Wouldve been wiser to bring fresh bodies into the mix in January when there were a few injuries creeping up, instead of keeping a small squad (of lesser quality). Obviously the injuries have been unfortunate, the two key ones at Luton in December contributed greatly to our loss of form in my opinion, but even so, the team is a mess.

Don't know if its actually been mentioned on here anywhere, but before the Newport game on Tuesday, Nathan Jones signed a new 3-year contract at Luton Town.

Excellent player at this level and I'd take him here in a heartbeat, probably just the standard HITC bullshit mind.

Good player, works very hard and twenty goals is never to be sniffed at but...

He signed for us on a three year deal at the start of the season. It was said he wanted the stability as he has a young family so why would he leave after a season but...

His family is in the Midlands and living away from your family is never easy but...

Three year deal, great attitude and twenty goals means he will not be cheap.

Well our promotion chances have taken another blow. We've now lost Matt Macey, who's been recalled by Arsenal to sit on the bench.

There really needs to be some flexibility with the loan rules when it comes to goalkeepers.

Barnsley have made a £750k bid for Marquis, if we accept that then we have zero ambition

Notts annual cull has begun with Thierry Audel , defender, being released and two YT players. More to follow I'm sure.
Audel is tall , rangy and committed. Positionally awful and probably Conference bound where he'd be a shoe in for a first team spot and do well for someone.

Although I won't be here much longer, it has been revealed that we're in discussions to sign two of our youngsters who's deals expire at the end of the season onto longer contracts: Sandro Semedo and Michael Clark.

Whilst it would appear the only senior pro so far to even be considered is Michael Collins who has an offer on the table apparently.

None are expected to sign in our current state.

I've also heard that both Colchester and Stevenage are interested in signing Paul McCallum from us - Colchester have been keen all season.

Also heard that Luton are interested in Gavin Massey as well - But thats just very early speculation.

would not be surprised if Nolan/Thomas took a couple off Orient - Massey and Koroma (Semedo too?) are the obvious ones but I'm sure there'd be competition for both.

Any teams in need of a goalkeeper? Our second choice in Craig MacGillivray has left as he wants first team football. I'm 90% certain he'll end up in this league. He's alright and is only 24 so could still develop into a very solid keeper.

Orient cant afford for us to negotiate a fee. He'd be a (good) freebie.
He'd be a free transfer anyway I believe! - All of our senior players who are still under contract all have relegation release clauses in them - Which we all believe will allow them all to leave for free in the summer.

We had a similar incident with Shane Lowry in the 2015 summer, he left on a free from us to join Birmingham after he triggered his relegation release clause in his contract.

The likes of Liam Kelly, Robbie Weir, Tom Parkes, Yvan Erichot, Jordan Bowery and Teddy Mezeague are all believed to have similar triggers along with Gavin Massey.

We need to ship out all the big earners anyway as Becchetti has been paying the above decent money for this level.

We have a deal in place to sign Lee Angol from Posh, which was negotiated when we took him on loan a couple of months ago and was dependant on promotion. Obviously depends what the player wants to do.

Defender Sean Raggett has been linked with Milwall and West Brom over the last couple of weeks. Tony Pulis has been to a couple of our games watching him.

Danny Pugh has agreed a new deal at Vale Park (1 Year) after joining in January. OK signing, decent squad player and plenty of experience.

Is Raggett decent or all carried on the wave of the cup run ?
Bit of difference between the Premier and Millwall ( though poss Championship ) .

No, Raggett's the real deal. He was being watched by PL Clubs at Dover a year or two back (Palace and Everton I think).

I'd not have pitched him at PL level, mind, although he's only young in defender terms at 23. He's a Pulis type of defender, though. Dominant in the air, never outmuscled and a big threat attacking set pieces. He's not overly quick but has enough pace about him not to be caught out and I've still not worked out whether he's left or right footed, tbh. He's strong with both.

He absolutely breezed through last season, like one or two others in our team.

We've been watching him all season doubt we will get him if there's prem interest but it seems he will be on his way.

I thought Woodyard was the one you were looking at.

You tried to sign Woodyard on a free in the summer but he came here.

I doubt you'll end up either, tbh.

More than likely unless we can guarantee first team football more than others in for them. The other attraction would be that we're not that far from Lincoln so they wouldn't have to move

I wouldn't be too disappointed if he signed but I'm not sure I want him.

The Cowleys usually go for young and hungry players on their way up so in that regards he doesn't really fit our usual profile. Just because we were interested in January doesn't necessarily mean we'll be interested now as our circumstances have obviously changed. Back at the turn of the year we just wanted to sign a quality striker who would help us get over the line hence our interest in Green who has obviously been there and done it at the top of the Conference. But we ended up with Peterborough's Lee Angol on loan and he did fairly well, scoring 5 in 11 games.
