Erm, we took that to Donny for a friendly a couple of years ago.
Judging by that then and also taking 3k to Newcastle I'm guessing last week you will have packed out Elland Road seeing as it's only 30 miles away.
So how many did you take there, 6k, 7k......?

The jump from League two to Championship is huge. Plenty of players have scored loads at your level and then struggled at our level. Matt Tubbs being a great example. Scored 30+ for crawley in league two and couldn't get anywhere near that for Bournemouth. He's scored goals in league two and non league, hardly makes it a given he'll score goals in the championship or even league one.

You really don't hold all the cards at all, you've got a player with the carrot of championship football and 10k a week in front of him, you have to sell while he's hot. If he doesn't carry on like he has been you've missed out on £1m+ and I hate to break it to you but no one bigger than the likes of us and Wigan will want him, you're a league two side, a player scoring goals in this division doesn't alert the attentions of 3/4 of the championship.

Not even biting on your away followings hahaha we're bottom of the league, utterly hopeless and taking 3k to Newcastle on the 21st. Trumps anything Grimsby could ever do.

Matt Tubbs is nothing like the same sort of player though. He's a short-arsed goal poacher who contributes little else than goalscoring. Bogle is a far more physical all-round type of forward (a lower league Diego Costa) and there's much more to his game than simply knocking away tap-ins. He's still only 23 and having watched him a lot over the last 18 months I can tell you he's nothing like the finished article yet. That potential is why you'll have to cough up far more than a million to get him. As helpfully demonstrated by Opta, we're not about to give away our most integral player on the cheap:

Also, claiming only Wigan and Rotherham are interested is laughable too - he's been linked to half the Championship in the last few weeks. Offer up £2 million+ and we might start talking.

Shows the true strength of the game in this country, when a land that only covers the total mass of 130,395km2 can handle the combined might of the Rotherham and Grimsby away followings.

When you're on your holidays in the summer, and some pesky foreigner asks you where you're from, remember to answer - "I'm from the land of the Rotherham and Grimsby away followings!" And watch em shrink in awe.

Yeah Matt Tubbs was better at this level. Tyrone Barnett was similar to how you describe Bogle and scored 20+ in that same season with crawley. Done fuck all in the leagues above, kidding yourself if you think it's a given he can cut it at any level.

All that stat about Bogles shows is how wank you are without him. I'd imagine it's very similar for Danny Ward our number 9, difference is he's doing it in the championship.

He's been linked with teams but how many have bid? Our bids not exactly prompted anyone else to bid has it? You won't get £2m for him. Like I said £1.2m will get him.

The good thing is we have Bignot now, I'm convinced he will convince Bogle to stay until at least the summer to help his development just as he convinced him to stay at Solihull for another season when we fist tried to sign him.

If Bignot wasn't our manager then Bogle would probably have already gone if the 850k bid was real, as it is I think it will take silly money to prize him away before the summer, and I wouldn't be surprised if he was still here come the end of Jan. A manager he likes and fans who adore him, he has no reason to jump up 2 divisions right now, especially to one no bigger than us and likely to be relegated. In the summer it will be a different story, but I highly doubt he will think this is his only chance right now, he will be thinking he can score 30plus, develop more and increase his value and move somewhere bigger and better than Rotherham.

DIDN'T ROTHERHAM get knocked out of the league cup at home against MORECAMBE and concede 5 goals to them? As if anyone would want to play for that shower of shite who are falling so hard back to where they fucking belong.

No wonder this pussy is posting on the L2 forum, he wants to get to know us all in time for the season after next.

Bogle will want it not you.

Must be on 2k max with you lot, he'd earn 5 times that amount with us.

No matter how much the fans love him and how much Bignot rims him, money talks.

Yeah and as I said he will get a bigger and better deal in the summer, no point in jumping to the first desperate club in the championship especially when they will be relegated anyway.

Bignot will convince him he is better here and to worry about it in the summer, and we won't accept a bid for him till then, unless it's an offer we can't refuse.

Yes I am and we're the ones that sent you down to this bloody league for so many years.

You're also just a bog standard football league club really and there is no getting away from that fact.

Just being honest with you boy.

So many years? We were here for 5 seasons mate.

Never said we're anything more but we're a damn sight bigger than your lot and Grimsby.

You're living in a fucing dreamworld mate.

January transfer windows are when clubs are at their most desperate.

Bogle will move this month, be it to us or to Wigan and he'll not regret leaving Grimsby/Cleethorpes potentially the biggest shithole in Britain and that's a lot coming from somebody who lives in Rotherham.

Actually you have convinced me, maybe he should indeed go to Rotherham. Secure an inflated Championship salary and then play at his natural level in League 1 next season, before becoming the best paid league 2 player the year after.

I'll stick up for Matt Tubbs. It was not his fault it didn't work at Bournemouth. He signed for his boyhood club and landed with Perry Groves as a manager. He then got a bad injury as Eddie Howe returns as manager. Howe saves the team from being relegated and with pretty much the same squad gets them promoted the next season. Tubbs was not a championship player though. Not quite quick or strong enough.

As for Barnett! I have no idea what happened with him. He was an excellent player for Crawley, moved to Posh and Bristol City and was not very good.

Bogle looks a good player though.

I'm getting fed up of this big billy bollocks Rotherham crap. A traditional Fourth Division side is all they are, and will always be in the eyes of footy fans.

Now, where's this improved offer that was supposedly going to to be tabled today? You know, 'I got my sources' and all that?

We're traditionally a league one club actually but let's not get facts get in the way.

Wait till the reserve game has finished. Any coincidence we're playing Grimsby today ;)

Yes. Yes it is. It's a re-arranged game. The original game was set at the beginning of the season so unless you have a Mystic Meg in your ranks...

In recent years you were there for a season, you didn't join the league the 30's. Poor non league outfit.

You have been riled and bit btw, re affirming my status as the number 1 WUM on here.

In a shambles? The only team in the Championship to not be in debt. We might have been wank on the field so far but we're far from being a shambles off it.

You won't, you really won't.

You're right, Rotherham are anything but a shambles. What that small club you support is currently achieving is a footballing miracle and should be admired. Hats off to you.
