"The Stags have won the race to sign the ex-Rochdale goalkeeper, and beat a host of clubs in League One and two clubs in the Scottish Premier League."

Yes, of course. SPL teams love L2 and Conference players!

Well he's league one standard more than two, surprised he's dropped a division. And theres a few decent players in the SPL that have played in league two/one. The standard of the bottom half of the SPL and the scottish championship really isn't great.

Each player we sign is fantastic according to the OS. I would like it if they started reporting it honestly, 'he's alright, he gets up and down.'

Green is exactly the type of player I'd like to see partner Ameobi next year. Pacey forward playing off the shoulder is exactly what we need but we will probably have Jon Sloth Stead

Yeah, it's a running joke in the NL bit is that a Motherwell or someone end up signing a handful of NL freebies.

If Hartlepool had the cash, I suspect Greeny would end up there with his missus wanting him to go to North East

Supposedly, Leicester City have made a £400,000 bid for James Justin.

No where near enough.

Greens had 74 shots this year and scored 10 in the league.... He really does miss a lot of chances, similar ones that he used to tuck away no problem.

I think he'd be alright at a bottom half/mid table side like county or grimsby. Id like to see him get a league club and continue to do alright for himself, he's a legend here for whats he's done.

Agreed, it's cringeworthy at times, like we're signing Messi each time.

Like you, i'd like it to state more realistic terms. I've a Dale fan work with me who confirmed they offered him much reduced terms, and he's localish to us, so makes sense

Never heard of him before I don't think, so will reserve judgement but it will be nice to finally fill the void left when Marriott retired.

I think Lincoln and/or County should have a more than decent shout of the playoffs next season

Hardy falling in to the Trew trap of saying we've got a signing ready for tomorrow...

I know we're chucking everything at signing Grant permanently, but still can't see it.

Just on a slightly different issue, I was briefly reading on a quote from Hardy saying that as a club you are losing £1.5m a year. how?

Not in the slightest bit a dig, just curious.

Trew ran us appallingly, basically. Hardy's targeting five years I think for us to get close to breaking even and has made a decet start on corporatising things behind the scenes. It's put a few noses out of joint but really the only way forward for a club in a big city with our facilities.

Need to sort the recruitment out too. Trew was far too willing to throw big wages at journeymen but never to pay a fee and take a punt on a youngster. Judge and Bialkowski were the only two players with resale value we had in his entire time and he let one run his contract down and the other go for a pittance..

Need to start being willing to invest in players like Grant. Yes he may cost a small fee now but he appears to want to join and will be worth seven figures within a year or two.

A few Scunny fans saying that Neal Bishop could be on his way to Mansfield. At 35 I was sceptical but looks like he's played in nearly every game for them this season so can't be bad.

Bishop was superb for us when we won this league and I wouldn't mind him coming back here to cover O'Connor's year out injured.

Only worry would be that his game was always about energy and covering loads of ground, he was never the best on the ball and at 35 his legs are going to have to go soon.

Do the County fans not find his antics on Twitter embarrassing? He's worse than MacAnthony.

Yes, basically. He needs to know when to shut up.

The only thing I'd say for him is that he is at least willing to front up, stick with and explain his decisions on there. The problem with the Trews' use of social media was that they were more than happy to lap it up when people agreed with them but went completely silent if they didn't.

Scored 12 in 26 this season and 16 last season just doesn't put enough work in for me. A different set up could suit him.

I heard today that their scouting team were at KR on Saturday and left when he picked up his injury.

I think people are still a bit split on Farman still despite his improvements.

We'll definitely have two 'keepers this season, which is something we've not done because the managers we've had never really do so and because there's only 5 subs in the NL.

For me, we probably need a number 1 with Farman's kicking and shot stopping but someone else's ability to come for crosses.
