I genuinely have no idea who you've signed other than Scott Laird, who is really good, and the kid from Forest who I've never seen.

Woolery was terrible for us but he was a lot younger and in a higher league. He may have improved a lot but £200k+ is huge for any player in this league.
Just seen on FGR forum that the player they offered over £200k for is off to Swindon instead.

We need to get him tied down to a 3-year contract. And I didn't think I'd be saying that a month ago. Even in one game you can see the improvement even from May.

That would be ideal for sure but not sure he would agree to it, especially if he has a good start to the season.

Also as an aside - being from Bournemouth I saw one of the local journos down there tweeted that Harry Cornick was the player Jones might be trying to sign.. not a clue who he is but wikipedia says he is a winger/forward type of player which maybe adds some weight to Vassell perhaps being on his way?

Yeah. Apparently Woolery is signing for us Monday. Know nowt about him, but the drink-your-own-bath water FGR fan(s) seem to rate him

Stoke were scouting our centre back Raggett yesterday, a case of when not if he leaves now.

I'd have been delighted to get Woolery but that did look like a mad amount of money that we could probably do with spending further back in midfield.

Of course - although the majority of you were creaming your jeans when you thought you were signing him.

All that local natural yoghurt in your neck of the woods was, in fact, collective jizz

Am I seeing the start of a rivalry here?

Funny you should say that, have you not seen a load of your lot who are wanking themselves silly on twitter about signing him?

Thing with Kaiyne is, he's got electric pace which terrifies opponents, but it was only in the play offs where he really started to show an end product. What made him a crowd favourite were those two goals at Wembley, if he carries on in that vein he'll do well for you.

At the end of the day he did only get 4 goals in 19 games for us in the national league last season, so reckon we'll cope without him. Especially given the price tag.

I'm calling bullshit on this one, but £1m bids from Birmingham City and Bristol City for Isaac Vassell. With the player out of contract in 10 months.

Eek.

I'm slightly concerned this is going to grumble on and on and when an Agent starts sticking his nose in trying to get him to refuse to play, that's telling you something concrete is going on somewhere. I'm just glad Raggett isn't a prick and took his 'advice'.

Thommo said on commentary that were quite a few scouts watching him.
His lovely agent (same as John Terry I'm told) will desperate for his client to move before the window, be a huge shame if he doesn't move, the parasite!

I think he's also involved with Kyle Walker.

Don't think we'll sell at that price but if they up the offer we may have to, doesn't sound like he'll be signing a new contract any time soon reading between the lines of Jones' post-match comments. It'd be a real shame to lose him so soon.

I can understand him having his head turned though. Asides from the obvious lure of Championship football and money, there must be a small part of him wondering how many games he will start when Hylton and Collins are both fit. This time last season Jack Marriott had similar interest from Championship clubs, we convinced him to sign a new deal instead, he had a poor season and ended up on the bench for most of it and then was flogged to a decent but not exactly exciting club. He might think that he won't get a better shot than this. Bristol also a lot closer to home for him too.

Do we let him go now for £1m or let him run the contract down, not sign a new one and allow him to leave for nothing in 10 months time.

I have a feeling we may have to go for the former.

Just wondering if there are any players in Lutons squad that are NOT worth 1M?

Every time there's talk of somebody looking at a Luton player it's always 1M or above, what the fuck is this team doing in the depths of the football league ffs?

Don't look at us, we're not bidding for these players. Market rate and the need not to sell.

We did Crawley up like a kipper with Collins quite frankly.

We've agreed a deal with Blackpool for the sale of Harry Pell - the fee is £200k rising to £250k.

I've said many times I'd snap your hands off for £150k because he's certainly not a League 1 standard player.

The money, should he agree to the move (and he will because he's told the club he wants to go), then we've been told the whole fee will be put into the playing budget, which is just as well because we need some depth to our squad desperately.

You definitely need depth, I was surprised to see you couldn't fill the bench at Morecambe.

Bizarre that Swindon are seemingly paying over £100k more than FGR.

Like Chris says, good player but not 300k+ good from what I saw. He did improve the more playing time he got though so maybe he'll be justifying that price tag by the end of the season.

That's a crazy amount. Really hope he's worth it.

Though it'll probably be something like 50k up front and the rest when we win the Copa Del Rey.

That was my first thought. 20% of £6m is £1.2m so £350,000 is hardly breaking the bank.

Definitely one for selling in the future. Does show intent, though.

Woah! It's meant to be lil owd unfashionable Manny T that's supposed to be splashing daft cash.

Bloody Swindon and Luton with their bright, shiny southern based casket of a war-chest; us with a shovel in the backyard unearthing grannies hidden china.
