keepmoat but this guy is badddd. Classic P.Diddles signing.

Does that mean Dembele is off Barnet fans? We're in for a CB and tried to sign him back in the summer you signed him. I would love to see him partnered with Legge.

He'll need to leave Chelsea if he wants to play Premier League football as he's 3rd in the pecking order, eve so he's on £13,000 a week. :ohm:

Highly doubt it. We sold our 3rd choice CB to Eastleigh so we've only got Dembele and Nelson really (a few others can cover but not that well). I mean, bid enough for him and you'll probably get him, but we won't be looking to sell.

Kean looked pretty average in his few games for us last year, nothing special and nonplussed when he went back.

Despite his contract being up in the summer and refusing a new deal?

Most of our players have options for a 3rd year as standard on there contracts. I've not seen it mentioned that he's refusing a new deal - worrying if so! - is there a link or article I could read on it?

But regardless - we wouldn't be actively looking to sell him. He's our best defender without knowing what this new one is like - and we only have 3 proper CB's in a promising season for us. We wouldn't sell lightly.

I didn't see an article but I'm sure I read somewhere he refused a new deal - It may have been on here but I could be wrong.

Jordan Houghton has extended his loan deal until the end of the season, great news as 3 L1 clubs wanted him.

We've signed Aaron Williams from Posh on an 18 month deal, and Jaanai Gordon from West Ham until EOS on loan. Not sure if either will be able to bang in the goals we need to stay up though.

Toto on his way to Shrewsbury by all accounts, 25K, strange one really, there is a player in there somewhere but like the Grimsby mob said, prone to a cock up a game, wish him well!

Now we're left with two sicknotes and a bunch of untried kids for a measly 25k? Chairman needs to stick his hand in his pocket and replace him.

I genuinely hope he goes on to become a player.
Unfortunately there is no way he is a League 1 standard player, on his day excellent but as said previous way too likely to cock up at a crucial moment.
Cut out them errors and he has a chance I guess, but he made plenty against Conference teams so in League 1 he could get seriously found out.
