Grimsby linked with our ex centre back Danny Seaborne.

Not a bad player but somewhat limited. Will do well enough in L2.

Good, solid signing for you. 31 apps for us last year with 2-3 months off injured. Of all the players we released he was probably the only one I'd have been on the fence about keeping-would have been a fringe squad player in L1 though. Battles hard in the middle and a good league 2 player.

Sounds good, we really do need a good solid CM now Matty Dolan's gone.

Cods after Nicky Maynard, although I don't think they're too hopeful on that one.
Has that come from anything more concrete than that 5 potential strikers article on the GY Telegraph site?

I agree, he was the one not to get a contract I thought might. No offense, but I thought he would go for a team generally considered to be promotion seeking. He is a good player and will give you strength in midfield. You have definately upgraded on whomever you had before. Started a bit slow, got into his stride and was MOM when he got injured, and then struggled a bit to get match time because we had upgraded in January. He was a reasonably good player in a good team, suspect he will be a good player or better for you. Wish him well.

I'm pleased with the comments I've heard so far, he sounds like a shrewd signing by us which is something we're not known for.

Two League 2 promotions in the last two years sounds like this is his level, if we can at least get into the top half it would be an improvement.

We still not signed anyone. :(

But don't forget, slow and steady wins the race.

Apparently we will have some trialists training with us next week....Hope they do better than Will Hoskins and Alex Fisher, whoever they turn out to be.

The Carlisle v Swindon 'curtain raiser' is currently the battle of the no signings.

On our London Reds Watsapp group this morning agreed that we need 12-13 new players to be ready for the new season. Plenty for Mr Flitcroft and Futcher to do!

He has been in teams that know how to win. He is not fancy, but very steady, if you have flair players he will help them and he will protect your defense. I thought he would go to a Mansfield, Exeter or Wycombe.

Graham Kelly an Irish U19 International from Sheff United signs, left back looking to develop to challenge for a spot in the first team so sounds more a development one.

Guy who seems to be ITK on twitter reckons we've completed a few things today. Namely than Potts and King have signed contracts, McGeehan has signed for Barnsley and we've bought someone in. Always take ITK posters with a pich of salt although Potts deal has just been announced. He also reckons the James Collins deal is currently not a heppening.

Vincenti was the worst player I've ever seen play for us. He went on to do alright with Rochdale though. Must be David Holdsworth's management, We had Steve Cook at the same time who looked awful and he's now a regular in Bournemouths defence.

I vaguely remember him. I too was surprised he carved out a decent career.

A Sheff Utd fan I was speaking to was under the impression he might be joining Mansfield. Apparently he is a very promising player.

Chris Robertson, ex Vale and AFC Wimbledon Centre back. For 3 years we have been screaming out for a permanent experienced defender and now we have one.

Vale fans, remember much about him?

Hopefully means he's heading to the Ricoh

If it's the twitter guy I'm thinking of I am 95% sure he is actually about as ITK as Kenny is, but for whatever reason is really desperate to come across as if he has an inside line on the club. He strikes me as the type to make either really vague or really late pronouncements that might give the impression he knows more than most. This lot above being a prime example:

- Nathan Jones explicitly stated yesterday that Potts and King would sign this week, Potts probably tomorrow (i.e. today)
- Nathan Jones explicitly stated yesterday that we would be announcing a new signing this week
- McGeehan signing for Barnsley this week was widely announced in our local press with one of the papers claiming to have an inside source on the deal, claiming it would be confirmed on Friday (Jones denied this but still, not exactly a new rumour)
- Collins not signing for us was almost guaranteed by an actual, provenly genuine ITK poster on Outlaws (West Side Vinny) weeks ago "unless something drastic changes" (or words to that effect).

Maybe I am completely wrong and he really does have an "inside" source... but if that's the best his source can provide it's a bit pointless, as anyone who reads Outlaws/Hatters News would be expecting all of that stuff anyway.

Been confirmed that Dan Potts has signed his new 1-year contract.

He had a good end to last season which probably swung it, but considering the calibre of player we've been looking at this summer, he's probably lucky to be given the new deal.

Wins a lot in the air. Alright with the ball at his feet but is absolutely horrible to watch when a pacy winger or striker runs at him. I remember him getting torn to shreds by Kevin Lisbie down at Leyton Orient. Scores the odd goal too.

It really wouldn't surprise me if we went in for Maynard...Tisdale has a liking for strikers who were once good, but now are past it.

He won't be going to you either and that's also a fact.

Good in the air but slow chips in with 3 or 4 goals a season. Should be good for this level as he's played most or all his career that I'm aware of in league one.
