Bad news: Tanner and Garita's loans ended today. Good news: Tanner and Garita's loans extended until end of season. :bravo: This is good business for us.

We've released Derek Asamoah.

Probably the right decision. He hasn't been able to make an impact like he did last season.

Now we must replace him with someone better, I wonder who though.

Any names?

I understand that Curle has different targets now and has moved on from Green.

Green's agent had been in touch December time in an attempt to revive the interest, but the club told him that we won't be pursuing his client anymore. That ship has sailed.

Karleigh Osborne our fifth CB left today for Kilmarnock where he has signed a two year deal. When he joined I thought he would our best defender, but for whatever reason it has not worked out. So wish him well, but has saved a bit of money for us.

Sad to see him go but he was too inconsistent. On his day he can destroy the opposition, sadly that's not been often enough although a manager with a bit more patience might see him come good.

Gambin promises so much but delivers little. He is technically very good but can be bullied out of a game very easily. He'll have a great game once every three months. Runs in to blind alleys very often. Sad to see him go because he's been with us since day dot but needs a change of scenery to re-invigorate himself. Hopefully we use whatever money it is to replace.

"Technically very good but can get bullied" central midfield it is then!

In all seriousness I'm not quite sure where he fits in. Unless I'm mistaken he is a wide player, which isn't something we really use, in the truest form in any case, and haven't all season.

He can play on the wings or, in my opinion, would be great behind the striker.

Sorry to see him go but he wasn't getting a game for us, for whatever reason, and he was going in the summer anyway for nothing.

I think if you give him the time and run of games he needs he'll be a success at Luton. I just hope Nana can ably replace him long term.

Even behind our front 2 I think he'll be at best a second choice to Gray and longer term when he is back, McGeehan.

Could be amazing of course but on face value it just seems a bit of an odd one to me.

Might need to move a few to get a decent holding player which should have been the priority this window.

So who are we after now HG? What can your imaginary source tell us?

I haven't actually heard anything from my source re any potential deals, so I've nothing to tell you I'm afraid.

Not imaginary, just for the record.

Fuck this shit, may as well put it in here. Apparently half of our squad is up for sale (Whats left of it)

The latest rumour I've heard is that we might be selling striker Jordan Bowery to Crewe.

Apparently deals have been agreed to bring Osborne and Asante from Solihull, nothing official yet but that's what I've heard.

Players from Solihull Motors?

Well then there's at least one club I won't be worried of catching us this season.

Knowing Jones, we're probably just going to abandon the concept of central midfield entirely and play Gambin and D'Ath as the middle part of the diamond.

At the risk of sounding negative, my immediate reaction to those two signings is that Jones hasn't learnt a single thing from our midfield issues. Maybe I'm doing him a disservice and he is planning a tactical swap, but hard to see how he'd do that without dropping a striker and with Marriott bang in form that would be madness.

Hopefully we are actively trying to move on the likes of McQuoid, Banton, Olly Lee now, maybe even CMS although Marriott says he's a great influence on the younger players (I'd add Jordan Cook too in a heartbeat but that's just wishful thinking).

Jordan Bowery joining us is the weirdest signing we've made for a while if it's true.

1 goal in 17 appearances for a relegation rival is nothing but cause for concern if we're going to pay actual money to sign him.

We should be very active in the transfer market this week. Harry Davis, Danny Hollands and Ryan Lowe are expected to leave the club and there could be another outgoing or two from what's been going round.

Nah, anyone who gets beat 3-0 at home against Hartlepool is no threat.

Where do you think they got Omar Bogle from?

Yup agreed, we'd be even less of a threat if we lost to someone really shite like say, Newport maybe?

Yeah but that was away and on an allotment.

At home against Pools is worse, much much worse.

Bowery isn't as bad as our fans make out, he has a solid number of assists and he looks better as the slightly deeper forward. Saying that he isn't great and I doubt would make a good signing for Crewe - if I was in charge I'd release him when his contracts up and watch him sign for Bromley - however in our set up where there's so little of anything resembling attacking or creative football it's a bit hard to fully comment.

Fuming if we bring in Bowery to replace Lowe.

In fact, the whole idea of letting Lowe go stinks whilst people dress it up as a good idea or "no big loss". Our top scorer & most experienced player, whilst in a relegation battle to stay in the Football League. Only Crewe.

Can only echo what my fellow Bees have said: Has potential, but has never really fulfilled it. Get him playing consistently and you have a very good player on your hands, but consistency has been his problem.

If it's true what someone has put on our board that we got a six figure fee plus a sell-on then I would be very happy with that.

Bowery is dreadful.

Rumours on our forum is we're trying to sign Pelly Ruddock.
