Luke Coulson signs from Eastleigh for an undisclosed fee. Highly rated apparently and replaces the departed Luke Gambin.

Going the other way is Sam Muggleton. We must have some dirt on Allen given who has gone out and who has come in.

I don't think you appreciate how much Muggleton will be a loss. With Batt out injured also I think you've just fucked your play off chances.

OHHH yes he will!
Not this time. It's fairly obvious now that the chairman was glad to see the back of him.
Thanks for the promotion MA but now we'd like to watch some football.

Watch football in L2?

I don't think that's ever happened.

Not seen our super slick outfit then have you.

Tisdale is a footballing and tactical genius.

I did actually but you still got beat.

In this league you've got to dog it out simple route 1 stuff.

You gave Ricky Holmes away to Northampton for nowt last year.

It was actually a couple of years back when we kicked Holmes out so he could spearhead the Cobblers charge to the title the following season. Fantastic move by club stalwart/inept manager (delete where applicable) Andy Awford.

Awford first sidelined him from the team then shipped him out on loan as a plan to get rid of the 'dead wood'. Great days.

We do have some pretty good players who can't get in the team so I wouldn't be surprised to see one or two leave and do well elsewhere.

Like doing well at a rival L2 promotion chasing team and helping them going up instead of you?

Signed Nicke Kabamba from Hampton & Richmond. Him and Jamal were scoring goals for fun a few leagues below and formed a good partnership. Signing them both will help them both settle too.

I agree, there's too much tendency for managers to try and set teams up with fancy formations. Indeed, Tisdale has fallen into this trap in the past with playing people out of position.

We're playing some wonderful stuff at present but it probably isn't sustainable but we will continue in the same vein. I'd happily swap neat triangles for promotion.

I'm amazed you lot dont in general worship Tisdale. He seems from afar to have worked wonders for your Club.

I think Tisdale's a pretty decent manager, but I'm hardly qualified to rate him as they're not my side and obviously nobody's more qualified to judge him than the Exeter fans. But yes, looking from the outside, it does indeed look like he gets some undeserved stick from their fans. Especially if they really have one of the smallest playing budgets in L2 like some people believe.

We have signed Osbourne on a 2 and half year deal and Asante on an 18 month deal, both from Solihull

Osbourne looks like a belting signing, Asante I'm not as excited about but has had a pretty decent time infront of goal.

Just need some wingers and another CM.

might be able to afford a better playing budget if they didn't have the highest paid manager in the division.

This.

He's on a big wedge and to be honest, although our budget was reduced this season, he's had a pretty good budget to work with. The likes of Holmes, Wheeler, Olejnik and Reid won't be on peanuts.

I can see why Tisdale must seem appealing to other fans as he has brought stability but it's been a case of familiarity breeding contempt as the locals have grown increasingly weary of largely dreadful home form in the last few seasons.

That's said, he's certainly found his mojo in recent weeks and you have to take your hat off to him as to how he's turned things around to take us from bottom of the league in late November to being part of the playoff race.

Seen a YouTube vid of Asante's goals and he looks absolute class, certainly has an eye for goal and looks a natural finisher.

Youtube video proves nothing :ffs:

Anyhow sounds like a couple of decent players provided they make the step up. One Solihull fan claimed Osbourne is the best player to ever play for them and will go higher than lge 2!

Finally rumours abound that we are signing another midfielder tomorrow, someone from this division who has been ever present for his club last 2 seasons.

Wishful thinking!!

We couldn't afford him, nor would Cambridge sell him, doesn't he have a long contract with Cambridge?

More likely to be Clements from Mansfield.

Wishful thinking I know, but just trying to think of a League 2 midfielder who's been an ever present for the last 2 seasons.

Chris Clements at Mansfield would fit in with the Mickey Moore connection.

Alan Dunne is the next to be released by ourselves. His form was really, really poor for us. He never seemed to be right mentally.

We are down to 23 senior pros - However, 11 of those are players who have come from our youth team and in their first season of professional football . :animatedf:

I've also heard Wycombe are trying to sign Michael Collins from us, his current deal expires with us on 28th January. He'd be mad to stay with us, mad.

I was thinking the same. He doesn't seem to be in favour with Evans and didn't even take part in the reserve game yesterday, where Evans was giving game time to those not in his starting XI.
