Two days without signing a player now, Robins out!

Still need some wingers, full backs and another striker imo but good to see us assembling a squad quickly, and a decent looking one at that.

Impressed with Artells business so far Raynes and Bowery are very decent signings. For once I'm suitably impressed.

Can tell you ain't a footballer then, because they don't give a fuck about that.

Haha, if I were a footballer, I wouldn't be posting on here.

Are you a footballer then as you are clearly in the know they footballers don't give a fuck about playing in front of two men and his dog.

Does this mean George Ray is off? I've heard we're in for him and notice he still hasn't signed that deal.

Jabo is a really good signing for Cambridge, he was getting back to his best for us at the end of the season there so I'm fairly gutted he turned us down but good luck to him, great bloke he is!

Yes well that's just your opinion and a poor one of that.

Ellis has been utter shite for us.

His last performance for us (Colchester away) was quite possibly the worst centre back performance I've seen since the Mike Edwards horror shows.

We're being strongly linked to Liam Sercombe now but also sounds like Charlton have taken a serious interest, can't see us winning that battle if they firm up their interest, but fingers crossed as he would be an excellent addition for us (including going some way to replace the likely loss of McGeehan's goals). Him and a more defensive minded player would give our midfield a whole different complexion.

Signing for Hibernian for £100,000 it seems.

Don't think that plus his wage demands with the interest would provide us with value for money anyway.

Welcome Jabo!

Good signing and thought he would be a useful one for us, but I didn't realise that he's only scored 1 in 5 throughout his career and is in his 30s.

Last season was only the second time he got into double figures in his career.

...and considering I keep being accused of peddling "fake news" on here, I see the tittle tattle of us signing Lee Camp has quietened down.

Most of his career has been League 1. Think he'd spent 10 years at that level before signing for us. Since dropping back to League 2, he's hit 17 goals in each of the 2 seasons.

He's an excellent signing for anyone in this league. Cambridge are lucky to have him.

Has he? Soccerbase tells me he scored 14 this season. Wikipedia wasn't my friend earlier.

Signing a new deal with us as soon as he gets back from Marbella.

Dave Artell wants him to be our captain and his tweets suggest he'll be remaining at the club too. I can't see him letting Artell down when Artell saved his career from the potential scrapheap that Davis put him on.

Very happy we've managed to grab Raynes from Carlisle though. Echoes the signing of Dave Artell from Morecambe 7 years ago who would eventually lead us to promotion in his 2 year playing career here. Hopefully will be the man who can improve our abysmal record of defending set pieces because if we improve that I'm confident we can mount a promotion or playoff challenge next season.

Raynes was Harry Davis' replacement. For years we were fed bullshit by his own Dad that he's the experienced commanding CB the club had when he was nothing more than a young, losing CB from the Academy who was given far too many chances despite spending long periods of time injured and making a plethora of mistakes when he actually made the pitch. Add to the fact that Perry Ng is pretty much a replacement for Jon Guthrie and now all we need is Ray to sign and a replacement for Ben Nugent, likely to be a young PL/Championship lad on loan...

Finally, we have the experienced CB we need. I don't expect him to be like Franz Beckenbauer and he'll make mistakes but he's a far more appealing option than Harry fucking Davis that's for sure.

I stand corrected, but it's still not bad considering a lot of his apps this season have been off the bench.

But he did get 17 prev season

Raynes was probably the best of a bad bunch.

Nice enough lad and sticks his head in where it hurts but easily replaceable. He was ready to sign for Salford until Crewe came in.

Jabo will easily hit 15 next year given a decent run in the team.

He started off this season slowly all things considered but like others have mentioned, he single handedly dragged us into the play-offs this year and isn't your typical 30 odd year old.

Wonder what we offered him in comparison to Salford...

Believe Salford are spending 2-3 times more than what Fylde spent last season which is absolutely worrying because I don't want those horrible bastards on their board to buy success, can't stand a single one of those Mancunian tossers.

He'd be a mug if he didn't want to play for Dave Artell though that's for sure!

Nicky Maynard the latest rumour. One deal done to be announced and one close we've offered a sell on fee if we sell on to the club so assume a youngster or a non league player who's done well.

Be very interesting if Maynard ended up at your lot, the lad's crocked beyond repair though now and I don't think he'll ever be prolific again now he can't stay fit and he's lost most of his pace.

Real shame though. If he didn't break his leg at Bristol City 7 years back he'd be banging them in the Prem now I'm pretty sure.

I wanted a centre forward who would play around 35 games for us and score around 15-20 goals. I was prepared for us to chuck half a million at such a player if Berry went for twice that. Since we've got a player for nothing who I think will achieve pretty close to that I'm pretty happy with Ibehre.

Ibehre can be classed as nothing else but a good signing in my book.

Nigel Atangana to Cheltenham. Desperately limited lower league clogger who - surprisingly considering he's just there to kick other players and pass the ball five yards - is wildly inconsistent. He'll be fine in the bottom half of League Two.

On the plus side, his name is really fun to say. Try it. Aaaatttttaangaaaaaaanaaaaa! Fun.

The "League 2 Paul Pogba" according to Gary Johnson.

You lot still after Rob Sinclair?

How do Cambridge have £500k to spend on 1 player?
